I saw this show lost night in Des Moines and when I tell you the musical was just an all around amazing š experience. It was raw, edgy, funny, sad, high energy, I can not say enough good things about how great of a job this entire cast did last night. Des Moines was so very lucky to experience this type of a musical here in our small city. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Simply the best yall!
Show was enjoyable but the singer playing Tina had a voice issue. Maybe a bad cold? Her throat sounded swollen and she did not sound like Tina.
Could be a great show with the family Iād some unnecessary explicit scenes are removed
I had been hearing great things from friends about āTINA: The Tina Turner Musicalā and it peeked my interest. On a whim, I bought second row, exact center, pit seats to see the show before it left Minneapolis. Once the curtain rose, I was immediately immersed in the life story of Anna Mae (Tina Turner), and road an emotional musical roller coaster. The miniature concert at the end wrapped a beautiful bow on this production. When I say this, I mean it: RUN, donāt walk to see āTINA: The Tina Turner Musicalā at your theatre before it leaves! There is so much talent in this cast that it leaves you wanting more!!
It was an amazing experience! The cast, the vocals, the choreography, the dancers - it was all truly amazing and a wonderfully done short story version of Tina's life. Hope to see it again.
An emotional roller-coaster!! This show gave me all the feels! I was moved to both tears of sorrow and complete joy! An absolute must see!!
I had an opportunity to see this play on a last minute decision. We got seats in the 3rd to last row of the venue. Regardless the show was a 5 outta 5 stars. The music catalog was mostly unknown to myself but the energy and enthusiasm of the cast brought me right up to speed. The actor that protrayed Tina during that matinee performance was outstanding and after the show we learned that it was her debut show. I cant wait to see this again as the show is an absolute hit.
The musical was very enjoyable due to the talented performers. I liked the emphasis that was chosen to tell the story of Tina's very long life. My girlfriend and I are glad we attended, it met my expectations. The only huge comment I would make is that it would have gone from enjoyable to GREAT if they had waited to find the actress who could play Tina - who had it all! The understudy was VERY good, but didn't have the spark of Tina - and that is what jumps out of me when I watch Tina. I was very happy I went, and enjoyed the experience.
One of the best show Iāve seen in years! I felt like I was watching the movie all over again. The cast were amazing. I saw the show twice and Iām glad I did each time I picked up something new. Great work everyone.
