Put on a great show. Would definitely like to see them again if they ever return to Kansas City.

About
The Irish are coming! The Irish are coming! Northern Irish dance-punk trio Two Door Cinema Club have stormed the urban scene with their fresh indie new-wave sound. Think of them as your ticket to catchy dance music without the guilt.
If you've been to any cool-kid parties with plenty of PBR or watched a Microsoft Outlook commercial you've heard Two Door Cinema Club. The debut single "Something Good Can Work" was originally released in 2009 on a trend-setting compilation from fashion house/record label Maison Kitsunè. If you can't remember it catch it on Youtube (it has nearly 15 million views).
Following in the footsteps of French dance-pop phenomena Phoenix and '80s icon Duran Duran, Two Door Cinema Club recorded their debut 2010 album Tourist History at Eastcote Studios in London. Mixed by Phillip Zdar, his vision was to punch up the beat with rich bass and foot-stomping rhythm. While on tour with Alt-J, Chvrches, Peace and St Lucia, stopping a venues like Fillmore (Philadelphia), their live sets turned into impromptu dance parties, not even the most passive fans couldn't resist the groove.
Their sophomore album Beacon, produced by Jacknife Lee was released in September 2012 and reached No. 17 on the U.S. Billboard 200 with singles" Sleep Alone" and "Sun." Well thought hooks, good beats, and fearless when it comes to having fun, Two Door Cinema Club is going to have many honorary members wanting to join in.

Hmmmmm.....
by bug33 on 11/1/10Bluebird Theater - DenverRating: 2 out of 5Two Door Cinema Club is a decent act! They're fun and energetic on stage and they have a reasonably tight sound..... plus, they have a fantastic groove when playing live! However, their mixing wasn't great and they played, I think, 8 songs TOTAL! I have no idea why Two Door picked Bad Veins and Funeral Party for openers. Funeral Party was a C- band and Bad Veins was a D- act. Neither lead singer can sing and their drummers both suffer from strong Neanderthal roots........pound much? Funeral Party did have several moments where they shined, but I don't think they'll go far with their sub-par musicianship and mediocre song writing. Bad Veins got some style points, but couldn't even round up a bass player to play with them....opting for a tape backup that gave them a solidly karaoki feel. I guess I have to give them some props because at least they were open about it......they moved that tape backup center stage, where everyone could see it, and simply hit the pause button between songs...... seriously? The bands, however, had one solid thing to their advantage. The predominantly 18 year-old crowd had no idea what good, live music should sound like. All the acts received resounding applause!
Great live show!
by Halvy on 10/31/107th Street Entry - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5Very fun band with a great live sound! Would definitely recommend seeing live. Only a matter of time before these guys make it big here in the U.S. <3 TDCC
High Energy Group in an amazing venue
by zfadness on 10/31/107th Street Entry - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5Two Door Cinema Club put on a show. That's all there is to it. Being in such a venue like 7th St. Entry in Minneapolis, the crowd was right next to the group, and they gave off so much energy it pulled the crowd in. I very much enjoyed their set and would definitlly see them again. Overall a great experience.

3 bands, 1 amazing show
by Tronka on 10/30/107th Street Entry - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5The venue may have made the night perfect. Standing 10 feet from the band then walking 15 feet for refill on a $3 beer? Amazing. TDCC was great. Big energy in a small venue was up-close fun. They had two good band open for them too. Great concert.

The first opening band, GroupLove was absolutely amazing! By the time Two Door Cinema Club got on stage, Webster Hall was completely packed. The band sounded better live than on record, and this was the best show I've been to thus far!!!!!
Fun!
by Ellebelle07 on 10/23/10Webster Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5Their songs are all very similar, but in a good way - very dancey, upbeat, and fun to bounce around to.
Two Door Cinema Club rocked New York!
by historicalfiction on 10/23/10Webster Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5These guys are going to be huge! It's so great to see bands enjoying themselves on stage and the boys of Two Door were no exception. They rocked Webster Hall so hard, I thought the whole place was going to collapse. It was seriously one of the most exhilarating experiences feeling the ground shake beneath my feet. Tune after tune, they had the crowd eating out of the palms of their hands. I had an absolutely amazing time, and I can't wait until they play NYC again! It was definitely a night of fun and great music. I think it's safe to say that these boys won over New York City.
