About

Tim Allen on Tour

However busy he may be as one of comedy's biggest stars on screens big and small, Tim Allen stays true to his stand-up roots. Audiences for his live performances are just as eager to show their appreciation for his warm, wry and sometimes wild take on life in America, raising families and getting older.

Allen has honed his signature brand of observational comedy since he began earning laughs in clubs in the mid '70s. One of the most iconic performers to emerge from the Comedy Store in Los Angeles, he rose through the ranks in the '80s before finding fame on Home Improvement, his long-running ABC sitcom. His engaging and hilarious performances as Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story and hapless dad Scott Calvin in The Santa Clause led to two of Hollywood's most popular family-movie franchises. In 2011, he returned to television as the star of Last Man Standing, another hit sitcom that began its eighth season in 2020.

A series of live shows to promote his 2010 film Crazy on the Outside led to a renaissance for Allen's stand-up career and his first stand in Las Vegas since 1993. He continues to regularly perform in venues all over the US.

Who is Tim Allen?

A star at home on both screen and stage, Tim Allen has been a favorite of audiences ever since he broke out of the pack of future greats who found their voices at Los Angeles' iconic Comedy Store in the '80s.

Born in Colorado and raised in Michigan, Allen began his comedy career in clubs and on cable-access shows in the Detroit area in the mid '70s. After overcoming personal troubles and moving to Los Angeles, he soon became known for a sharp brand of observational humor that reflected his everyman perspective and was anything but politically correct. Allen found another means of showcasing his wry take on love, marriage and family life when his sitcom Home Improvement began its hugely successful run on ABC in 1991. His star rose higher with his performances in Toy Story and The Santa Clause, two big-screen family hits that spawned blockbuster franchises.

His other film credits include Christmas with the Kranks, Zoom, Crazy on the Outside and The Shaggy Dog. His two books Don't Stand Too Close to a Naked Man and I'm Not Really Here were bestsellers. In 2011, he returned to television to star in Last Man Standing, another long-running hit sitcom. Allen continues to perform live for audiences throughout the US.

  • Tim Allen, never stopped laughing!

by PennyHarvick on 6/7/17Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Both Tim Allen as well as the opening act were hysterical! Don't look for politically correct or clean humor though. We loved it, we would definitely see him again

The opening act was very funny. I think the first name was Landon. I would see him again. Tim Allen was very funny with his stories. It seemed everyone related to his childhood stories as there was lots of laughter and clapping. His observations on political correctness and Twitter were spot on and funny. Only downside, I was not prepared for the constant swearing.

Tim is as funny now as he was years ago. Whether you enjoy his TV shows, movies, or his stand-up comedy, he proved that he still has it. Funny guy, well worth the money.

We were disappointed. We had seen him before in Vegas and he was very good. This time he couldn't quit using Four Letter Words. Kind of interfered with the comedy and his story telling and turned me off.

by DebbyandBruce on 6/6/17Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Had a great evening watching Tim Allen do stand-up at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, AZ. What was even better was the young comic who opened for him. He was absolutely hysterical!! Unfortunately I can't remember his name and can't seem to find out who it was. All in all a great night.

  • Tim Allen... still has it!

    by Flower124 on 6/6/17Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

We totally enjoyed the show. Tim Allen made us laugh the entire time. Definitely would see him again! Be prepared if you go... he uses the F word alot! Probably more than he needed to! His stories alone will made us laugh!

  • Great night with Tim Allen

by JimTempe on 6/6/17Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 4 out of 5

The night started with stand up by Lowell Sanders, who is a great comedian. A full show by Lowell Sanders would be a wonderful way to spend an evening. Tim Allen came on stage after a brief video montage of his prior television shows and movies. Tim Allen's show, and stories about growing up, is a stark contrast to his family-friendly television and movie characters. His story about the bb gun was hilarious, and the way he weaves in a number of side stories along the way was well done. I would give 5 stars if the show was a little longer. All in all, between Lowell Sanders and Tim Allen, it was a laugh-filled evening.

  • Horrible

  • Tim Allen never disappoints

by HappyMominPhoenix on 6/6/17Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Tim;s stand up routine is a must see! My husband and I literally laughed the whole time he was on stage! What makes him so funny is he talks about "real" life situations that are so funny and he speaks the truth about our whole today! He was a breath of fresh air! Loved, loved, loved every moment! Will definitely see him again and again!

  • Tim Allen was great

We had a great time at his show. Loved his "life" comedy situations. Even his opening act had us rolling on the floor. The whole theater appeared to be enjoying the show.

  • Love Tim Allen

    by diane012 on 6/6/17Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Tim Allen was great, although he only performed for a little over an hour, thought it could be longer considering what you pay for tickets. The opening comedian was also great.
