Theater League Tickets

Fiddler on the Roof is one of my most favorite movies and was looking forward to seeing the play. There was certainly nothing spectacular about it. There are many local productions of Fiddler on the Roof but I decided to wait for this Broadway Production and I was clearly disappointed. Not sure if the troupe coming to Phoenix were the understudy but I found that it lacked depth, both in the the singing and the acting.. The acoustics were not very good as well and even though we had good seats, they were certainly not the very best for this particular show. I also found the orchestra to be fine, but especially the drumming to be a little of of context with the score (possibly a bit too excessive or lacked variation). I would certainly have much better expectations of a Broadway Musical and this had more the makings of a local production.

First, I have to say that the venue is the best in Phoenix for seeing a Broadway show. Gives you the feel of actually being on Broadway! As for the show, I saw Dreamgirls on Broadway back in the 80's & this ensemble was as good if not better! What a terrific performance by all! I would recommend it to everyone! The voices, the energy, the experience was overwhelming satisfying. "And all you have to do is dream, baby. We'll be there!"

Fabulous singing, pure entertainment. Don't miss this show.

We went to the matinee and had a wonderful time!! Such a wonderful cast! The voices and energy were amazing!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

We left at the intermission. With the exception of a couple of scenes, all we heard was speech that was difficult to understand, loud arguing and singing that wasat times yelling. We were very disappointed.

Our group of 4 were entertained by Dreamgirls from the moment we sat in our chairs. It was a fabulous performance. Costumes and costume changes were amazing. Dancing spectacular. Acoustics were great. The best was the singing. Wow! I can say that I've seen Chastity Dawson before she became famous!

I have seen the play numerous times in the past but must say this was one of the best if not the best collection of voices that I've heard. Too bad there isn't a soundtrack representing this group.

Start to end, simply 1st rate performances. Whole heartedly would pay to see this performance again and highly recommend others to view as well. The performers made the entire musical event come alive. Performance left me wanting more!

I've seen several versions of this play including the original on broadway back in the late 80's with the original cast which was fantastic. This show I saw Friday evening, was awesome to say the least. All the characters had fantastic voices, the scenery and changes during the show was great, i felt like I was at the broadway show in N.Y. Great Job Cast .....

This was my first visit to the Orpheum, so I had no idea what to expect (we normally go to Gammage). The theater is beautiful and the production did not disappoint. The set was beautiful and the cast was AMAZING - YOU GO, EFFIE WHITE!!!

Expected it to be good but it went far beyond that. Great talent, sets and costumes were outstanding

Love the singing. Every cast member can sing and dance. A fast moving, entertaining production. Good story line as well.

Amazing voices!!! Great venue!!! I would recommend Dream girls to others. I plan to return to The Orpheum for future events.

My third time seeing Dream Girls. Saw the original cast in New York on Broadway in 1982 this show compares and exceeds!

Seeing the stage presentation of Dreamgirls makes me remember why I enjoy live theater. Seeing the movie several years ago, I had forgotten quite a few of the songs and it brought back some wonderful memories. I like how the Orpheum is retraining people to aarive on time and to not get up and down multiple times during a performance. I love seeing shows at this venue. Next up... Stomp!

The acrobatics were amazing, the magic tricks were mind boggling, the stage was amazing, the flow of the whole show went great. This is one of the greatest shows I've seen. I was amazed & greatly impressed.

I am 72 years old and have been all over the World - I have never been so entertained! The time went so fast, it seemed the performance was over in 10 min - not the actual 2+ hours. Unforgettable!!!

Fantastic acts, most unusual, bright colorful set and costumes, beautiful singing voices. venue was beautiful and we had a very enjoyable afternoon. Would recommend this show to anyone especially parents who want to expose their children to the theater.
