Trans-Siberian Orchestra On Tour

The holidays rock a whole lot harder than they ever have thanks to Trans-Siberian Orchestra. By infusing seasonal classics with rock flamboyance, a symphonic sense of scope, and an eye-popping visual presentation complete with lasers and pyrotechnics, what began as a side project for a veteran group of American hard rockers has grown into one of today's top-selling acts, with over 10 million concert tickets sold since 1999.

Now, to celebrate the band's 20th year on the road, Trans-Siberian Orchestra is mounting an all-new production of the show that first turned them into an arena-rock phenomenon. First performed in 1999 and recorded for a TV special – which became just as much of a holiday staple as ‘The Sound of Music' – ‘The Ghosts of Christmas Eve' was conceived by Paul O'Neill, TSO's original mastermind. A veteran producer for acts like Aerosmith and Savatage, O'Neill was inspired by the rock operas of The Who and the grandly theatrical concerts of Pink Floyd to create something that was even more spectacular. Together with Savatage members Jon Oliva, Bob Kinkel, and Al Pitrelli, O'Neill developed a unique project that married the spirit of the season with all the exhilarating sounds, operatic grandeur, and visual bravura that fans had come to expect of rock gods. After the massive success of TSO's first two albums, ‘Christmas Eve and Other Stories' and ‘The Christmas Attic,' O'Neill and his team took it on the road (and TV screens) with similarly blockbuster results.

Though TSO's repertoire would extend far beyond holiday songs to encompass the greats of classical music on ‘Beethoven's Last Night' and O'Neill's own original rock operas like ‘Night Castle,' their thrilling and highly singular take on seasonal music remains their trademark. Tragically, O'Neill's passing in 2017 robbed the music world of a true visionary. But his team of friends and collaborators in the Trans-Siberian Orchestra honor his legacy with a new production of ‘The Ghosts of Christmas Past' that both preserves and revitalizes a landmark merger of music, theatrics, storytelling, and seasonal cheer that yielded an international phenomenon.

  • awesome

This show never disappoints! The music was awesome. The only thing I didn't like was the narrator's voice, which was a little muffled. I don't know if that was due to the venue or the location of our seats. If I went to this venue again, I would definitely choose a lower section.

  • One of best concerts ever!

On Dec 22nd, 2024 I saw the Trans-Siberian Orchestra show "The Lost Christmas Eve"and it was one of the most excellent stage and musical experiences I've had in my entire life. And with over 500 concerts attended since 1967 that's saying a lot. Parking was a challenge, the entrance being only 1 and small, not clearly signed in advance. When I finally found it after a half hour of circling around and a chorus of "I'm not quite sure"or "I think it might be over there", I finally stumbled onto the ramp entry, not without some angry honks from other traffic goers. However, I caught over 95% of the show, including "Wizards in Winter", which came only 8-10 minutes into the show. The story was notably different than the PBS Holiday special featuring a teenage runaway, attempting to escape her difficult, but not impossible home predicament. In THAT storyline, the venerable stage and screen actor, Ossie Davis played the protagonist's spirit guide to gently bring her "back to earth"& return to her family. I won't spoil the show for any of you who may go to see and hear this multi-level stage experience by giving the details to the narration. Check out the You Tube video for this show, the time of that recording was the late fall of 2024, I think November 2024, though there are several such videos on You Tube.

  • Very good

by JO on 1/11/25Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The show itself was very good. The light show was excellent. We all--9-- found the music to be too loud as it wipped out the words that were being said or sung. The sound should be lowered a notch or two.

  • Great start of our christmas break

by TSO fan on 1/6/25Frost Bank Center - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen TSO over a dozen times in different cities and this show was one of the best ever! Excellent music and phenomenal effects/pyro!! Definitely planning on seeing them again next year!

  • Great Show!

by Madness on 1/6/25Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Lighting, different musicians, beautiful voices, small surprises, a great show to watch! Note: This is a bit of a Christian Metal, but it was still fun. You will be listening to one blues song, but the rest will be melodic, Christmas themed metal.

