    Everyone should experience

    by Pat D. on 8/16/23

What a great show! Trombone Shorty brings NOLA wherever he may go. I think everyone should experience this show at least once, but be warned it may become addictive and once will never be enough.

    Go See Shorty

    by chuckrules on 8/16/23

Great evening! Missed Robert Randolph but Mavis, Ziggy, and Shorty all were fantastic! Plan to see Shorty again next time he rolls through town. Highly recommend!

    Disappointed

    by Kelly on 8/16/23

All performers were amazing, but I get annoyed when the headliner performs for barely an hour and the other headliner who I am not there to see performs for over 75 minutes.

Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue/Ziggy Marley

    by RA on 8/14/23

Great concert. Chairs got pretty darn uncomfortable. This was my first reggae concert, and I thought what a better experience then that of Ziggy Marley. I really enjoyed everyone. A true Marley performance. Thankyou 😎

    Great musical evening

    by Christopher on 8/14/23

This was a show with four acts and included Robert Randolph, Mavis Staples, Ziggy Marley with Trombone Shorty and his band closing out. The Pinewood Bowl is a fantastic venue, and the weather helped. The only suggestion is to have a little less time between the acts, as this stretched the evening considerably. Overall a great musical evening.

    Okay event

    by Cid on 8/14/23

Mavis Staples was, by far, the star of the night!! Her energy, powerful voice, and engaging stage presence belied her 84 years! She never disappoints! The four acts were all different musical genres, which I didn't realize when I bought tix. After experiencing these performances, which were quite good but not my favorite genres (except for Ms. Staples!), I would not see this lineup again (except for Ms. Staples, whom we had the pleasure of seeing, with Bonnie Raitt, last summer at the Pinewood Bowl) Would love to see more Blues performances at the Pinewood Bowl, which is the best outdoor venue in the state of Nebraska, imo.

Great show start to finish, awesome range

    by Tommy on 8/14/23

From the opener to the closer, this was a great range of fantastic musicians. The vibe from the first two artists was really awesome and positive. Ziggy Marley had a great performance highlighting the reggae part and Trombone Shorty created an awesome energy for the crowd to finish the night on. Top to bottom it was a blast.

    Excellent

    by MamaO on 8/7/23

Loved the concert. Trombone Shorty had so much energy & really got the audience. My only complaint is Mavis wasn’t on long enough. She is a legend & I was waiting to hear some of her oldies she sang w/Pops Staples. Loved the venue.

    What a fun show!

by Tom and Shellyne on 8/7/23

Our first time seeing Trombone Shorty live and are we thrilled that we did! The venue was great; super comfortable seats (unusual for a concert, right?) and easy/free parking. The band was phenomenal and the interaction with the audience was awesome. We danced the entire time along with everyone else in the room. Mavis Staples was great, as well. Highly recommend!

    Great high energy show

    by Bookmas on 8/7/23

Trombone Shorty gives you your money's worth with a high energy performance. His band is very talented and I like the Hard Rock venue because it is smaller and you aren't so dependent on the huge monitors. I also appreciate his dedication to music education. Seems like a quality person.

    Non Stop Party

    by RB3 on 8/6/23

The title says it all. The band, the lyrics, the music are epic. This my second time this year seeing Trombone Shorty perform. Always exceeds my expectations. NOLA in the house.

    Trombone Shorty is Sensational

by Great show, music and showmanship! on 8/6/23

The opening act with Mavis Staple was inspiring and well received. Trombone Shorty and his band and singers exploded onto the stage with tremendous presence and energy. His song selections were filled with energy and I marveled at how he duetted with practically every instrument of his band members. If you haven’t seen Shorty perform you should treat yourself.
