TINA, The Tina Turner Musical was a great show with great performances, and humor added to the Musical. The women who played Tina Turner were outstanding singers. I love the mini concert that Tina gave after the show and they had the audience involved. Great Show with Great Performances.šŸ‘šŸ¾šŸ‘šŸ¾šŸ‘šŸ¾šŸ‘šŸ¾ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

    Astonishing Performance!

by Makayla on 3/19/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

Astounding performances by Garrett Turner who played Ike Turner and Zurin Villanueva who played Tina! Both actors are extremely talented. I highly recommend viewing the musical at a city near you. You wonā€™t be disappointed! If I could give it 100 stars, I would!

    3.5

by PB on 3/19/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

One might forget how many challenges Tina Turner faced in her early years. The first act does an amazing job of reminding and/or educating you about the racism, domestic abuse, addiction and other life experiences Tina survived! It can be difficult for some to observe and one might feel this part of the show was a bit long. The stage looked fantastic as the performers transitioned through the scenes. Costuming spot on! The ensemble cast did a great job! Strong performances by the lead characters made for a enjoyable, worthwhile experience. The young Tina was incredible! At times following the dialogue between the adults was tricking due to voice intonation, especially of the adult Tina. I would have to say the the singing was incredibleā€”pitch, range and volume spot on!! Yet again some of the attempt to imitate Tinaā€™s voice lead to such strong voice intonations it left one wanting more articulation of lyrics and a more relaxed singer. As a result I feel compelled to rate this a good experience, not an excellent one. PB

Wake me up before the end of the show

by Mary on 3/19/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

The ending was amazing, the rest a bit slow. I understand that this is Tinaā€™s life fe story, and yet since there is no other set than the digital photo background for the entire musical until the end the musical felt flat. Easily it could have been you tragic life moment, then a fantastic concert with stage props, then again a tragic life moment followed by another concert with stage props to bring in the audience. Instead even with amazing singing the musical did NOT capture the audience until the end. A multi hour production and the last ten minutes plus the encore are by far the best part! That was very disappointing.

    Keeps Building! Brilliant!!

by Dick Tracy on 3/18/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

Tina will surprise, but not disappoint. Structured loosely on Tinaā€™s life story, the musical numbers are wonderfully woven. The last 20 minutes are breathtaking.

Tough journey with an awesome end

by Colleen on 3/18/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

If you know the Tina Turner story and arenā€™t afraid of what youā€™ll seeā€¦ itā€™s amazing. If you donā€™t: triggers for domestic violence, and extreme racism. The story is so much of one of survival. And there is essentially a mini concert at the end.

    RIVETING FOR START TO ENDING!

by Love Live Performances on 3/18/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

This show was excellent! The storyline was great to fit in a lifetime of struggle in two hours. Music was fantastic along with choreography. The actors seem to mesh perfectly. We also got a bonus since this was the 200th performance.

Fun show, but not the real Tina.

by JK on 3/18/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

My husband and I have been lucky. We saw the real Tina in concert years ago. Wow! Although the lead did an admirable job at being "Tina," she just simply wasn't. It's not a complaint really, it just "is." That said the show was fun and uplifting. All of the other cast members were great, but they didn't have to try to be a super-hero super-star.

    Tina

by Debbie S on 3/18/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

Amazing energy! Great performances from all the cast. A sad but inspirational story. I like the way Tina's childhood pregnancy was portrayed.

    Superb performance

    by ICourtney on 1/23/23

I watched this new musical last night..simply fantastic, the performance on the stage is explosive, super energetic, noteworthy, fun. I am looking for tickets again so i can go again..some precious moments well captured, theatregoers were totally engaged, characters were well written, the young Tina had a voice much bigger than herself ..close your eyes and it was hard to tell , it wasnt Tina Turner herself singing.. an amazing show for a very deserving legendary star, so fantastically staged and performed..KUDOS
