Both being leftys, my 11 yr old son and I followed our favorite champ Phil Mickelson. Phil made the day unforgettable for us both when he acknowledged my son and tossed him the ball he had just used to complete the 4th hole. My son later told us it was the best day of his life! Thank you Phil!!

I have watched and played golf for many years, but I had never attended an event. After watching the 3rd Round of The Tour Championship, I am an even bigger fan of golf and its professionals. The venue was spectacular, and the golfers put on a show. Of course my first objective was to find Tiger and watch him play, but I also followed Phil, Cink, Ernie, Kenny Perry, and others and was in awe of their mastery of the sport. I am officially hooked. I will attend more tournaments in the future and wish I had bought tickets for the final round. By far one of my best decisions and purchases.
Took my father-in-law who had never been to a major golf tournament. We both enjoyed ourselves and on several homes able to get with 15-20 feet of the tee boxes to watch the action.
The venue was great......easy in and out from Turner Field buses.....only thing that should be changed is the building you had to go into just to exit to get to buses....this seemed a little redundant........was so impressed with ticketmaster leaving me a vm and an email that time changed because of rain...
We thought the course was beautiful and looked in excellent shape. Although the level of golf played the day we went (Friday) was not outstanding, it was enjoyable to see the top 30 golfers. It was VERY hot and humid so everyone was looking for the shady spots from which to watch, but in general it wasn't overly crowded except toward the end of the day when everyone was trying to see the last 2-3 groups on the last 2-3 holes. OUR BEST TIP: don't suffer the hassles of using the mandated parking at Turner Field followed by 30 minute shuttle ride. The course was easy to drive to, not hard to find and several homeowners were offering safe parking on their properties a short walk from the course for $10-$20. Some on 3rd Ave and some on Ashley.
One of the best run and friendliest golf tournament I've attended
Excellent event, weather was great, facilities were excellent. Courteous volunteers, easy parking and shuttle to the course - and the golfers were great - just as you would expect for the 30 best players in the world. Couple of quadruple bogies (Mickelson and Cink) made for interesting discussion. Course was in great shape - especially since we had so much rain in the Atlanta area during the previous few days.
I took a friend of mine to the championship who has just picked up the game of golf recentenly. He enjoyed the experience it was my second time at thechampionship the first was in 2006. The parking was appropiate no hassle. great time
Beautiful Course. Within feet of the players. Well run. Coaches from parking to event were comfortable, clean and timely. Great for young to old. Just remember there is a LOT of walking.
Great time, I took my 12 year old son, and he got 20 autographs, 1 glove, and 9 golf balls from the players as they were on the golf corse, cant beat the price of the tickets, I will go back again, and again!
I purchased these tickets as a Fathers Day present for my husband and we had a great time! The event was well organized and we were able to see all of our favorite golfers.
The Tour Championship is a better fan venue than the masters. Better viewing oppotunities. Better facilities. Nicer volunteers. Job well done.
Players were great, golf was great and the course was beautiful. However the corporate greed and setup of stands was terrible. When two of the last three holes you can not even watch or have any access to because the greens are surrounded by corporate tents is riduculous. I have no problem with corporate tents but they should only surround part of a green so that everyone has a chance to view the greens on a hole at some point. For that these reason alone I would never go back to these tournament and a lot of other people where talking about the same thing that attempted to follow a player and were blocked on 16th and 18th. Additionally, the prices in the concession stands are a rip off. Try looking at the example of the Masters.
I was happily surprised at the level of courteous treatment shown by every level of persons working the event. Everyone from the concession person to the marshals on the course could not have been anymore helpful. Nice going!
The set up at East Lake Country Club is impeccable. From the entrance building to the concessions to the toilets. Everything was well laid out, easily accessible and convenient. Concession prices were ridiculously high and one would think free Coca Cola would be available but that was not to be. Overall, a great experience.
I had a wonderful day of watching the best players in the world play a tough course. The conditions were perfect on Friday, hot and humid. The course was in great shape after all the rain that Atlanta had recently. Perfect day and I will be going back if I get another opprotunity.
My father in law and I had a great time at the 1st round of the 2009 Tour Championship. On Thursday you have a better change to see player closer than over the weekend. The grounds were on magnificent shape. East Lake is a 1st class course. Leaving in Atlanta, I am graceful that the last tournament is here ... thanks to Coca-Cola.
