TOOTSIE on Tour
"I LAUGHED MY MASCARA OFF." -ABC
Dorothy Michaels is the biggest sensation to hit Broadway in years. She's talented, outspoken, and an inspiration to everyone around her. In fact, she's quite literally too good to be true. Because squeezed into Dorothy's sensible size-12 pumps is actually Michael Dorsey, an out-of-work actor willing to do anything for a job — even if it means playing way against type. Now, as audiences fall for Dorothy and Michael starts to fall for the woman of his dreams, he's learning that the hardest part of show business isn't getting to the top... it's keeping up the act.
Starring Tony® nominee Santino Fontana, TOOTSIE is "the must-see musical comedy of the season!" (ABC). Don't miss this "outrageously funny" (Time Out) new production featuring a score by Tony winner David Yazbek (The Band's Visit, The Full Monty), a book by Robert Horn, choreography by Tony nominee Denis Jones, and direction by eight-time Tony nominee and Olivier Award winner Scott Ellis.

Tootsie was outstanding ; a little bad language not for young kids!
This show is fun! The entire audience spent the entire time literally laughing out loud! The talent is real and is amazing!
Seats were superb! Performance exceeded expectations. Enjoyed the experience.
Enjoyed every hysterical minute!! Telling all my friends not to miss it!
A stage full of talent. Characters you'll love. A wonderful adaptation.
A very light hearted and well presented comedy. The lead actor played the male/female role to perfection. Supporting cast were very good. The first act did get a little slow but the play came on strong after intermission. We would recommend.
Great show! I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. Loved it. Want to go again!!! <3
Just loved the entire show. Cast wast great. Non stop fun!!
Had a wonderful time. Many laughs. You won't be disappointed.
It’s hard to say what character had the best role. Santino as Dorothy was phenomenal. How he switches from Dorothy to Michael in voice and mannerisms is a tribute to his acting ability. But the other characters including his room mate, his wanna be girlfriend, the narcissistic director and the producer, the tattooed wanna be Dorothy lover along with Dorothy make this an ensemble show that works. I also could listen to Lilli Cooper’s singing for ever. I hope this show runs a long and happy life!! Bravo David Yazbek.
Ticket process was easy, seats were good, talented cast, some songs were great, others forgettable, such a FUNNY show, enjoyable experience!
Weekend in NYC as my retirement gift from the office and it was my daughter’s birthday celebration. Tootsie was an amazing show with talent bursting from the cast. Highly suggest you see it! Lucky for us we selected the 2:00 pm show that day because the July 13th blackout interrupted our dinner plans. It was my first Broadway show and I think I’m hooked. I’ll be back!
From Prince Topher to Greg Serrano, Santino delivers. But his role as Tootsie displays his versatility, comic timing and simply brings out the star that he is.
Very funny show. Well with written with many unexpected zingers. Lyrics were also also incredible. Well acted. I recommend this 100% for comedy lovers. Be advised it is adult themed with explicit dialogue.
I'm not really a Musical guy, but this looked fun to take my wife too, and the Tonys confirmed it was worth checking out. I'd seen and loved the movie when it first came out and recently, while my wife never had. I didn't know if that would vary our opinions, but we both loved it. The conversion from a TV actor to a theatrical actor worked perfectly and the live actors portraying live actors was beautiful. It stays with the original story just enough that the changes surprise and delight. I laughed 'till I cried, over and over.
I laughed alot and aloud. Songs are passable even if not very memorable. Casting is great and everything adds up to a traditional Broadway musical comedy
I thought I would like "Tootsie" but I was wrong. I loved it!!! The music, lyrics, acting, costumes - all of it! For the first time in my theater-going life, I actually laughed so much there were tears coming down! I especially loved John Behlmann's turn as the puzzled, clueless Max and Andy Grotelueschen's Jeff. In fact, it was Andy's "Jeff Sums It Up" that brought me to tears (the good kind). Sarah Stiles was great, too. Come to think of it, everyone on the stage was fantastic!! So, I have no choice but to return. This will be one of the few that I'll see at least twice. Do yourself a big favor - enjoy the experience of "Tootsie"!!
Lead actor, GREAT! Music, just okay Cast, very good
My friends and I enjoyed this show--- (these performances)--- so much that, yesterday, we bought tickets to see it again!!!
