TLC in Concert

Bucking a festival trend that reached its apex with Tupac's digitized 2012 appearance at Coachella, TLC will not be using a hologram of late member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes on their 2014 tour dates. Instead, T-Boz and Chilli hold it down as a duo, tastefully honoring Left Eye with passionate renditions of their biggest hits. Performing in 2013 in celebration of their 20th anniversary, TLC reminded fans just why they remain the top-selling American girl group of all time.

Combining R&B, hip hop, and soul, TLC rose to international superstardom in the '90s with a string of multi-platinum albums and No. 1 singles. Their 1992 debut Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip spawned several hits, but it was 1994 sophomore album CrazySexyCool that really put them on the map. Boasting two international No. 1's with "Creep" and "Waterfalls," CrazySexyCool became the first diamond-certified album by a female group, earning them two Grammy wins out of four nominations. Their run continued with 1999's FanMail, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and contained the era-defining classic "No Scrubs," winner of Best R&B song at the 2000 Grammys. In the wake of the death of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes in 2002, T-Boz and Chilli have carried on TLC's legacy, celebrating 20 years of hits in 2013 with a compilation and tour.

Music icons Nelly, TLC, and Flo Rida announced they are hitting the road together for an epic tour across North America. The Billboard chart-topping hitmakers join forces to bring a show like no other to outdoor amphitheater stages all summer long in 2019. Fans can expect an incredible, non-stop party with each artist delivering hit after hit all night long.

Good artist, long wait between sets

    by Beth on 7/10/23

The artists were great, music and vibes to match. Enjoyed the experience but waiting 50-55 minutes between each performance was a lot. Longest I’ve had to wait. Overall was nice and the fans running really helped with the heat

    Great Performance

    by BoogieDown BX on 7/10/23

The performance was awesome and worth the price for admission. The venue sux in the summer. The misters were only working in the front section where they paid more. I guess they are waiting for someone to pass out then sue them before turning on mister for the rest of the seats.

    by Grace on 7/10/23

Sean Kingston's performance was lame in my own personal opinion. En Vogue showed that after 33 years, they've still got it!! TLC was not on that stage long enough though!! I didn't want it to end and I wanted more, more, MORE from them!! Shaggy was quite risqué, but put on a good show and was funny too! Overall, this Concert was amazing, but it was ALSO SO HOT!! Why do we even have Amphitheaters down in Phoenix anyway?? Good grief, Charlie Brown! Merchandise is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE & SO ARE DRINKS. It's robbery... don't agree with that, but LOVE TLC!!! #legends #tlcforever

constant people walking by in front of you

    by Adrian S. on 7/10/23

The concert itself was great. Yet not knowing exactly where our seats were to the entrance and walkway between lower level to upper level. It was hard to enjoy the overall experience of the concert. For the full 4 hours of the concert there was constant traffic of people cutting into your view. That was the only downfall to the night.

Had the time of my life!

    by Sary007 on 7/10/23

I'm a huge TLC fan so this was amazing to see them! Second time coming to the venue, so I really enjoyed myself. Easy to come in and out. I think the venue is well organized. Really good sound, friendly staff, and good vibe!

    TLC concert with Shaggy

by Do not have one on 7/10/23

It was ok. I was disappointed that the girls did not put Left eye up on the big screen. Chili was amazing. It was good to see them because I didn't get to in the 80's

    Concert

    by Melanie on 7/10/23

So it was pretty hot over 100. I felt the artist were decent which is why it’s a 3 star but the management of who ever picked the venue and organized the artist did a horrible job. First Off seam kingdom came on exactly at 7:00 am when parking was a mess we came at 7:10ish and he was over he must have sang only two songs which is disappointing. They had long 20-30 mins gaps between each artists. I have been to over 100 concerts working for radio stations and being a music enthusiast and I never had experienced such a long wait inbetween artists at a concert similar to this. They could have had Sean K come on later and had 5-10 minutes inbetween sets. Lastly They had Sean k, envogue then TLC and Shaggy go in that order. I heard so many ppl say what the heck why did tlc not go last as a closer. They had a great performance and shaggy was dry humping the air the whole time and promoting future events and talking more then performing. A LOt of ppl left after tlc and that could have been avoided. It def seemed like It could have been managed better. Ans it was over 100 and we were outside which doesn’t make sense in arizona every artist was complaining about the heat. The sercurity guards were horrible they kept asking to see our tickets every single time we would get water to drink or use the bathroom one worker demanded my husband show her a code when another guard didn’t require it but our seat tickets. Plus another guard in 200 ff was letting everyone use the bathroom through the front gate he was blocking but us. It was a personal thing I feel maybe race or gender idk but be left everyone through but me and said I had to walk around far but let every single other person go which is crazy . I will probably never go to another concert by live nation again but I did enjoy tlc but this was the worse management and organization of a concert in my life.

    Good Experience

    by Susie on 7/10/23

Sean, En Vogue, and Shaggy were fire!. But TLC could of sang more of their hits. We live in AZ and maybe you could say we are used to the heat. Still we were hot and were out their during the whole show sweating, they could have endured it a bit more.

    Thank Goodness for En Vogue

    by kmusic on 7/10/23

I have seen TLC a few years ago in the Suns Arena and they were great. I was really disappointed with the fact that they only sang 5 songs. I thought they were going to be the main act. But that was Shaggy - which I left after two songs. I like Shaggy's music, but I don't have to see an old pervert on stage. Thank goodness for En Vogue. They were the group that brought it, sang tons of songs, and I wasn't even there to see them. Sean Kingston sang 5 words on top of a track - very disappointing.

    Upgrades

    by Miss J on 7/10/23

The summer heat in AZ made this show a difficult one to sit through. They were super kind to upgrade some of the lawn tickets to seats so we could sit in some shade. Was really grateful for that! Shaggy had some of the best stage presence of any performer I’ve ever seen. Was really grateful to be there

    Waiting 20-25 between sets

    by Brittany on 7/10/23

Overall, it was a good concert. In between sets it would of been nice to have music playing for the 20-25 minutes to keep the hype and energy up.

    by bancory on 7/6/23

Entirely too hot and with water selling for a CRAZY price, fans not moving at good speeds...I left before the third act. Personally, it was just inconvenience and uncomfortable!

    AMAZINGGGGGG!

    by WritingHands on 7/4/23

I got to see Sean Kingston, En Vogue, and TLC. Each did a fabulous job performing! TLC was SPECTACULAR! Even though, TBoz had to danced barefoot because someone dropped something on her foot, it did NOT takeaway from the show! If anything, it made it feel personal bc she kept it real with us as her audience. The dancing, singing, and music were all top tier.
