A thrilling interpretation of the well-known classic poem "A Visit from Saint Nicholas", this joyful show about the virtues of generosity and friendship promises to leave a lasting impression on families this holiday season. 'Twas the Night Before..., Cirque du Soleil's first-ever holiday production, is a whirlwind of love, holiday cheer, riotous fun, and adorably endearing characters that will establish a new tradition for families to treasure.
It was nice. Enjoyable and entertaining. A lot of the same thing just with different people.
From start to finish exciting every step of the way. The lighting, the performances excellent and great for the entire family.
I’ve seen over 10 other cirque du soleil shows across the world. This one was mediocre at best, it was more of a dance show than a circus show. It was only nice because we got to see it on Xmas eve. Sadly, first ever cirque show I WOULD NOT recommend you attend.
Very well done. Great athletes! We enjoyed the music.
As nice as could be for a smaller theatre. Was also nice show to add to the holidays.
The show was entertaining, however we missed about a quarter of the show because of an obstructed view.
Such a great show. True to the Cirque du Soleil name! Highly recommend
This was our 4th Detroit experience. And the first in a small venue. I was worried that the show would disappoint and unfortunately, I was right. Without a great deal of height available, so many of their seriously dramatic and death-defying stunts couldn’t be accomplished. Tickets weren’t less money just because the venue wasn’t up to task. It’s a beautiful theater don’t get me wrong, just not adequate for this type of spectacle. The story is a beautiful one that most people are well aware of, which means the creativity in this show was limited versus the type of story developed by Cirque in the shows we’ve enjoyed in the past. I would not recommend seeing any show of Cirque reputation unless in a large enough venue such as LCA.
Took my children 19 and 24 to the show and they loved it. Best holiday show yet. Brought the kid out in all of us while bringing us a spectacular performance from the start of the show until the end!!
I have seen Cirque du Soleil shows in the past. Draloin ,O, Ka, OVO. I expected the same level of performance. These shows had what I would refer to "jaw dropping experience". This show did not meet that expectation. I was good as a kids show. Not what I expected. The theater, The Met should have warned that this row had an "obstructed seat". There was a railing right in my line of view. We had the whole row. MEZZ1 Row C Seats 1 through 6. There was a window allowing the bright setting sunlight in and right into our eyes. There should have been a curtain. I was in seat 6 and had to duck down or stretch up to see the stage because of a railing right in my line of sight. Very disappointing !
Show was a little down played from the regular cirque just not as many performers but the ones that did perform were absolutely amazing! My kids loved it. I would have love to see the snowflake ariel performers have one more act at the end but they were all amazing!
Everything was done in a world class manner. The choreography, music, and lighting. WOW! Must see event.
It wasn’t anything I expected from Cirque du Soleil. I’ve never seen them before and I thought it would’ve been a lot more exciting. It was like a kid’s Christmas show.
Wow, what a spectacular show, bravo! The costumes, music and storyline are soooo creative and enjoyable! As usual, the athleticism and skills of the performers is so very impressive! This show really lights that holiday spirit in you and we would see it again, cant recommend enough!
We went as a family to watch the performance. Originally we were a group of 12 but one of our grandsons developed severe abdominal pain and had to go to the hospital. My son-in-law drove him, therefore 2 of our family members did not enjoy the performance. We loved it so much and would love for our grandson and his Dad to have had the experience. Maybe next year they'll come again.
Maybe it was the small stage but ‘Twas the Night Before did not deliver the wow factory of other Circq shows. If it had been my first Circq show, I probably wouldn’t spend the money for a different show.
I am always in wonder of the way a body can move. The strength of the performers is great. The sets, lights and music were completely beautiful, fun and creative. I think the music was a tad loud—but I’m older so I would think that.
Lots of time filled with childish acts between the main performers. Main acts were quite good.
Awesome show! I loved it! Would love to see more shows like it whenever I get the chance to.
My family and I enjoyed this experience so much. My 8 year old daughter exclaimed "I want to give you the biggest thank you of my life"because she loved it so much. It had a variety of skills and the presentation and storyline were well executed! We would definitely go again!
