Tim Minchin is a musician, comedian, actor, writer and director. In the U.S. he is known for his live concerts (Tim Minchin Vs the Heritage Orchestra on Netflix and Ready For This? On Showtime); for his role as rock star Atticus Fetch on Californication Season 6; as composer and lyricist of musicals Matilda (on Broadway and now on tour) and Groundhog Day (coming to Broadway in 2017); as composer-lyricist and director of upcoming DreamWorks Animation feature, Larrikins; and for various opinions he spouts in public.

He sings and talks rapidly and slurs much of what he says/sings… this, along with his Australian accent made it hard to hear much of the performance. I think he was good because the audience was laughing and clapping a lot.
Incredible musician! Unbelievably funny! Sooooo multi talented!!!! I traveled 2520 km and it was worth every penny!!!
After a 1 hour and 15 delay with no excuse offered the show started. It was the first time seeing Tim live and he delivered a great show!! I would have liked some new stuff but he has been busy with Matilda. I would pay to see him again in a heartbeat!!!
Minchin is undeniably brilliant, but (old) theater acoustics, old ears, rapidfire lyrics and mumbled asides meant my wife and I missed about half of the show - too bad
Tim is fantastic but the venue needs to police people recording the event with their cell phones better.
If you're a fan of Tim Minchin's -- and the crowd obviously was packed with us -- this was a fantastic, intimate show. A solid mix of his musical brilliance interspersed with a few comedic stories and monologues. I'm going to the next show he does in LA for sure -- hoping it's not years away!
We enjoyed seeing & hearing Tim Minchin's familiar songs & poems: "Prejudice," "Storm," etc. He did turn away from the audience toward the end of a line sometimes & if you did not already know the delivery, you might have had difficulty catching key words. Tim was angry with himself for messing up a beat poem & asked to restart it, but no biggie, the audience was with him. One fan even sent up a bottle of scotch. Clearly, there's plenty more poems to write & topics to skewer in song. We eagerly await new material while savoring favorites.
Tim Minchin was awesome! He played a great set and am still surprised he played Mitsubishi colt.
Tim is hilarious, and even when he's the only one on stage, he's just as captivating as he is with a full band. His banter is hilarious, and his songs are funny while also being genius. He ended the show with a performance of a song he's writing for the Groundhog Day musical, and it is absolutely beautiful. A small theater was the perfect setting for this show. I hope to see Tim Minchin perform again in the future.
Tim Minchin: awesomely creative and unique, great musician, brilliant songwriter. Funny and wise. A fabulous evening.
The language is certainly not for the faint hearted, but as an atheist myself I loved all the digs at religious stupidity. My wife and two boys (15 and 17) also thought it was a great night out.
If you don't mind crude, up front comedy, Tim Minchin will crack you up.
I saw him at the Reason Rally a few weeks ago and was delighted he was going to be in San Diego half mile from my hotel during a conference I would be at. Unbelievable! His performance always makes me laugh, cry, and his songs have been in my head for the last week. How can one guy be so talented and not be a household name?! Awesome. Incredible. Phenomenal. It's freaking Tim Minchin! All my friends are jealous
If you've watched anything he's done on you-tube, you know what your getting into; an intelligent, irreverent, comedy show that is as poignant as it is cathartic. In person, he offers a camaraderie with the audience that just makes you want to hug him. So very worth the hour drive. WE LOVE TIM!
He would be funny as hell...if hell actually existed! Tim Minchin is one of the most entertaining comedians to come around in a while. I enjoyed every second of it....you will too!
Absolutely the most fun performance I have seen. Although not sold out like the LA shows, the audience made up for it with their enthusiasm. Most of the pieces performed were well known but the energy he puts into them made them seem fresh and even funnier. The new material was an even greater treat. Just be sure to know what type of performance you are signing up for. A man and, I presume, his daughter about 10 years old left about a third of the way through. The F** word is a predominant part of his delivery. As they say, not appropriate for all ages.
Amazing show, I would recommend anyone saw Tim in person.
Amazing combination of stand-up, sit down, musical and performance comedy. 90 minutes flew by. So good, so smart, so much energy. Enjoy!
Tim Minchin is one of the best shows there is. Highly recommended.
