    AWESOME

by Coachski on 10/8/11El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles

Trombone Shorty continues to get better and better. He crossed over multiple musical genres led by his outstanding play on the horns. I think he will revolutionize american music. You gotta see this.

    Shorty tore it up

by frugaljr on 6/27/11Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

It rained cats and dogs, or maybe tigers and wolves at the Zoo for the T-bone Shorty and Lubriphonic. Fortunately, they were both worth getting soaked for. Maybe they brought us a little extra love due to the situation, but both bands were fantastic. Neither band really has a hit songs to rely on, but it matters not, this is live performance at it's best, highly energetic, interactive and FUN! Shorty refused to let anyone sit, he got everyone up dancing and kept them there for the duration. He's a really amazing talent, and his band was stellar. I feel like I did when we got to see Esperanza Spalding at the jazz fest a few years ago. She was on her way up and so is Shorty. Expect to see great things from this innovative artist. If you ever get a chance to see this cat live, DO NOT MISS IT!

    Trombone Shorty

by imani1701 on 6/27/11Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

One of the best concerts I've seen in a very long time. Even the pouring rain did not keep us from having a good time with this kind of music. I will definitely pay again to see this group.

    Trombone Shorty always delivers!

by 0Sweetpea on 6/27/11Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue give everything they've got, every time, and just keep getting better. They represent New Orleans music and the city itself, and spread joy wherever they go. I dare you to sit still while they're on stage!

    Amazing

by SqueakyCleanAudio on 6/25/11Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

Trombone Shorty was one of the most dynamic performers I've seen live and I've been to hundreds of concerts. He can sing, dance, play trumpet and of course, trombone, as well as any other performer. It is like he channeled James Brown, Michael Jackson, Louis Armstrong and Korn. The perfect mix of musical styles... The only negative was the guy in front of me who was recording a Louis Armstrong cover with his phone. His phone was obstructing my view and the red light kept flashing in my eyes.

    Trombone Shorty was fabulous!

by SLPBlendedFamily on 6/24/11Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

Last year, when my husband and I saw Trombone Shorty at the zoo, we knew our kids would love to hear him. So this year, we got our 26 and 19 year old kids together, and the family went on our first family outing in 10 years! Trombone Shorty did not disappoint! Unbelievably talented musician-- we'll be talking about the concert for a LONG time!

    Best Concert of the Year

by LauHan1 on 6/24/11Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

This was the best concert of the year, and we listen to a lot of music. Trombone Shorty is an amazing musician and a charismatic entertainer. He reached out to everyone in the crowd with different styles of music, display of skill, musical quotes from other performers. Trombone Shorty plays trombone and trumpet, sings and dances. Wow! We thoroughly enjoyed this performance.

Trombone Shorty was Amazing as Usual!

by grammajake on 6/24/11Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

In spite of the rain this concert was fantastic! Shorty is so amazing that it is hard to explain to people who have never heard of him. I liked this concert much better than last year's because he played more than last year (he sang more than played during that concert). His band is also amazing. The drummers were really fun to watch and I love Pete. He is an amazing guitar player. All of the band members are so talented that I would never be disappointed at one of these concerts. I love the way Shorty gets the audience engaged in his music and all the various antics that the band does during the concert.

by Zimmwoman on 6/24/11Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

Love this man and his band! He is high energy, his band is awesome and they put on a fun and unforgettable show! I recommend it to anyone who appreciates musical talent that will keep you on your feet and dancing thru the next day! We watched the entire concert standing in the rain, and not one person in the audience left, he is that good! He is going to continue to grow as an artist, and I hope he is shown the praise he deserves!

Trombone Shorty Is An OUTSTANDING Talent

by Elf134 on 6/24/11Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

Trombone Shorty has a unique sound and is an amazingly accomplished musician! Not only does he play the trombone but also the trumpet - AND sings too! Wildly entertaining, great music - what's NOT to love? Gotta say, though, that I would prefer to see him in another venue. The Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater is cramped and uncomfortable. We also had to put up with pouring rain during the event. The rain didn't dampen Trombone Shorty's hot music, however.
