About

Train are a Grammy Award-winning rock band who have released 11 studio albums, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. Formed in San Francisco in 1993, Train released their self-titled debut in 1998, but they broke through to the mainstream with their 2001 follow-up, Drops of Jupiter, which became their first of six Top 10 albums behind their seven-time platinum single of the same name. To date, Train have logged six Top 20 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and four No. 1 songs on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, including 2003’s “Calling All Angels” and 2009’s “Hey, Soul Sister.” The group has embraced various genres through collaborations with leading country artists like Martina McBride, Ashley Monroe and Tenille Townes, rapper Travie McCoy and pop singers such as Sofía Reyes and Cam. Train have gone on tour nearly every year since 1996, playing in over 25 countries and sharing the bill with the likes of Hall & Oates, Goo Goo Dolls and Jewel. As of 2024, the band is made up of founding frontman Pat Monahan, Taylor Locke (guitar and vocals), Hector Maldonado (bass and vocals), Jerry Becker (keyboards and guitar), and Matt Musty (drums).

  • Despite seats MUST stand throughout

by Standing only on 8/12/25Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course - GrantvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Paid for a seat but could not sit to see the concert as everyone stands throughout the concert. If you don’t mind standing for almost 3 hours it’s a nice outdoor venue and the concert was good.

  • Perfect night of music and entertainment!

by JoKo on 8/12/25Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course - GrantvilleRating: 5 out of 5

What a fabulous, amazingly fun show! I liked the way they mixed songs in from other artists. They were very interactive with the audience. Edwin McCain, opener, also amazing. I highly recommend seeing them.

  • Train still rocking

by Gelderdog on 8/12/25Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course - GrantvilleRating: 5 out of 5

First time at grantville venue but have seen train various times over the last 20 years. Venue had good sound and seating. They do not do a good job with people moving via parking lots. They should study bethel woods as they can get people in and out relatively quickly.

  • Train was full steam again

by ShanD425 on 8/12/25Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course - GrantvilleRating: 5 out of 5

They sounded amazing! Put on a great show and engaged with the crowd.

  • Train was Great!!!! The venue sucked!

by Blocked from View on 8/12/25Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course - GrantvilleRating: 4 out of 5

First AND last time we will ever go to a concert at Penn National. It was advertised as an amphitheater. That wasn't an amphitheater. That was chairs set up on a flat gravel lot. Have the unfortunate experience of two monoliths sitting in the row in front of you and you don't stand a chance in hell of seeing ANYTHING. Train was, as usual, great! Only thing that would have made that side of the experience better would have been connecting with what was happening on stage by sight as well as sound. I don't know how those guys do it. 90 minutes non-stop. LOVE their style!

  • Awesome show and venue!

by Kevin & Amy on 8/12/25Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course - GrantvilleRating: 5 out of 5

What an amazing show. Edwin McCain was fantastic... sang our wedding song "I Could Not Ask For More"from 1999! Ironically 29 years to the day that we met 8/9/96. Train was amazing, so many great songs. Our first time at the venue at Hollywood Grantville, PA and it was the best. What a beautiful setting with the mountains off in the distance. Highly recommend and thank you for a memorable night!

  • It was amazing

by Pearl on 8/12/25Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course - GrantvilleRating: 3 out of 5

It was such a great experience. They did a 90 minute set of all of their favorite songs. The seats we had didn't have cup holders and they didn't have arm rest on the seats. But other than that, it was an awesome concert. It was great to see train again. I'd love to see them come back to PA next year.

  • Very nice!!!

by SK on 8/12/25Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course - GrantvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! Traffic getting out was not the best. But would definitely go see shows there again

  • Fantastic

by Vivian on 8/12/25Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course - GrantvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Both Train and the Edwin McCain did a phenomenal job, they both sounded great and put on a good shows. I have been to concerts where the artists just sang and left with no interaction. This was not like that and I would go see them again.

  • Train is a must see live show

by mrl5150 on 8/11/25Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 5 out of 5

Great musical experience from start to finish, tight talented band with one of the best vocalists in the business today in Pat Monahan. Not only did they feature their originals but performed fantastic covers as well. Fun band to see live, catch them if you get a chance and hopefully it will be in a great venue like CMAC pavilion

  • Wonderful concert!

by Stayn2busy on 8/11/25Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 5 out of 5

Train and Edwin McCain were both excellent! The sound just a little too loud as the decibels were blowing my watch up with warnings! The venue was great albeit, excessive ticket checks going into the pavilion each time we left for BR or to get a drink.

  • Best show

by Ter on 8/11/25Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to!! Loved it. No complaints

  • So Fun!

Great show including Edwin MCKain!! Really enjoyed both performances.

  • Train

by Frances on 8/11/25Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 4 out of 5

The band was good. My only complaint, Every time the band played a new song people in front of my sister and me stood up. We were in the third tier. So, we couldn't see the stage or the band. We couldn't even watch the tvs available that night. We had big people in front of us that blocked everything. Needless to say, we didn't enjoy the concert as much as we wanted because of it.

by Lynn on 8/11/25Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 4 out of 5

The band was great! They did a nice selection of older songs mixed with newer songs. The venue was not so good. But that’s not the bands fault.
