She made her own rules--defying the world's notions of race, age and gender. And it took blood, sweat, tears and triumphs to reach the top. A sold-out, smash hit in London, this is Tina's story, her way--brought to the stage by the Tony Award-nominated director, Phyllida Lloyd, and the history-making, Olivier Award-winning playwright of The Mountaintop, Katori Hall.

    Good, but far from great

    We really enjoy the Broadway shows that cover the development and rise of music superstars. Compared to the likes of Jersey Boys, Ain’t too proud, and Beautiful, Tina was weak. While enjoyable, I had much higher expectations for Tina than it delivered.

    It was fun. I enjoyed most of it. There was something about the lead character that I felt could have been better, but I'm not sure what it is, other than it had to do with her voice I think. Not a bad voice, just something I didn't love.

    Show was good. Lead had strong voice and talented but Tina had a unique style/voice…hard to replicate. The worst part is the venue. The Fox PAC (Appleton) lacks acoustic quality and ambience of the Weidner Center (Green Bay).

    This was by far one the best shows I have ever seen. I was so emotionally attached to the characters and the story line. I actually cried twice during the performance. Outstanding!!!.
