Trans-Siberian Orchestra On Tour

The holidays rock a whole lot harder than they ever have thanks to Trans-Siberian Orchestra. By infusing seasonal classics with rock flamboyance, a symphonic sense of scope, and an eye-popping visual presentation complete with lasers and pyrotechnics, what began as a side project for a veteran group of American hard rockers has grown into one of today's top-selling acts, with over 10 million concert tickets sold since 1999.

Now, to celebrate the band's 20th year on the road, Trans-Siberian Orchestra is mounting an all-new production of the show that first turned them into an arena-rock phenomenon. First performed in 1999 and recorded for a TV special – which became just as much of a holiday staple as ‘The Sound of Music' – ‘The Ghosts of Christmas Eve' was conceived by Paul O'Neill, TSO's original mastermind. A veteran producer for acts like Aerosmith and Savatage, O'Neill was inspired by the rock operas of The Who and the grandly theatrical concerts of Pink Floyd to create something that was even more spectacular. Together with Savatage members Jon Oliva, Bob Kinkel, and Al Pitrelli, O'Neill developed a unique project that married the spirit of the season with all the exhilarating sounds, operatic grandeur, and visual bravura that fans had come to expect of rock gods. After the massive success of TSO's first two albums, ‘Christmas Eve and Other Stories' and ‘The Christmas Attic,' O'Neill and his team took it on the road (and TV screens) with similarly blockbuster results.

Though TSO's repertoire would extend far beyond holiday songs to encompass the greats of classical music on ‘Beethoven's Last Night' and O'Neill's own original rock operas like ‘Night Castle,' their thrilling and highly singular take on seasonal music remains their trademark. Tragically, O'Neill's passing in 2017 robbed the music world of a true visionary. But his team of friends and collaborators in the Trans-Siberian Orchestra honor his legacy with a new production of ‘The Ghosts of Christmas Past' that both preserves and revitalizes a landmark merger of music, theatrics, storytelling, and seasonal cheer that yielded an international phenomenon.

  • Rock meets classical, worshipping Jesus.

Saw them last year and loved it so much I ate the cost of two extra tickets when I had to cancel my plans last minute. Wanted to see them so badly I bought two more floor tickets at the last show of the year in OKC. FANTASTIC!!! Audio was loud enough to hear clearly without making your ears bleed, clear vocals, and could easily pick out individual instruments. Some of the most talented vocalists and musicians you'll ever see in a single band/group, but all working together focused on the overall performance instead of how many solos they get. At least once, you MUST see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, even if you have to travel and make a mini vacation of it. You won't regret it.

  • Fun but too long

    by auntym53 on 1/2/25Paycom Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 4 out of 5

I am older and I was pretty uncomfortable in my seat after 2 hours. 2 hours was plenty! I would've enjoyed it more if it was a little shorter.

  • Great music but terrible food..

by Disappointed customer on 1/1/25American Airlines Center - DallasRating: 2 out of 5

TSzo was great. But the food selections are poor, food quality poor (either cold or burnt), and extremely overpriced. Will never eat there again. Food used to be good but providers have changed

  • unique experience

by brian on 1/1/25Little Caesars Arena - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

This show was a mix of, I'd say: heavy metal hard rock, classical, spiritual and soft rock music with an amazing lazer light show. The special lighting was something that we've never seem before. Somehow throughout the show it made me feel like I could be doing something more to help out. The show was a story presented by a narrator followed by many solos. A lot of heavy metal but it all came off really well.

  • A bit more than expected!

by Cmg on 1/1/25Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 4 out of 5

I last saw the show about 5 years ago, and found it to be a great mix of music and a Christmas holiday story. The 2024 show definitely upgraded on the lasers, personally felt it was a bit too much rock/guitar solos - loud and too bright, the lights seemed to be constantly flashing in my eyes. I love that the TSO contributes to tour and add an edginess to the holiday tunes, maybe just a bit over the top for me.

  • Incredible! Can’t wait to see them again next year

  • Great concert - story line was depressing

by Chicagolover on 1/1/25Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 3 out of 5

The concert that was performed was good except at some points in the show it looked like they were not playing the instruments to the music - prerecorded maybe. The story line was depressing since it was about a man that was married that lost his wife when his son was born then he gave it up because the he was told the baby would not grow up to walk and talk like other children! I did not go to this event during the holidays to be depressed!!

  • 2024 Disappointment

    by Miss T 1228 on 1/1/25American Airlines Center - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

It was an ok event...did not meet expectations....had 3rd row balcony seats and couldn't see the performers faces...there was no big screen showing to view up close images .....paid too much money not to have a decent view such as this...show advertising is all hype...program is just a hard rock and roll musical event... Trans-Siberian Ochestra DvD starring Ossie Davis was much better ...yes I know it has been several years ago ....

  • Great show

  • If you want to be amazed !!!

by Proud Grandpa on 1/1/25American Airlines Center - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The quality of the TSO sound and the skill of their singers/musicians simply must be heard in person to appreciate. Recoding cannot begin to provide the listening experience of being there live. It’s a visual feast!!!

  • Best show on earth

by Sandra Cerda on 1/1/25Frost Bank Center - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

It was the best show ive ever seen you have to see for yourself the only part was the smoke way o much was hard to breath other than that it was one of the best shows ever.

  • So much potential...but

by TSO Rookie on 1/1/25Little Caesars Arena - DetroitRating: 2 out of 5

My first TSO experience. I main song that attracted me to the show was played last and turned out to be one of maybe 3 that I could recognize. I thought it was going to be more main stream Christmas songs that I would be familiar with. Too much electric guitar and not enough orchestra. Seems like the 'orchestra' should not really be in the band name since we could rarely hear them. It could have been our venue, but we could not understand one word that was spoken in between songs...basically the 'story'. All of that said the light show was impressive and the vocalists were strong. There is no doubt that there is real talent in the band...just not the Christmas experience that I was looking for.
