TOADIES IN CONCERT:

Alt-rock icons the Toadies are back on the road, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 1994 debut album Rubberneck with a series of grungy, distortion-laden shows. Performing the classic album front to back alongside hits from their other releases, the Toadies take the stage with the same muscular sound that propelled them to fame back in the '90s, and audiences wouldn't have it any other way. From "Possum Kingdom" to "Doll Skin," fans can expect to hear all their favorites as the band hits the road for their Rubberneck 20th Anniversary Tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in Texas in 1989, the Toadies toiled in relative obscurity before skyrocketing to fame with their seminal 1994 debut LP Rubberneck. The album spawned six singles including the wildly successful tracks "Possum Kingdom" and "Away," earning platinum certification by the RIAA and landing the band on tour with a number of big-name acts including the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bush. After y ears of extensive touring, the band released their highly anticipated sophomore LP Hell Below/Stars Above in 2001,but went on hiatus after the album failed to gain traction. Following a five-year hiatus, the band reunited in 2006 and they've been at it ever since, treating fans to another round of shows on their Rubberneck 20th Anniversary Tour in 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"20 years later and they never fail to impress. The show was beyond unbelievable!"

"Toadies proved that they still rock!! Not only did they sound great live, but they put on a stellar show. Playing the oldies (which had the whole crowd singing) and showcasing the new stuff."

"After playing the entire Rubberneck album to open their show, they then proceeded on to playing a variety of their best songs from their other albums... The band fed off of the energy of the crowd and vice versa."

    Amazing experience!

by Geist on 10/30/22Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

Everything about this show was fantastic! Sounded great, they put on a fabulous performance and I finally saw one of my favorite bands live! Venue is fantastic, but parking sucks. I love that the Buckhead theatre has plans in place for people who feel unsafe and they’re great at checking IDs. Drinks are pricey but poured accordingly.

    Great show!

by Alex on 10/29/22Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

This was my 14 year old sons first concert. We got balcony seats because I thought it would work out best. Before the concert began we ordered food. The quality was really good. My son was really excited and as the concert progressed, he tried to move closer for a better view. After the opening band, I headed towards the restrooms ( which were CLEAN) The usher walked over and suggested that we move to the front row since the seats were vacant and he noticed how excited my son was. After a very good concert, we went back to the merchandise area where several of the musicians took the time to talk with my son and autograph the shirts we bought. I could not have hoped for a better experience. With the help of some great musicians and the professional staff at the Buckhead Theater, I was able to be a “cool” parent for at least day.

    Awesome show

by Old school on 10/29/22Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

Incredible show. Up close and personal with the bands. Would be nice if there were some seats where you could sit for a bit but i would definitely come back. The Reverend and Toadies still got it! I've seen them both a few times when we lived in Texas, they're still just s good. If you get the chance you have to see them.

    Hard to hear singers

by S. E. on 10/26/22The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

Only complaint was that it was difficult to hear the voice of the singers. The instruments overpowered the singing.

Nice Venue, Booze Was Way Too Expensive

by Rodman on 10/26/22The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

Shot and a beer plus tip = $27 Spent $218 on booze, ha Venue was nice otherwise, Toadies and the Rev put on a great show

    Great performance. Great Venue.

by Chris on 10/26/22The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

Toadies never mail it in. Even on a Sunday night when the crowd doesn’t hold up their end. Toadies always bring it. I have never been to a show like this where the crowd was so passive. Any energy in the room was all one sided with the band providing just about all of it. I don’t understand why someone would pay money, come out on a Sunday night and then act too cool to sing or clap along to a classic album. Lots of single, scraggly bearded guys with their arms crossed pretending they were above the fun. This room itself is a great place to see a show. The sound was fantastic. The room temp was perfect. Drinks easy to get. Only criticism is the merch line in the lobby area. What a mess. I hope the fans show up next time with the intention to show Toadies the love they deserve.

Toadies always deliver a great rocking show!

by Patternseen on 10/19/22Irving Plaza - New York

This was probably the seventh time that I've seen them play in NYC. The first time I saw them play was on the street in NYC and they were amazing. I remember going to look for "Rubberneck" on cd soon after. All of their albums are great but, "Rubberneck" is truly an amazing album. I look forward to seeing them play again, hopefully in support of a new album.

by JNYC on 10/19/22Irving Plaza - New York

I have lived Irving plaza since the 90’s, every time I go I have a great time. Toadies with Reverend Horton Heat was no exception. Great sound and crowd.

    Amazing Show

by Stephen on 10/19/22Irving Plaza - New York

The band did Rubberneck from start to finish. The best part was I had no idea they were going to play the album going into the show. What a nice surprise! Hearing one of the best rock albums from the '90s aside, the Toadies later catalogue is solid and having the one and only Reverend Horton Heat open the show just added to the amazing experience.
