As long as the weather holds out, which it did beautifully, this event is always a great time. Ground access is great so I recommend a glass a wine and a see at the mid point of 17.
The free transportation between parking was extremely easy and fast. We did not leave the course until after the las pair finished and we were back at our car in less that 30 minutes. The Course was fantastic and closeness to the golfers was iincredible. This ranks right up there with the masters.
This event was huge, lots of crowds, but somehow it felt very personalized. The volunteers were all very kind and professional, they provided regular updates to galleries and to passerby everywhere really. My 11 yr old son had a wonderful day and enjoyed seeing all his favorite golfers in person. Unfortunately no cameras or phones were allowed so it would not be possible to upload pictures or videos from the event. I look forward to returning again next year, God willing.
Never have been to a golf championship before. But this being the final event, and living so close, we had to go. Being retired military, they even had a tent on the 16th hole with free food and drink. Couldn't have had a better time.
It was a blast from start to finish. Its always great when you can see the players up close and personal.
It was great to see Tiger at the Tour championship on Saturday. Not to many patrons, I believe due to the recession. Had a great time at East Lake Golf Club, thanks!!!
We had an enjoyable time , except we found out too late that military personnel were admitted free.
Thank you Ticketmaster for the craniums up on the change in start time. It was so smart of the tournament officials to move up the t-times to 0800 to beat the weather. I enjoyed both days this weekend. Ticketmaster was easy to work with and I was thrilled to print my tickets at home.
We had a great day Saturday. Nice spectator course. We opted to take a taxi back to Turner field rather than wait in a sea of people on scaffolding to ride the bus. There didn't seem to be a taxi stand around anywhere. Only had to walk a block to catch a cab, though. Maybe have more parking & pickup locations next time.
My husband and I took our 10yr old and we enjoyed being upclose. Easily found seats at the 18th green and watched the top players finish their rounds. We used a Viewer and it was easy to keep up with players, stats and live video of the action. No cameras, cellphone etc so no pictures but it was fun to catch the network coverage later in the day and see where we had been sitting.
Never been to a pro golf tournament before, and was not disappointed. Got to see some of the best players in the world up close.
This event is great because you are guaranteed to see the best players on tour. It is easy to get to see most of the best players without fighting for a good place to see and you can even get a good shot at Tiger a few times during the round.
The Tour Championship this year was great!!! The shuttle service was very convenient. The grounds were in excellent shape and there were many opportunities to get up close and personal with you favorite players.
The event was great. The skill level of the players is as you expect outstanding. The food concessions were very good but pricey. The shuttle bus service to the course was excellent.
The Tour Championship was a fantastic event. It was truly wonderfuly to see the golf champions close up and to watch their play. The volunteers at the event could not have been more helpful. We are definitely planning to attend this event again next year
I had a great time. Everything you can imagine was thought through and executed perfectly. I plan on going back next year.
I thoroughly enjoyed my day at East Lake. The staff working the event was very professional and friendly, and the fans were a bunch of fun. The course was in outstanding shape even with the areas recent rains. The biggest kudo goes to ticketmaster who alerted me via cell and email about the time change for the event. THANK YOU!!! I will certainly use you again.
Tour moved time up because of weather. We knew when tiger was teeing off so we arrived later than we normally would. Bus driver got turned aroung, so it took us a long time to get to East Lake. We weren't concerned because we had what we thought were assigned seats in the grand stands. Guess what the assignment on our tickets meant nothing in the grandstands. Had we gotten their earlier we maybe we could have gotten better seats. Event was spectacular. Weather didn't arrive until event was over. Only really bad thing was the wait in the tent with 50,000 other hot people waiting for busses to arrive. Overall it was well worth the price and the thrill of the event was well worth any aggravation.
The TOUR Championship was a very good event. We had a great view of the 9th green and then enjoyed the grandstands at 18 to watch the twosomes finish their matches. While it was a great touch to have general parking at Turner Field (which was free) and shuttle everyone in (also free), the logistics to get people out and back onto the buses left much to be desired. We were packed like sardines inside the Pavilion for 20 minutes and then waited another 15-20 minutes in queues to get on the bus. They should definitely rethink the exit strategy for next year. Other than that, the event was wonderful.
This s proably the most well-run tournament in golf. It is always a pleasure to go. Bravo to the officials for starting early and avoiding the latest monsoon. Bobby Jones would be proud!
