The show in London was the best musical that we had ever seen and this one is a close #2. In London, the concert part at the end was longer and “ grittier” than the one here. That in my mind was the deciding factor.

It was a strong cast if you can go several actors deep and still get a great performance out of the "understudies". Still singing the music.

The show starts with young Tina, with a church voice, and all the possibilities, then brings in the years with a self-centered, abusive, drug-addict, but ends with the blossoming of a Super-Star. Even for those that knew about her abuse, while well acted, it was hard to watch as evidenced the many gasps from our audience. There are many, many hits worked into the show, and the performances by the cast were some of the best we've seen this year. Like fireworks on the 4th, the show works up to its OVER THE TOP finale... do not leave one second early!!!
