    A Must See Experience

by Debbie on 4/5/22Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

The entire performance was marvelous! The sets were simple but effective. The actors were so wonderful. Molly who played Scout was a gem. I was so pleasantly surprised to see so many young people in the audience. Harper Lee’s book is a required reading at many High Schools. My granddaughter just loved it! Kudos to the entire cast!!

    Exceptional Evening

by CAS on 4/4/22Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

I’ve always wanted to take my two granddaughters to see To Kill a Mockingbird though their enthusiasm did not match mine. This was their Christmas gift so they could not refuse. Well, they were both impressed. The 13 year old had never seen Sheas Theater and she was quite impressed with its grandeur. The 19 year old was enthralled with the story and acting. She had never read the book. I was impressed with the sold out crowd. Then there was Richard Thomas who is the only actor who could believably take on the role of Atticus, other than Gregory Peck. It was an evening to remember. The play ran a bit long; the ending seemed to drag. But it was a magical experience and an event to cross off my bucket list. Thank you Sheas!

    Disturbingly Reflective of America 2022

by Frankiesym on 4/4/22Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

Amazing actors their performances were excellent however the content was disturbing. America is still racially divided. Even though we try to see the good in each other it takes courage to acknowledge the evil that continues to resurface

    Phenomenal

by MDF on 4/3/22Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

The touring show was Phenomenal! I saw the opening show for the entire tour in Buffalo, and loved it so much I bought tickets to go another night as well! “TKAM” is my favorite book, and I was absolutely NOT disappointed in this adaptation. Using the children as sporadic narrators rather than having the entire play done as dialogue was such a great idea. Dialogue is great, but usually books have much more description that is pertinent to the story, than just the words that are spoken. Additionally, I loved that a deaf actor was utilized and with the background narration, the sign language interpreting flowed nicely right into it. To recap…PHENOMENAL SHOW

by Bob on 4/2/22Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

Great acting. Some of the actors were difficult to understand due to sound system. Set was ingenious and was set up and changed with little commotion. Of course the story line is great. Entertaining evening out.

    Too long

by j. p. on 4/2/22Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

Nearly 3 hours from curtain up to lights out. The set designs were excellent. Acting was very good. We had a nice time. It was fun to see Richard Thomas. He’s not Gregory Peck but who is? Several of the actors were excellent. But I was in pain with about an hour to go.

The show was amazing. However not getting the correct seats is a little aggravating and the surcharges on the tickets is a bit ridiculous .Otherwise it was great
