About

Three 6 Mafia are a cultural force to be reckoned with -- in addition to being cult rap stars, they taught the world to crunk, immortalized cough syrup on “Sippin’ On Some Syrup,” and won an Oscar for showing us that “It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp.” They also put their hometown of Memphis on the hip-hop map – and now it looks like they may be posed for a comeback. A Three 6 Mafia concert is an intense, nasty good time, with the band’s cult following buying up tickets and packing houses, ready to slug sizzup and bump 'n grind to all the band’s classic hits, as well as newer material, like "Lolli Lolli (Pop That Body)" and "Feel It." It’s a fanbase the band has built up as one of the longest-running acts in hip-hop.

Back in 1995, the Mafia came out of nowhere with "Mystic Stylez," a bloody, psychedelic album with eerie tones, harsh beats and nasty subject matter that's still at the front of their live shows to this day. It got the band dubbed ‘horrorcore rap’ and helped pave the way for the whole Dirty South Explosion. After a string of underground hits, like “Tear da Club Up ’97,” they started gaining popularity. A couple platinum albums later, along with the mainstream hit, “Stay Fly,” the Mafia rocked the world with an explosive performance and a Best Song win at the 2006 Oscars for “It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp” from "Hustle & Flow." Since then, the group has experienced some lineup changes, and Juicy J has gone on to solo success alongside Lex Luger and Wiz Khalifa. With all members but J playing an upcoming tour under the new name Da Mafia 6iX, and J himself saying he’s up for a full-band reunion, it looks like new Three 6 Mafia hits might well be on their way.

Not as good as i expected.

by Juicy on 4/23/22Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion - Portsmouth

I been listening to 3 six since the 90's as a teen so when i saw they were gonna be playing after getting back together i jumped at the chance. It just wasnt as i expected. First portsmouth pavilian during the cold season should have been a definite no. 48 degree weather is not enjoyable. I kinda get it since it was 4/20 and it was assumed everyone was gonna smoke so it had to be outside so it couldnt be helped. Next i was expecting more then just juicy J and dj paul. Just because 2 members are dead cruchy black and gangsta boo is still alive. And the one thing that really was the nail in the coffin was i went to see them and all they did was short 2 min. Intros of all their best songs. i asumme to let kevin gates play. I didnt care for kevin gates. Not even in the same genre in my opinion. I also paid 240 dollars to be up in front (3rd row)and as soon as the music started playing all the broke ass people who paid the cheapest ticket went up in front. What the hell was security for? What the hell did i pay that much for if i could just walk up to the front after i bought lawn tickets? I dont know where the disconnect was at but whoever reads this and has the power to fix shit, please do it. First and last time. I could have relived good memories in my room with a good blunt and spotify in comfort for free. Oh well.

by Benjamin. on 3/9/20Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - Denver

To be honest... I wasn't expecting much. But danggg these dudes killed it. Juicy J and DJ Paul absolutely destroyed this show. 1 hour solid, no breaks, no commentary, just hit after hit. All in all, 5 stars!

    A Crunk Dream Come True

by The Kultural Khamelion on 10/16/19Landers Center - Southaven

I am a huge Three Six Mafia fan. I would say I am a super fan. I know almost everything there is to know about them When I heard that there was going to be a reunion concert I marked it on my calendar. I flew from Richmond, VA for this. Dj Paul, Juicy J, Chrunchy Black, Gangsta Boo, La Chat, Project Pat and Lil Whyte all there. Oh my goodness. Especially with Juicy J being there That was history in the making right there. I wish Frayser boy could have been there then it would have been complete. I was a part of the Meet and Greet that experience was cool depending on the act Meet and Greets vary. I did a Meet and Greet with DJ Paul and Da Mafia 6ix back in 2014 and it was an intimate occasion. I wasn't expecting that here because there had to be at least 50 to 75 Meet and greets from my estimation. The Meet and greet cut into the concert I missed most of the Ying Yang Twinz performance but I was there to meet DJ Paul and Juicy J whom I have met before on different occasions. I liked the merch that I received from the VIP package. The staff was very nice and friendly as well. Juicy J and DJ Paul were very nice and personable especially Paul. The concert itself had a lot of energy my only issue is with the triangle/diamond stage the artists had to move around to face the crowd so at times the artist's backs were to me. if it we a traditional stage with a set back drop then everyone could see the artists at all times. This was a homecoming to Memphis so I witnessed history. Overall I had the time of my life and I count it as one of the best concerts that I have been to and I have been to quite a few. Thank you to everyone behind the scenes who made it possible Shout out to Juicy J's cousin Ray who help get the mafia back together. I hope there is a proper tour so I can se you all again.

    Awesome time!!

by MsD on 10/15/19Landers Center - Southaven

I really enjoyed the show even though DMX didn't show up, but the Ying Yang Twins made up for it. It was crunk and best of all no problems. I was so excited to see Three 6 Mafia Reunion, they were playing my jams, and my heart Juicy J came out in that fur baby. Can't forget about Bone Thugs they did their thang too, oohhh so many memories!! 🥰
