Tori was great! Front Row fans were entitled & CRUEL!
by Jeremy A on 1/15/25Rating: 3 out of 5My first Tori “concert” was an event for RAINN back in 1991 just before Little Earthquakes was released. She became the face for this incredible organization and played “Me and a Gun” and a few other songs from her upcoming Little Earthquakes album. It was a small, intimate event I was lucky enough to attend as a friend’s “+1”, I fell in love with Tori and her amazing talents and the rest is history. In the early days I would see as many shows as I could (10+ shows for the LE, UTP, Pele & Choirgirl tours). Meet and greets were fairly small until Pele but I’ve had the pleasure of speaking to Tori many times and she actually knew my name at one point. I’s attended every tour since but since I’ve become disabled I can usually just see Dallas shows. For the Oceans tour my parents bought me a $500 “VIP” ticket which allowed me to sit 2nd row, front and center. There was no “VIP” experience…. Just a good seat… and I was the ONLY person in the 2nd Row until 10 minutes before showtime when they pulled people from further back to fill up the 2nd row. Apparently, Meet & Greets are now only virtual and Tori personally gives out all Front Row tickets. I was shocked at how entitled, young, female and rude the entire Front Row was. I was by myself so I tried to speak to some of them to ask about how Meet & Greets work these days and to gush about my love for Tori but the entire first row would not speak to me. I was completely ignored, told to shut up and to “stay where I belong” even though I was in my seat. I got up to say “Hi” to the girl sitting caddy-corner to me and she actually put her hand on my chest, pushed me backwards hard enough to knock me back onto the armrest of my seat and told me to “get back to the 2nd row! The girl in front of me kept flipping her hair, hitting me in the face and laughing. Almost all of these females appeared to be in their twenties but I was so close I heard their conversations and the girl in front of me was only 16. I felt so rejected I almost left before the concert started. Luckily, the people they moved down to fill in the 2nd row were AMAZING and they convinced me to stay and I had plenty of people to speak to (even though the girl in front of me continued to hit me in the face with her hair and laughing and the couple beside me threatened to turn her into security. It surprised me that Tori would handpick these “Cornflake Mean girls” for the front row. Tori was great but her audience seems to have changed dramatically.
