    Must see

by JC on 10/3/23Lincoln Theatre - Washington

The show was great! Sound quality was ok- could use some improvements, but overall we enjoyed ourselves.

    Could have been better

by Dee on 10/3/23Lincoln Theatre - Washington

My first time going to this show. Pros: orchestra was beautiful. Cons: I wish the horns would have played more and the songs were more up to date verses their original music which no one in the crowd knew. Wish they had more energy. Felt like watching local talents that opens up for the opening act.

    Great experience!

by Chuck on 10/3/23Lincoln Theatre - Washington

I enjoyed the show in DC. Great way to start off with Go Go! Both vocalists, the musicians and the DJ were all outstanding! Lively entertainment - I would definitely attend again.

I have mixed reviews on the show

by Rod on 10/3/23Lincoln Theatre - Washington

The orchestra is the best part of the show. The lady sings well, but the rapping of man and woman really masks the talented musicians. Their rapping had no range and their style was the same on all songs, and you couldn’t understand them per the sound. Sound was also a problem with feedback and sound levels. I think $35 is too expensive for this show.

    Illharmonic Orchestra

by Kim on 10/3/23Lincoln Theatre - Washington

The show was okay. The acoustics at The Lincoln Theatre were not the best. You could not understand what the singers were saying, which took away from the experience.

    A nice effort

by Raye on 10/3/23Lincoln Theatre - Washington

This event was just okay. I would have liked to hear more of the orchestra and less of the vocal accompaniment. The vocal accompaniments were average to be honest. The audio system was not working well either. The show ended early. Overall it was a nice effort but not what I expected at all.

A symphony of melodies dimmed by unnecessary rap

by Renee on 10/3/23Lincoln Theatre - Washington

The hip hop orchestra performance was an impressive mix of classical and classic hip hop melodies! However, I found the addition of the two hosts who rapped throughout the show, to be less aligned with my personal taste. I would have enjoyed the experience much more if the performance focused solely on the orchestra and DJ.

    Different Than Promoted

by KC on 10/3/23Lincoln Theatre - Washington

I loved seeing the musicians playing. It was such a delight to see classically trained musicians playing soulful music. Although, we left early because we did not anticipate the constant rapping over the music. I thought it would be mostly the musicians, which was disappointing and distracting.

    Musicians were Amazing..

    by Tuckercl34@verizon.net on 10/3/23Lincoln Theatre - Washington

Loved the performance but the sound quality st the venue could have been better. Where I sat people just talked the whole time so it was hard to really enjoy the music. Musicians were amazing though.

    Sound Issues

by Bird on 5/25/23Sandler Center For The Performing Arts - Virginia Beach

We was sitting about 4 rows back from the stage and the sound was weak. Don’t know if the sound man knew the sound was off but nothing was done. Thee Phantom was nice but needed better sound.

I've never attended an event like this before. The mash-ups were great, and the talent was evident. It was so cool and beautiful to watch! I loved everything about it.

    Amazing show!

by Kmj on 5/22/23Sandler Center For The Performing Arts - Virginia Beach

I throughly enjoyed the show and was pleasantly surprised to hear the mix of Beethoven and other classical pieces with hip hop! I have spread the word in my circle…When they come your way it’s a must do. The Phoenix and Thee Phantom are a powerful duo! Awesome experience!

    "False advertisement"

by M. P. on 5/22/23Sandler Center For The Performing Arts - Virginia Beach

Whenever I saw adverts for this show, it always featured the band/orchestra. That couldn't further from thw truth. Live instrumentation was the sole reason I wanted to see this particular show. What I got was some guy hocking a mixtape. Had he allowed the orchestra to perform more, say once he concluded his "song" it would've been 1000 times better, Missed opportunity to what could've been a pretty decent show.

    Disappointed

by Sunshyne on 5/22/23Sandler Center For The Performing Arts - Virginia Beach

The advertisement led me to believe I’d be hearing a complete orchestra performance of hip hop music. Instead I heard a dj that completely drowned out the orchestra and 2 amateur MCs. As the orchestra members appeared to be young people, I was especially excited to hear them perform. I heard next to nothing of their music. Would not recommend as is.
