  • Just Okay

by Me on 12/29/24The Met Presented by Highmark - PhiladelphiaRating: 2 out of 5

Great highlights with the few amazing acts interspersed, but I didn't pay big money to take my family to this show to see the amount of time dedicated to dancing elves doing the same thing over and over and over as they presented. Seriously no point to them, not even for stage prop transition time. I get it if production limited to stage size and height at any given venue, but this show told me Cirque Du Soliel isn't what it used to be - disappointing. This might have been last time I go to see it.

  • Seats had obstructed view

by Donna on 12/29/24The Met Presented by Highmark - PhiladelphiaRating: 3 out of 5

We were not told seats had obstructed view....there is a balcony over our heads which obstructed the top half of the stage...for cirque de soleil, it's important to see the top half of stage.

  • Great for kids

by Novella on 12/29/24Rating: 3 out of 5

I guess if you have been to a Cirque show in vegas, then you will be disappointed at Cirque shows in smaller venues. Overall, cute show and great for kids. Took my teenage son and 19 year old daughter. Son fell asleep twice but daughter enjoyed most of it. Don’t recommend if you are truly expecting jaw dropping acrobatics but a cute performance for young kids.

  • Great entertaining show

Awesome from beginning to end. It held my 5 year old granddaughter attention the entire time

  • A Lovely Whimsical Production

by Katherine B on 12/29/24Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

What a fun show to bring in the Christmas holiday! Full of energy, amazing acrobatics, whimsical characters, and rich colors that delighted the audience of all ages. The narrated story line was exceptionally done as it provided a rich backdrop and painted the scenes for the imagination. A recommended holiday tradition.

  • Overall great experience

by Cindy on 12/29/24Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

Twas the night before Christmas was beautiful. A gift to my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. As usual, the cirque soundtrack was excellent! The performance had a lot of talent. Some of the acts seemed a little weak compared to past cirque events. Also, even though the “do you hear what I hear” act was my favorite… it was a bit sloppy ad one of the light up balls didn’t make it all the way off stage upon being thrown. It was rather distracting. I would give it an 8/10.

  • No expectations

    by Fam5 on 12/29/24Meridian Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Never been before, had no expectations. Left there amazed! Ages 8-47 yrs, all of us loved it, couldn’t keep our eyes off it. My 15yr son didn’t pick up his phone.. I know, that says a lot!! 1.5 hrs felt like minutes. Would go back in a heartbeat.

  • Family Fun

by VW on 12/29/24Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 3 out of 5

Fun for younger generations but definitely not your “normal” cirque show like you’d see under the tent or in Vegas.

  • Not worth the cost!

by CT on 12/29/24Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 3 out of 5

I purchased 7 tickets (Approx. $1,700+) to take all our grandkids ages 13-24 yrs old. Honestly, my wife and I, based on the advertisement, thought there would be more acrobatics which would have been much more appealing for our grands age group. This show was more for much younger kids from 6-11 yrs old. It wasn't dynamic enough for teenagers or adults in our opinion. We'll never purchase for this type of show again at the price point we paid. We're more familiar with the giant tent Cirque du soleil, lots of acrobatic performances.

  • Good production

by Debbie on 12/29/24Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

I found the production to be well executed but feel the show could have had more acts. Due to the venue, height was limited, but seems there was an awful lot of “ fillers” in between the acts.

  • ‘Twas the Night show

by Lin on 12/29/24Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

This show was phenomenal! My kids initially did not like how loud it was in the beginning but they really got into the show and interacted! I would sneak glances and my 5 year old daughter would be dancing to the music and my 4 year old son would be clapping! It was very entertaining and personally, this show was a bit nostalgic for me. Wonderful and magical!

  • A full of happiness Christmas show

by Victoria on 12/28/24The Met Presented by Highmark - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

I had a close seat to the stage. I was filled with the happy performances’ energy. The costumes and music were as usual outstanding.

  • expected more

by terry on 12/28/24Meridian Hall - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

this was a nice performance. however we expected there to be more cirque type of acts.

  • It’s a kids show

by Seasoned Cirque goer on 12/28/24The Met Presented by Highmark - PhiladelphiaRating: 1 out of 5

This is really NOT a Cirque Du Soleil show; it’s nothing more than a (very expensive) Christmas show for kids. It was slow to get going and consisted of a lot of prancing around / dancing, some gymnastics, some juggling, some ariel silks and THATS IT. You’ll read some reviews saying how great it was, but I guarantee those reviewers have never been to a “real” Cirque show. We spent close to $700 for our five tickets. I feel this show was a deception and we were fleeced out of a lot of money.

  • Great performance but disappointed in the lighting

by Cheri on 12/28/24Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

The show was outstanding and I would definitely see it again. However, I purchased front row seats at a premium price and was stuck looking at and dodging two stage lights that were sitting directly in front of me on the stage. I think that was very inconsiderate to have the stage lighting blocking seats or at least the theater should have blocked the sale of those seats. I was very disappointed with this and it took away the overall experience of the show. I could have spent a lot less on the tickets and had a much better view!!!!!!

  • Great and beautiful show

by Dmkgk156* on 12/28/24The Met Presented by Highmark - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

The show was so nice. The Christmas music sounded amazing and the stunts were done to perfection. I’m so glad we got to see this year! Bravo!

  • A Solid B

by MoPast on 12/27/24The Met Presented by Highmark - PhiladelphiaRating: 4 out of 5

If I'd never been to a Cirque du Soleil performance, I'd have been thrilled. I've been to over a dozen shows over the year. This felt like a money-grab for an American audience. The talent was there, mostly. However, there was no heart-stopping acts, like in all the other shows I've seen. There was more dancing, which was beautifully performed, a few acrobatic acts, but nothing like the wheel of death or the high wire acts I've seen previously. It was flawlessly performed, just not breath-taking. Good show, not great.
