TOADIES IN CONCERT:
Alt-rock icons the Toadies are back on the road, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 1994 debut album Rubberneck with a series of grungy, distortion-laden shows. Performing the classic album front to back alongside hits from their other releases, the Toadies take the stage with the same muscular sound that propelled them to fame back in the '90s, and audiences wouldn't have it any other way. From "Possum Kingdom" to "Doll Skin," fans can expect to hear all their favorites as the band hits the road for their Rubberneck 20th Anniversary Tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed in Texas in 1989, the Toadies toiled in relative obscurity before skyrocketing to fame with their seminal 1994 debut LP Rubberneck. The album spawned six singles including the wildly successful tracks "Possum Kingdom" and "Away," earning platinum certification by the RIAA and landing the band on tour with a number of big-name acts including the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bush. After y ears of extensive touring, the band released their highly anticipated sophomore LP Hell Below/Stars Above in 2001,but went on hiatus after the album failed to gain traction. Following a five-year hiatus, the band reunited in 2006 and they've been at it ever since, treating fans to another round of shows on their Rubberneck 20th Anniversary Tour in 2014.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"20 years later and they never fail to impress. The show was beyond unbelievable!"
"Toadies proved that they still rock!! Not only did they sound great live, but they put on a stellar show. Playing the oldies (which had the whole crowd singing) and showcasing the new stuff."
"After playing the entire Rubberneck album to open their show, they then proceeded on to playing a variety of their best songs from their other albums... The band fed off of the energy of the crowd and vice versa."

Rating: 5 out of 5by AntiMyth on 7/18/10House of Blues Houston - Houston I don't usually like opening bands, especially ones I've never heard, but Quiet Company, out of Austin, were great. I even bought a shirt and a CD, which is unheard of. They have a modern Beatlesy vibe. The Toadies were freakin amazing as expected. I've never seen them bad.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Toadies rule, in general
by Vickis on 8/3/09Crocodile Rock - AllentownThe venue was small, yet comfy. The bathroom was gross, but thats usually the case. The band put on one of the best shows i think ive ever seen. Then, came out to chill with the fans afterwards. it was an overall awesome experience.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Beyond expectations! They sound better than ever!
by Grandtheft79902 on 8/2/09Wasted Space at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las VegasI go to a lot of concerts and don't always get a bang for my buck, but this time I almost felt like I underpaid. I even bought their new cd outside the door, and usually all I would do is download it for free but I want them around so I figured I'd contribute. If u have a chance to go sew them don't miss out!

by freakycoleada on 7/27/09Magic Stick - DetroitThe toadies show was amazing. The venue was small so you could see the band, they sounded great, and the energy was high. The crowd wasn't rough in a watch your back the whole show sort of way. Even if you didn't know many songs there were places to sit, play pool, or hang out at the bar. The first band (the willowz) was mellow and seemed to hit home for the hippie crowd. They played a lot of old favorites along with a few new songs. Overall i had a great time.

by randomhero65 on 7/21/09Black Cat - WashingtonI would love to compliment the entire aura the show had. All three bands fit well together, and the venue was perfect. I am a huge fan of the 930 club, and this was the first time I made it to the Black Cat. I enjoyed the closeness of everything!

by PhoebePaige on 7/19/09Wasted Space at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las VegasI haven't really heard Toadies before and when my hubby saw that they were performing at Wasted Space, he started bugging out and made me hear their songs....I liked the way they sounded and he really wanted to see the show, so I bought tickets and went to see them. It was our first time inside the Wasted Space and we were both very surprised to see that it was a very intimate venue.... The Willows performed the opening set and they were not bad at all. They rocked out and warmed up the audience....When Toadies went on, they just upped the energy of the crowd even more! They were awesome musicians! Very, very talented and they interacted with the crowd so well.... This is my second rock show here in the US....and I would just like to say they were amazing!!!

by USMCNOVA on 7/18/09House of Blues San Diego - San DiegoThe staff at the venue were friendly, parking was close by and resonably priced. Food and drinks were good at the House of Blues. The opening acts were entertaining, but the highlight was definitely the Toadies. The put on a great show, and even stuck around afterwards at the merchandise table to meet the fans and sign aoutographs.

by Shook2 on 7/17/09House of Blues San Diego - San DiegoAmazing show. This band knows how to please a crowd by playing the favorites, rocking out on stage drinking beer, and staying to meet the fans afterward for pictures and autographs. There was even a mosh pit in House of Blues! Rad show.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Toadies at the Stick...Amazing!
by Siddahleigh on 7/15/09Magic Stick - DetroitI've seen The Toadies at the Majestic twice before, but had never been to the Magic Stick. It's a super tiny venue, but absolutely perfect for this band. It was a small show, totally intimate, and the band's energy just pulsed through the place. I've never had more fun at a show! The Toadies, as always, put on an amazing show and hung around after to have some drinks with the lingering fans.
