About

THIRD DAY IN CONCERT:

With over ten albums of convicted, uplifting Christian rock under their belts, Dove Award-winners Third Day are one of the genre's most beloved acts.  Known for frontman Mac Powell’s distinctive voice, the band consistently inspires fans with their spirit-filled live concerts. With the announcement that they would be joining the  2014 Rock and Worship Roadshow tour, fans are chomping at the bit to see them live along fellow Christian rock legends Skillet and a host of special guests.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“They are consistently great, sound incredible live, keep the set lists fresh, and connect with the audience.”

“Every band member is so talented, but it's their lead singer, Mac, who makes the band the huge Christian rock hit that it is. His voice has matured to the point that his singing seems effortless and his tone really sets his voice apart among other Christian rock singers—or rock singers—for that matter.”

“Nothing like going to a concert and ending up at a worship service. These men do great work for the Lord.”

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Founded in Georgia in the early '90s by frontman Mac Powell, Christian rockers Third Day have sold over 10 million albums in the United States alone, making them one of the most successful contemporary Christian rock acts in the business. In addition to chart-topping spiritual songs like “Cry Out to Jesus,” “Call My Name,” and "Nothing At All," the band has received four Grammy Awards and 20 Dove Awards.

    Third Day at the Ryman!

by FBCFayetteville on 6/22/18Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

First trip ever to the Ryman Auditorium and 4th time I’ve seen Third Day. The history of the building was awesome as well as the acoustics. The venue was a tight packed house as Third Day played at least one song off every album. I love these guys! Best wishes to Mark Lee and Mac Powell as they tour with their new solo albums!

    Unbelievable!

    by ksellersc6 on 6/22/18Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

This was the first visit to the Ryman. The setting was just off of 5th avenue. The parking for the show is by far the easiest access to the venue that I have observed. Gates were secured to prohibit anyone without a ticket easy access. Inside, the auditorium opens up into a large radius seating, with balcony overlooking. Benches were church type wooden seating, which was comfortable. The stage is approximately 4' high which was large enough to accommodate the artist and the band. This was an amazing place due to the sound that is accommodated by the design of the Ryman. I attended the ATL show and the sound was amazingly much better in the Ryman. Third Day nailed it this time. I have heard this band 5 times and this is the best audio I have heard of the 5 venues. Mark Lee sounded the best I have heard him sound, With the intro to "Consuming Fire" kicking the show off for the main finale, to the most distinct baritone voice in music of Mac Powell. The upbeat music generated a pleasurable experience and was pleasing to the audience by the response of the ticket goers standing during most of the show. The Mother of Churches certainly made the right choice this time. Zac Williams brought the crowd to their feet with a worship evening that attenders should remember for a long time. The absence of drummer David Carr and Tai Anderson was in the minds of Third Day fans but Boone Daughdrill and Kyle Gibson filled their place respectfully. Jason Hoard and Trevor Morgan added guitar support to the "Doc" of "HolyThirdDay" respectfully with Trevor singing in with Mac on one song and backup vocals. Last and certainly not least was Scotty Wilbanks. Although he entertains me and I think of "bleaker" off of the Muppets, he has established his role and job on stage as a veteran member of Third Day. Hats off to the sound man on 06.19.18, this may be the best show I have attended and by far the most unforgettable. God Bless Zac Williams and Third Day. The children as well as me need more music like this. Sincerely, Keith Sellers

    Third Day Farewell was Amazing!

    by Sbatey4828 on 6/22/18Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

One of the best tours in the band's 23 year history. Even though new musicians on guitar, drums and bass, they played powerfully together. Mac Powell's voice alone would be enough to make this a night to remember forever. Love these guys and hate to see them go.

Third Day's music speaks to the soul!

    by CityGirl13 on 6/22/18Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Third Day put on an amazing show! I am so sad to see these guys retiring the band but am excited of their next solo adventure. They have an amazing ability to put music and lyrics together that not only excite, invigorate, it touches your soul! Mac's voice is so unique in the Christian industry that immediately you recognize the origins. Sad to see them leave but grateful for the journey! To see them in the Ryman was just icing on the cake.

    Farewell Third Day!!!! Awesome show!

by CyndiL on 6/22/18Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

The show was excellent. I only wish the stage was better viewed from all seats, unfortunately they are not, so be careful if this matters to you as to which seat selection you make.
