    Absolutely off the charts energetically.

by mickyw on 2/18/11Bluebird Theater - Denver

I had never seen either artist. I bought the tickets for Los Amigos, as I have a couple of their cds. Wow were they fantastic. Energetic, tight, enjoyable. A very amazing concert. I also enjoyed Trombone Shorty immensely. Lots and Lots of energy. A must concert for dancing and energy.

    Shorty and the Bluebird

by ctsvwagon on 2/18/11Bluebird Theater - Denver

I had seen Shorty live once before and was blown away so I was anxious to take my wife to see him. Although the concert was on a school night I knew seeing him would be worth the lack of sleep. Needless to say Shorty did not disappoint - if you have never seen him you must go see him live at least once. The energy and talent is enough to convince you that the music business is not dead. I would add that there were some serious sound issues both for the band and in the crowd. With a venue that size you would have thought that everything would be dialed in. The band adapted as best they could but of the two times I have seen Shorty I would say I enjoyed the previous venue better than the Bluebird.

    Trombone Shorty

Took the entire venue to a whole new level when he played Louis Armstrong's "Sunny Side of the Street".

Trombone Shorty is a must see performer

by mondodds on 2/17/11Bluebird Theater - Denver

The concert was unbelievable on every level. Great band. Great energy. Great muscianship, and at altitude no less. Shorty did not run out of energy the whole night. The crowd was exhausted before Shorty broke a sweat.

Trombone Shorty is pure exhilarating music!

by katievito on 2/17/11Bluebird Theater - Denver

A beautiful, natural entertainer. Trombone Shorty is a master brass musician and his band was fabulous and well balanced. The sound system was poor because we could not hear his voice when singing and the sax playing and trombone/trumpet were overwhelmed by the guitars and drums (which were excellent but too loud). I believe everyone was most interested in hearing him play his instruments. I wish THIS band had played the half-time show at the Super Bowl..........it would be far more sophisticated and a far higher quality of music!

Trombone Shorty is a must see

by kmacdenver on 2/17/11Bluebird Theater - Denver

Hard to believe a trombone can be the centerpiece of a band but it was awesome.....it was funky, fun, different and hard not stand still - but anyone who stands sitll at a concert shouldn't go anyway - don't miss him if he comes back to Colorado!

Trombone Shorty was way too loud

by HurtEar on 1/3/11Rams Head Live! - Baltimore

Fun band, great songs and groove, but Trombone Shorty was much too loud!!! It was a drag - I right ear hurt for the next couple of days. Really, the first band, Bridge, was much more professional in that they maintained a good sound, without blasting everyone out like hot dogs. I know in my band the guitar players start the volume creep. But really guys, you are good, you are fun, you don't have to push so hard - unprofessional. There is great professionalism in musical space. YOu don't have to fill up every meter with blasting notes. Geez - I'd recommend you with ear plugs

    Trombone Shorty

by MarieKelly on 1/2/11Rams Head Live! - Baltimore

What an amazing performance!! Troy Andrews is from New Orleans yet he has developed his own flavor without abadoning his roots. The music was outstanding and the energy and showmanship of the individual band members was awesome.

    Shorty Stands Tall

by Gregor1122 on 11/8/10Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

This is as good as it gets!! I am a fan of this band!! I have seen them play a number of times having gone to Nawlins' & Jazzfest. To see how this band has grown over the past couple of years is impressive. This was by far the best show that I have seen from them!! Shorty was at his best!!! As he is known for his trombone and trumpet playing abilities, I was impressed at how well his singing has improved. The band was on their mark and didn't miss a beat. I experienced a perfect day while partying all day at the pool of the W on the ocean in 60+ weather, then jammin' to Shorty that evening. Life is Good!!!

Trombone Shorty and Fusik-- incredible combination

by nonicknameprovided on 11/7/10Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

Fusik and Trombone Shorty were both incredible acts. For Fusik to put on a show like that being a local band was electrifying and left me completely impressed. Trombone Shorty absolutely killed it, really made me wanting more. Can't wait until he visits South Florida again. The first act, Ketchy Chuby, was pretty weak, although the guy on the multi-instrumentalist was really good. Lead singer was a bad Steven Tyler-wanna be mixed with Sexual Chocolate from Coming To America-- more comical than anything else. Also given wayyyy too much time on stage. Otherwise, a great night.

by drummer27 on 11/7/10Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

Great show, super energetic from start to finish. During the encore, all the musicians switched around instruments, and Shorty crushed it on the drums too!! Lots of fun, N'awlins Style!
