    by pyewacket007 on 6/6/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I was expecting an amazing show. The show surpassed my expectations. Tim was so on the whole night and was just phenomenal. The man is a talented comedian and accomplished pianist. Met him after the show and would just like to say that he is a truly nice person. He was so personable and seemed to really appreciate his fans.

    Tim Minchin

by JustinXavier on 6/6/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

This show was amazing! If Tim ever comes around again I will be sure to buy tickets again. The seating was a little cramped but overall I was pretty comfortable. If you can you really must see his show, he will have you laughing non- stop!

    Tim Minchin is rockin' hilarious!

by ccjburton on 6/6/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Tim Minchin's show is great for anyone who enjoys music and comedy. If you're sensitive about your religious beliefs, the show is definitely not for you. But if you have an open mind and can laugh about your beliefs (whatever they may be), then you'll really enjoy this. He is very thoughtful in with his comedy, sometimes the underlying joke it subtle, but it's always good.

    Tim Minchin is simply brilliant

by sinnops on 6/6/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Tim is a brilliant, witty, intelligent and thoughtful comedian/musician and really hits the nail on the head in topics formed around critical thinking and skepticism. He was better than i had expected, and now i love him even more. Cant wait to see him again!

    Great performance, crowd was annoying.

by SaraXed on 6/6/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I love Tim Minchin and was very excited to see him live! I thought he was great, but the crowd there ruined it a bit for me. Maybe a symptom of the venue (the tables in the orchestra seating made it feel more like a comedy club and people were served many drinks before and during intermission), but it was frustrating having ten people scream comments every time Minchin tried to set up a joke. Plus, why are you watching him live, if you're just there to hear yourself sing the lyrics. Still, I thought the performance itself was great. if I hadn't known the songs ahead of time I likely would have enjoyed it just as much.

    great performance

    by fan31415 on 6/6/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I am newly introduced to Tim by my brother-in-law but I enjoyed the performance very much. The venue - not so much - crowded, like in a tourist class airplane.

    Tim Minchin delivers

by tjphoto on 6/6/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Tim Minchin delivered everything his fans expected in this wildly entertaining mix of music and comedy. While the Wilbur Theatre was full of self-selected Minchin fans who would probably have given him a standing ovation for simply standing there and reading from the yellow pages, he still gave them a dazzling performance. From the opening rendition of his classic “Rock n’ Roll Nerd” to his closing standard of “Darkside” he was charming and engaging. He provided his fans with a nice mix of their favorites and some new material to keep them engaged. While Minchin’s bawdy rationalistic humor might not be for everyone, it certainly was enjoyed by this audience. That combined with his wonderful piano playing made for a very enjoyable evening.

    Tim is the man

by KStimfan on 6/6/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Tim is an outstanding musician. He uses his cleverly crafted lyrics to entertain and explain his observations of life around him. Tim visits religion, politics, family, and society. He is the funniest lyricist I have ever listened to. This show is not for the conservative religious folk though. A great show.

Tim Minchin is a feat to behold.

by BoffoYux on 6/6/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I wasn't quite sure what to expect with Tim. I first heard about him from a friend who did a cover of 'Inflatable Me' in his show. Then I saw a few YouTube videos and him on Conan. He seemed like a powerful performer, but I didn't know how he'd hold up for a long concert. One trick pony? Literate Degenerate? Alice Cooper wannabe for the intelligentsia crowd? Happily, he was just an honest performer, who wanted to put on a show. He's way too smart for the room, but doesn't talk down to you. He loves to shock, but also has a point to WHY he's shocking you. Subtle manipulation of the soul is probably his best forte. Tim had just sold out that night, which surprised me. He's not very well known yet in the US. He seemed generally surprised so many people knew his material in the audience, and had trouble thinking of an encore that wasn't recognizable to the fans. It was a nice touch. I'd try and catch him again, but get better seats. The lower deck couldn't hear him well - the piano was plenty loud, but his vocals got lost when you were under the balcony.

    Hooked!

by Jungie on 6/6/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Outrageously brilliant!!! Hilarious but also thought-provoking. An amazing pianist/songwriter/lyricist/philosopher.... but the bottom line was WE'VE NEVER LAUGHED HARDER!

Tim Minchin is an excellent performer. Energetic, enthusiastic, interactive. Great show. He played most of my favorites, plus some new material that was excellent as well. I had a wonderful time, and so did everyone I went with.

Tim Minchin is my hero. Nuff said

by BecNoir on 6/6/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

This was by far the most amazing night i've ever had. Tim was and continues to be an amazing performer that tickles your senses with the fewest words. Two hours of him playing the piano is far better then anything you could ever offer to me. His songs are intelligent and witty but also deep and complex. He makes you think about your own thoughts for a change and will make you laugh at terrible things. He is honest with his opinions and doesn't hold anything back. I strongly recommend him to anyone who asks, however this is not a show to bring children to.

The secret needs to be let out

    by Buddy234 on 6/6/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I've seen him about 8 times. His piano playing is virtuoso. I'm shocked at how wonderful he is. I can't wait for him to have a B'Way show and sell out huge huge venues. He's a cross between a South Park musical and Eddie Izzard with a peppering of Carlin. Genius all the way around.

    great show

by purplepjs on 6/6/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Tim Minchin is sarcastic, irreverent and absoluty brilliant. He doesn't hold anything back and attacks all absurdities equally. Avoid the show if you are conserative, close-minded, or easily offended. Otherwise be prepared to laugh until you cry.
