Trippie Redd In Concert
When rapper Trippie Redd, aka Michael White, gets in front of an audience, it's less a performance and more a raw, unbridled parade of emotions. He reaches deep down to access his most intense feelings and share them with his audience. The passion, hatred, hope, mistrust, joy, sadness, anger, and love in his heart is laid bare for all to see. And of course, in the process, he trots out tunes that went viral and made him a million-selling artist before he was out of his teens, including such crowd-pleasers as "Love Scars," "Dark Knight Dummo," and "Taking a Walk." With a sound that blends hip-hop flow, R&B grooves, and moody alt-rock atmosphere, Trippie Redd is able to attract audiences from across the genre spectrum. He delivers a show full of urgency, intensity, and a visceral dose of street reality as it is experienced in America today.
Trippie Redd Background
Like so many who grabbed the brass ring before him, Trippie Redd came from humble circumstances but created a musical approach that endeared him to millions. He was born Michael White in Canton, Ohio, to an incarcerated father and a mother who had to shoulder the burden of parenthood alone. The budding performer soaked in the sounds of ‘90s R&B and hip-hop from his mother, and those influences fed his own musical vision, which revealed itself at an early age. By the time he was 17, Trippie Redd had released his first mixtape, 2017's ‘A Love Letter to You,' which busted through to the Billboard charts despite its indie origins. By the time 2018 rolled around, the precocious performer had himself a couple of platinum singles ("Love Scars" and "Dark Knight Dummo") and a No. 3 mixtape, ‘A Love Letter to You 3.' That same year, he got around to releasing his first full-length LP, ‘Life's a Trip,' taking it all the way to No. 4 on the Hot 100.
Worst concert I’ve ever been to in my life. He only performed for 30 minutes. Sound quality was terrible and the show was overall low budget.
Trippie Redd came out late and wasn't putting any energy into his performance. Since he came out late he had to cut concert short and abruptly leaving all his fans disappointed.
I was super hyped to finally see Trippie after so long and this was the worst concert I’ve ever been to. I mean I’m happy I saw him but I’m super disappointed with how it turned out. No energy whatsoever and it was less than an hour. By the time is started getting good he left. Better off refunding than putting on a show where he didn’t even wanna be there
I went to this event thinking it was going to be so fun and ended up being the worst event ever!! The artist was 2 hrs late and only played for a total of 30 minutes it was so underwhelming and I regret going at all.
trippie came late and brought out none of the guests he said he would that were supposed to perform with him and just left out of knowwhere without saying anything lol
It was bad like it was just not what i was expecting. Trippie redd disappointed i didn’t even get to what any of his old songs. It was not a good experience and it was my first time seeing him live.
Performed for like 3 hours before trippie got on stage and i was gassed out, then trippie performed for like 30 minutes and just left.
The concert only got 20 minutes. It wasn’t even worth my money that I paid for.
Played for less than an hour. Didn’t sing 90% of the songs and had just had the DJ play his songs. Complete waste of money and time.
I’ve been a trippie redd fan for seven years & I’ve never had the money to see him before but since he was having a tour I just had to see him. I paid $475 to see my all time favorite artist just so he could perform for only 30 minutes, I left the concert crying because i couldn’t believe I just wasted my money that I could’ve used for something better.
if i can give 0 stars i would. cancelled his tour except LA & didn’t say anything ab it, didn’t say bye after his 30 min performance, & original line up was no where to be found. sang 3 good songs and dipped. disappointed to say the least trippie i had high hopes man..
if you down with him performing like 5 songs, go...if not, save your $
Actually the worst concert I’ve ever been to. Waited 2 hrs for Trippie to come on (1 hr is normal because there’s an opener) came on performed for 30 minutes. Didn’t say bye, sang mostly unreleased songs. Overall a horrible experience.
I was pretty excited to see this show, mainly for lucki & dsavage, but to my surprise neither of them were the openers anymore, it was ski masks dj & someone else. He brought out mgk & lil xan for one song each, played 8 songs then the lights randomly turned on. His actual performance was only 49 minutes. I liked the merch tho and his stage was sick, hope trippie doesn’t start falling off bc of this :(
I was really there for D Savage and Lucki, he didn’t even bring them out, played dj as openers for like 2 hours and then only preformed for 45 min then dipped, it wasn’t even packed and now ik why, never going to a trippie concert again 👎
not only did he cancel his whole tour except for his LA show, he came out and performed about 6 songs and brought out the most random artists. The people he showed on the flyer did not come out either, very disappointed:(
Waited a whole 2hrs before he come on, I don’t know who the openers were but it was just two guys playing songs. And SUPER disappointed the Forum wasn’t packed. I love BIG 14 but he seemed like he didn’t even want to be there.
Went to his concert in LA. Supposed to start at 7:30 had a dj from then to 9:30. He come out preformed music no one heard of. Left at 10:10 no warning. DESERVE A REFUND. None of the “friends” listed to go showed up. No longer a fan after this stunt.
I bought my tickets to see lucki and the original line up he had. Was really disappointing especially because nothing was said about it.
He came out for 45 minutes on the only tour date he stuck to in LA and in those 45 minutes he had other randoms perform. he did 2 songs that were good and then left. worst concert i’ve ever been to. he’s a flake
