Thank Goodness We Have NFL Football!!

by ravenqueen on 8/1/12M and T Bank Stadium - Baltimore

It started out very interesting and different, but a 0-0 score in an exhibition game was ridiculous. It was so hot that every player and fan was probably suffering heat exhaustion. It's too bad that the game couldn't have been scheduled later in the day. Our biggest mistake was buying an advance parking permit for Lot O. The police weren't there to help traffic leave. It was at least 40 minutes at a stand still.

    traffic was horrible

by legend147 on 8/1/12M and T Bank Stadium - Baltimore

the facility was great, the game was pretty good, but getting out of the area of the stadium was a nightmare! we went about 100 feet in 45 minutes after we got to our car, and that was after hanging out in the stadium after the game for a half hour or more. the public address system broadcasting music before, at half time and after the game was way too loud

Nice stadium and very good location

by Kickice on 8/1/12M and T Bank Stadium - Baltimore

M and T Bank Stadium is an excellent place to see a game, good location too, very accessible via Baltimore's light rail system, and very close to down-town, and next door to Camden Yards. Easy to get into, reasonably good service inside, some long waits though during the half time. As for the game we went to (pre season soccer game - Liverpool v Spurs), it was way too hot, just a dumb time for a game (1pm in the blazing heat), so it made for a very poor game. Too many fans moving around constantly and standing where they shouldn't be, so very hard to even concentrate on the game. There really should have been more attention given by the stadium staff/stewards, to get people to move and stay seated. But this never happened.

    Liverpool-Spurs @ M&T Bank Stadium

by GAHogg on 8/1/12M and T Bank Stadium - Baltimore

Took my son, 13, and daughter, 10, to this preseason exhibition game. Baltimore is a great city with excellent transportation options and plenty to do on a long weekend - plus it's near DC and other destinations so I recommend any event you may be considering in this city. Camden Yards is as good as any baseball stadium and as said earlier there are plenty of options for a young family. Now to the game itself: M&T Bank Stadium is a great venue if you have lower deck seats. Be ready to pay the extortionate prices for food and drink, and if you can afford souvenirs, bring plenty of patience as there are limited outlets making the lines long...Liverpool and Spurs put on an OK show for an exhibition. Neither side were intent on getting hurt, so it was understood this wouldn't be an intense premier league-type game, but at least some of the big name players got on the field.

    Great experience

by mbg4 on 8/1/12M and T Bank Stadium - Baltimore

Our family of 4 went and had a enjoyable experience. Seats were great, and the chance to see English football was a wonderful opportunity for all of us. The crowd was enthused and well behaved. Much different than a Ravens game.....no drunks around...:)

It was too hot for the players and the fans which slowed down the pace at which the game was being played.

THE GAME WAS VERY BORING...ONLY A FEW PLAYERS ON BOTH TEAMS LOOKED LIKE THEY CAME TO PLAY...BUT AT THE SAME TIME....IT WAS A VERY HOT DAY...WE WERE ROASTING IN THE STANDS...SO MAYBE THAT WAS THE REASON FOR THE POOR PLAY.....I AM A DIE HARD LIVERPOOL FAN AND I MUST SAY...I ENJOYED THE CHELSEA /PSG GAME

    Too hot for football?

by LFCFan74 on 7/31/12M and T Bank Stadium - Baltimore

It was a bit too hot for the two European teams. The pace of play, even for a friendly, was rather slow. Not really worth the $200 and extra fees like parking and $4 water.

Wrong place for a pre-season friendly

by Anonymous on 7/31/12M and T Bank Stadium - Baltimore

Too hot for fast football, and disappointing neither team sought to put on a spectacle given how far people had travelled and how much they paid for tickets. No stars for the stadium - all rucksacks had to be left in an unsecure area outside the stadium. No warning was given, so we had to carry valuables (wallet, passport, camera, phone etc) in our hands for the whole event. Then only 2 people there to return bags which meant we had to queue for ages. Poor show M&T stadium.

Mediocre uninspired ripoff - Liverpool - Tottenham

by Futbol1234 on 7/31/12M and T Bank Stadium - Baltimore

Despite the heat of 95 degrees, players should have felt some professional responsibility to provide a demonstration of why the EPL is considered great. Instead, the players casually stroked the ball around the backfield, letting the keeper distribute long balls and, in the words of Gareth Bale, just try to "build our fitness and get a good workout." Dreadfully boring!

by Sndhandsmoke on 7/31/12M and T Bank Stadium - Baltimore

Seriously what a snoozer of a football match. had fun, no doubt because we were all laughing about how pathetic the match was. oh and Andy Carroll. had a good laugh on his behalf.

I would recommend sitting in the club level for any events at M&T Bank Stadium. In the afternoon, our seats were in the shade which was such a huge plus seeing how hot it was.

    Liverpool Forever

by Estiven on 7/31/12M and T Bank Stadium - Baltimore

Even though there was a bit of traffic getting to the stadium, the Baltimore Ravens Facilities are great. The game was not the best quality but giving that both teams were in pre-season it was excusable. The atmosphere was wonderful as the Liverpool fans sang and cheered throughout. The weather was really warm so if you weren't prepared it would of seriously affected you. Overall tremendous experience, it was a thrill to see some of the stars of the English Premier League playing on US soil!!

Would have been better if someone had scored

by LPSr on 7/31/12M and T Bank Stadium - Baltimore

Great to see the two teams play in Baltimore. Would have liked it better in DC, but that's just because it would be closer to me. Would have been better if one of the teams actually scored. It was very anti-climactic with the end being a 0-0 tie.

I understand soccer, but if you're trying to generate interest in the sport in America this is not the way to do it. A 0-0 tie with star players barely playing made for a very dull game.
