Theater League Tickets

I thoroughly enjoyed this show. The music was wonderful. I have seen the movie and the stories were very similar. I was very impressed how they adapted some of the scenes to the stage.

Having been a fan of Alice Walker's book well before the movie, I was eager to see this production and the story's translation onto stage. Kudo's to all in capturing the essence of Celie's journey!

The main characters were outstanding. Wonderful singers and actors. Sophia played her part to a T. Celia and Sugar were also excellent. The storyline was very easy to follow. Would certainly recommend.

The play was very impressive in how it contained various elements that were injected to bring across the narrative/story. For example, the African piece - very well done.

Do not miss this when it comes to your town! Excellent production of Alice Walker's book. And the singing was unbelievable! I could see it again!

Absolutely fantabulous!!!!!!! Never a dull moment with many tears and much laughter!! Great choreography and wonderful casting. thank you for a wonderful afternoon at the theater.

The acting, singing, dancing was entertaining and wonderful. Made the anniversay night with my wife an A++.

I have read the book and have seen the movie several times....but seeing the story on a stage...by far the most moving and powerful way this story can be told. I would definately go see this again.
