About

Ja Rule's long and successful career started in 1999 with Venni Vetti Vecci, which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 200 list and sold more than 184,000 copies in the first few months on the market. Despite being a well-known veteran in the hip- hop world, Ja Rule still loves to tour. The artist does gigs at large concert halls as well as smaller but popular venues such as the House of Blues in New Orleans. Tickets to any concert are some of the hottest around not matter what town he appears in. The rapper knows what it takes to keep his fans hopping and blends in music at these concerts from albums that date back all the way to his humble beginnings. The man's deep base voice keeps the walls rattling at whatever venue he plays; fans always get the most out of his shows.

Ja Rule has been in the music industry long enough to put out plenty of studio albums such as Vecci, Pain Is Love from 2001 and R.U.L.E. in 2004. The artist has also worked hard to get his particular sound out with an independent album, Mirror, that was released in 2009. The artist's most recent album, Pain Is Love 2, was released in 2012 as a follow-up to the original Pain Is Love. The follow-up album was the first studio album the rapper has released in eight years signaled a full-scale comeback. In 2013, the artist continued that comeback with a tour that crisscrossed the country, staging concerts on both coasts.

    Will not be back

by Chan on 2/21/24JAMES BROWN ARENA - Augusta

The three stars are for the artists alone, not the venue or concert itself. The venue was run down. It was hard to find your seats due to the improper or nonexistent labeling of seats and rows. There were multiple sound issues. The drinks were over priced for how small they were. There were no employees to help us find our seats. The steps to walk to your seats were not lit and they didn't have proper markings on them so you could see each step.

    Ja'Rule & Ashanti

by Massey's On The Move on 2/21/24JAMES BROWN ARENA - Augusta

The concert itself was amazing!!!!! Getting my tickets off ticket master was a huge headache. My husband was not able to go so he email the link to me and I saw the tickets before Ieaving home and when I got there it was like I couldn"t find them at all then it took the ladies at the ticket office another 45mins to print my actual tickets. There's gotta be a better way!!! This is the first time this has happened though. it was just a little frustrating

    Low Budget Production

by Staystrong on 2/20/24JAMES BROWN ARENA - Augusta

Show was supposed to start at 8pm but JaRules hype man did not grace the stage until 9:40pm. All doors to Concert area&seats were Blocked Closed until 8pm, even though outside venue doors opened at 7pm. We were told the Promoter did Not want anyone to enter. Around 9:20 pm we saw JaRules band walk on stage with book bags & just starting to set up their equipment. After Concert actually started the music & sound system was so out of sync or Off that JaRule stopped his performance mid-song at least twice. Ashanti is rumored to be pregnant & may explain the Grey Long sweatshirt with sequins she wore entire show. JaRule also wore same outfit entire show, except to take off shirt last few songs. Concessions were Normal high prices, except the Pretzel was as hard as a Brick & couldn't be eaten. We sat 1st row in lower section & caked up dust was all over the rails. Not sure what the problem was with this Concert &/or who should be blamed for almost 2 hour late start & standing inside for almost an hour after outside doors opened. If JaRule & Ashanti did Not want to perform in Augusta, they should Not have came. It was obvious when then arrived after 9pm they were trying to fit Augusta in the tour plan. We left around 1030pm when the last song ,after Encore hype, was being sung. So basically a 1 hour Concert with 2 artists. $400 for this performance was definitely Not worth the money. I would have felt better using the cheaper tickets sold on GrubHub.

    Too much light and smoke.

by Kay on 2/20/24JAMES BROWN ARENA - Augusta

Me and my Husband was not sitting where we was aposed to be. We was aposed to be in lower level. But we was in higher level and that was our first times there. It was hard to see Ja-Rule and Ashanti faces too many bright lights and smoke. Then no one telling u where to exactly to sit.

    Glad I Went

by BrandiH on 2/20/24JAMES BROWN ARENA - Augusta

I love Ja Rule and Ashanti! I was disappointed they only played 1 hour and the opening act was the winner of the local high school talent show. Still glad I went, but seemed like a lot of wasted time waiting to get in, opening act and dj before show actually started.

    Disappointed

by Quita on 2/20/24JAMES BROWN ARENA - Augusta

The concert started 1.5 hours late. And lasted about 1 hour 15 minutes. We sat around for over an hour and a half while the dj stalled and local performers came on stage. We watched as their steam set up the stage. The sound check was also off. Ashanti and JaRule are both amazing artists so that's not the problem. However the experience, was not a great one.

    Ja'Rule and Ashanti in Augusta

by Bill on 2/20/24JAMES BROWN ARENA - Augusta

Me and my wife were expecting a much better performance than what we saw. The main issue is everyone had to wait almost an hour to be allowed into the arena to sit down. Doors opened at 7pm, but the inside doors were blocked. Concert was set to start at 8pm, but all we heard was the DJ's playing 90's music for more than an hour, at one point replaying the same songs. The sound system was horrible, the opening act was hard to understand what they were singing and rapping. When the main act finally started, Ja'Rules microphone was horrible hard to understand. They were barely on an hour also. We expected better.
