About

The Irish are coming! The Irish are coming! Northern Irish dance-punk trio Two Door Cinema Club have stormed the urban scene with their fresh indie new-wave sound. Think of them as your ticket to catchy dance music without the guilt.

If you've been to any cool-kid parties with plenty of PBR or watched a Microsoft Outlook commercial you've heard Two Door Cinema Club. The debut single "Something Good Can Work" was originally released in 2009 on a trend-setting compilation from fashion house/record label Maison Kitsunè. If you can't remember it catch it on Youtube (it has nearly 15 million views).

Following in the footsteps of French dance-pop phenomena Phoenix and '80s icon Duran Duran, Two Door Cinema Club recorded their debut 2010 album Tourist History at Eastcote Studios in London. Mixed by Phillip Zdar, his vision was to  punch up the beat with rich bass and foot-stomping rhythm. While on tour with Alt-J, Chvrches, Peace and St Lucia, stopping a venues like Fillmore (Philadelphia), their live sets turned into impromptu dance parties, not even the most passive fans couldn't resist the groove.

Their sophomore album Beacon, produced by Jacknife Lee was released in September 2012 and reached No. 17 on the U.S. Billboard 200 with  singles" Sleep Alone" and "Sun." Well thought hooks, good beats, and fearless when it comes to having fun, Two Door Cinema Club is going to have many honorary members wanting to join in.

I haven't had that much fun in a while!!! Much dancing! Much pushing and shoving! I forgot about how much of a horrible dancer I am and just let go!!

  • What a great show!

    by Ireland92 on 9/15/11Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

All three acts were perfect together and definitely solidified a simply awesome alternative rock show. Lonely Forest played their best ones that got the crowd going, then Bombay Bicycle Club slowed it down and let us unwind for a bit....until Two Door came on and just rocked out almost every song available on iTunes. So much dancing, jumping, screaming, and just a really good show!

Two Door Cinema Club was GREAT. Fantastic energy, great music, fun light show and an all-around good time! I've been wanting to see them for a while, and they certainly lived up to my high expectations!

Bombay Bicycle Club was outstanding and the Two Door Cinema Club has a great sound and entertaining on stage. Glad to hear they are taking a hiatus for a couple months to write some new songs.

  • Two Door Blew the Roof Off!!!

by MassiveU2Fan on 9/12/11Theatre of Living Arts - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

The Lonely Forest opened up and crushed!! I hadn't heard their music before, but they sounded unbelievable, and now we're big fans!! Bombay Bicycle Club was the 2nd opener but was the lamest "band" (wouldn't want to credit them enough even to call them a band) we've heard in 10 years of seeing live shows, and not worthy of opening for Two Door. Their music was uninspired and not creative, and painfully monotonous to sit through, and their set seemed to drag on and on. But then, Two Door hit the stage and blew the roof off the place!! Two Door was tight, sounding even better than some of their studio recordings. They did a couple new songs we hadn't heard and they were fantastic. Can't wait to see Lonely Forest and Two Door again live!!!

The show was great- they played all their hits, and one of the opening bands "Bombay Motorcycle Club" was also awesome. Only thing that sucked was the tickets said doors opened at 7, but they didn't open til 7:30. Had to stand in a line that wrapped around the block with a bunch of teeny-boppers.

Friggin amazing. Energetic. Did not slow down once. Good stage presence, lighting.

  • TDCC Rocked the Bostonians' Red Sox off

by suerealism on 9/10/11Royale Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

A unique venue, the Royale presented the perfect setting for this awesome threesome of a show. Lonely Forest kicked it off with some indie-powered college rock, and Bombay Bicycle Club caused much excitement; maybe a bit too much, considering their melancholic tunes, and sweet, melodic howling - I mean, who crowd-surfs to Always Like This? Two Door Cinema Club chimed in about two hours later to the utter excitements of girls and boys alike. I must say that they sound absolutely amazing live, and stream such contagious energy that the audience has no other choice, but to dance. They sang their whole repertoire-of-an-album, plus a couple of new songs: Handshake, This is Moon and Sleep Alone. It's certainly a pleasure to see this band progress, and get more confident both in their song-writing and performing. The TDCC gig is a must to everyone who feels like they appreciate good music, need to feel happy or just want to enjoy a friendly atmosphere + live music.

  • TDCC Killed it

by ImInnLoveWithMusic on 9/10/11Royale Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Two Door Cinema Club knows how to get a crowd going. The show at Royale was so good and I left completely exhausted from dancing my face off and covered in sweat. Everyone else there thought the same thing. Just enough production to keep us going, not too much to overwhelm or detract from the music. I see A LOT of live shows. This was top 5 ever. THAT good.

So full of energy and simply fantastic music, it was incredible from start to finish. The Lonely Forest was adorable - they said they felt like "the little brother" of this tour but they were seriously awesome, and their music is so much better live than recorded, really. Bombay Bicycle Club rocked as well, totally fun and just slightly crazy, with some random crowd-surfing going on. And, of course, Two Door Cinema Club was intense and exhilarating and completely captivating, the whole audience was singing along for most of the songs. Totally recommend, it was amazing!

  • LOVED The TDCC Show!!

by wonkygirll on 4/24/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I am a relative new fan to TDCC. I love their sound and their songs. Was not sure at first about buying tickets to see them, you never know if an act will be good live, but I did. Will never, ever regret it! Want to see more from them!

  • Two Door Cinema Club CAN'T Disappoint

by ErinM8 on 4/18/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Please allow me to relate some details about the first time I heard of Two Door Cinema Club. I caught their performance on The Jimmy Fallon Show back in Jan 2011. I loved their sound and so I bought their album Tourist History the next day. Since then I have been listening to their music everyday whether it be straight off the album, the acoustic versions, "youtube'd" concerts, or remixes. I bought the tickets for this concert months in advance and impatiently waited for April 12th to arrive. With all my anticipation I was worried that they couldn't live up to my expectations. I had heard people talk about the band's work ethic and energy on stage in positive terms so I hoped for the best. TDCC performed brilliantly. They fed off the crowd's energy and put on an amazing show with a double encore. I also enjoyed the Globes' performance and appreciated that they are local.

TDCC is pure brilliance live! The Showbox is a lovely venue as well :)

  • Great Two Door Cinema Club show in Seattle

by CasaHeil on 4/15/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

We saw these guys last year for an awesome show at Nectar. It was great to see them again at The Showbox

  • Two Door Rocked the house!

by luckysidkitkat on 4/15/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

It started of slow, the two opening acts really didn't get the crowd going. As a matter of fact, I was dead center in the very front and I could turn around and see that no one was moving. Ouch for the opening acts. People were dancing and singing to the music the DJ put on while Two Door got set up. Once Two Door hit the stage though, everyone was singing along and shaking the building. I watched the huge speakers sway from all of the commotion. It was pretty obvious that the band was overwhelmed by the turn out and response from the audience here in Seattle. We hope to see them back soon!

  • Two Door Cinema Club worth seeing

by LaylaDancer on 4/15/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

TDCC is a fantastic band to go see. Fun to dance to and sounds great - better than recorded CD. They have great stage presence, and you can tell they had fun.

  • by Ariele909 on 4/15/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

These guys are AMAZING! they sound great live! The only complaint i have is that people were singing along. . . off key. . . thus the four stars. Five for the band.