  • Need a New Show

by MG on 1/5/25American Airlines Center - DallasRating: 2 out of 5

I look forward to a Christmas show every year and I wish I would have skipped this show and found something else. TSO has very good musicians, but the show is repetitive. I’ve seen this same exact show in 2023. Get a new show. Also the 80’s rock band hair is a little much. When leaving the show, all I over heard from the crowd was jokes about it. Its seems to over shadow the musicianship.

  • The story line

by Marie on 1/5/25Little Caesars Arena - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great show that they put on. It seemed to be much slower not as exciting with so many songs being sung by a single person. The story line I did not care for. Pregnant woman she gives birth and dies. I was a bit disappointed in the show cue to the story line that was read. It took the thrill and excitement of the show away.

  • Awesome Trans-Siberian Orchestra Concert

by Bart on 1/5/25Paycom Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was dynamic from beginning to end! The music was great! The lightning and pyrotechnic effects were phenomenal! The concert lasted a solid 2.5 hours with hardly any down time. The performance by all members was outstanding with each one being recognized throughout the concert as well as the road crew at the end.

  • Awesome experience

by Norm on 1/5/25Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

We saw the Lost Christmas Eve 2024 tour on the last date of the season. Amazing stage show, incredible musical talent and unbelievable vocal talent in the band. Hard to believe this band has been touring since 1999 and I keep forgetting to get tickets each year. We had an awesome time and will definitely check it out again next Christmas season.

  • Second time around

by Rusty on 1/4/25American Airlines Center - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I'd seen them eight years ago in San Antonio so we took our eight year old Grandson to Dallas for their December 28th show. He's been listening to them most nights since he was three so he was on top of the world seeing them live.

  • Budget cuts

by Jetlag on 1/4/25American Airlines Center - DallasRating: 2 out of 5

This was our third year in a row going to see the TSO show. Unfortunately, it will be our last unless they make some changes. In the previous 2 years, the show was a spectacle with moving stages and overhead walkways that moved up and down. Everything about it was big. They have clearly cut way back on the production with fewer performers and way less stage production. Really a shame. It was becoming a Christmas tradition for us, but everything costs more now, I get it. I would rather pay 100 percent more for the ticket than have a scaled-down TSO show. If the powers to be are reading this, PLEASE go back to the big production I'll happily pay more for the tickets. Don't think we don't notice the scaled-back production. We do.

  • Too long

by It’s me on 1/4/25Enterprise Center - Saint LouisRating: 4 out of 5

The show was pretty good. It went on too long, in my opinion. My 34 year old son wanted to go because he remembered we took the kids to see it when he was young and remembered it being very special. It is now in a large venue and less intimate. The talent was great. For us, it just went on too long. The second half, the older songs, was better.

  • Amazing experience. Music and light show great!

by dlf on 1/4/25Nationwide Arena - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

I am a grandma on a limited income. I bought tickets for my family of 8, tickets to this show for their Christmas present. The show was Amazing and the light show was too cool to describe. I was impressed with Nationwide Area "upgrading"our seats to the Club Section. Upgraded seats were due to the complete top area/section was CLOSED. My original seats were divided up. Close to each other but 4 and 4. The change is seating allowed us to all sit together which was nice. The process of purchasing tickets was very overwhelming for me - since I do not do this often. The tickets prices averaged out to $169.11 (4 each @ $151.38 & 4 each @ 186.82). The ages ranged from 12 - 74. This is the reason that I rated 4 star. I just think this price is Outrageous! I would love to do this again next year but not at those prices. Only other problem was my strap little bag was just over the measurement size. Some workers said fine - others said I had to have it go thru Xray and pay $10 for a locker or take it back to the car??? If they x-ray bag, why pay additional for locker? Already paid for parking. I had medicine in bag. Grandmas need a little break on bag size. They X-ray my bag at the Airport and allow me to carry it on the plane??
