About

Toby McKeehan, better known as tobyMac, has spent most of his life as a successful Christian recording artist. The Virginia native first formed the vocal trio DC Talk in 1987, creating five major studio efforts and an EP, all of which merged gospel and rap with tinges of alt-rock. One sign of their reach: four of the six releases earned Grammy Awards in the Best Rock Gospel Album category.

In 2000, after several rounds of European and North American concerts, DC Talk called it quits, leaving tobyMac to focus on his solo career. In 2001, the performer unleashed “Momentum,” followed by nine other records. Now one of the most well-known performers in the Christian rap genre, tobyMac received his own Grammy nod for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album with his fifth studio set, “Eye on It,” which surfaced in August 2012.

TobyMac, who continues headlining the occasional tour, has hit the road in years past with other popular ticket-selling Christian outfits like Audio Adrenaline, Skillet and Jamie Grace.

    An incredible and uplifting night!

by Brandy on 3/26/24Charleston Coliseum - Charleston

This concert was absolutely amazing! I had a great time. The music was outstanding and the artists truly gave their all to put on a good show. I couldn't recommend this group of artists more. The songs speak truth and hit deep. Love being in a room surrounded by thousands of believers in Christ with hands lifted high in worship and praise!

    Fun, Exciting, Refreshing.

by D Nash on 3/26/24Charleston Coliseum - Charleston

This concert exceeded my expectations. They were timely, did not waste time in transitions between acts, and the interaction with the audience was wonderful. Having been a fan of TobyMac for 30 years, but yet unfamiliar with some of the other acts, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the entire show. It was such a fun show! I am so glad I decided to go and take my 10-year-old daughter.

    Great main act

by Wendy on 3/26/24Charleston Coliseum - Charleston

Great main act but the base was a bit too loud. For the other acts the base & other instruments were way too loud & the sound was really bad when Cory Asbury started singing. I doubt I will pay that much to ever see this concert again. This was the second time in Charleston & it was similar last time also.

    Awesome Experience!

by Fle on 3/26/24The Liacouras Center - Philadelphia

The day of the concert, while at morning Mass I prayed for safety for all attending the concert and for an awesome experience for my daughter as this would be her 1st concert. She's 11 and I just wanted this 1st concert experience to be safe and awesome in a special way. After buying some merch & drinks/snacks, on our way to find our entrance to our seats, a young, red haired beauty asked if we were TobyMac fans. My husband said "no but they are"referring to my daughter and I (he wrestles w/ God a bit). She just so happened to have 3 back stage passes left that she was handing out and there were 3 of us. I took them excitedly and thanked her, but I have to be honest, I thought it was not real, like perhaps a prank. But we took her word for it, and followed the directions she gave for the end of the show and met up where the slip of paper said to. And sure enough, together w/ the group of folks gathered there, we were escorted back stage and given instructions on when to enter to go out on stage while TobyMac was performing his last song and to dance and have fun until the lights went out!! Then we could exit from there. This day was full of answered prayer and renewed hope as my spirit was so weary from the good fight that I was starting to doubt the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. I never in a million years would've thought my cynical husband would join us for a Jesus concert, let alone see him dance on stage at one! As I reflect I can see how the hand of God orchestrated every detail, even my craving for a specific drink which had it not been for that we would not have passed by the girl handing out those passes. God is good all the time! Even in our suffering & doubt he hears our cries! Cry out to Him and seek Him in the Eucharist! He is present to us there, this is what He suffered & died to give us (John chapter 6). Lord give them eyes to see and ears to hear that your flesh is the bread of life and the bread of life is your flesh. Amen! This was definitely the most awesome, most memorable 1st concert experience for my daughter! Thank you Kevin Michael McKeehan for singing your heart like King David! May God bless the work you do always!

    Energetic, Encouraging, FUN

by CA on 3/25/24The Liacouras Center - Philadelphia

Toby and the DiverseCity band always put on an amazing show full of energy, playfulness, creativity, and heart. There are thought-provoking lyrics and important reminders about what's important in life. You find yourself standing and singing along to every song. Love the horns AND THE DISCO BALL!!!! He had tremendous openers for the show in Philly including Mac Powell, Tasha Layton, and Jon Reddick. Cory Asbury was fun to see in person. Highly, highly recommend you see Toby any time he comes to your city.
