Grizzly Bear was super awesome - wish they would have played longer! The xx are boring, but that was to be expected.

About
Four years after forming in a London school, The xx unleashed their 2009 eponymous debut via Young Turks. The 11-track collection not only earned accolades from critics across the globe, but it also scored the U.K.’s coveted Mercury Prize and landed the dream-pop band in the limelight stateside. Singles from their indie-label foray graced American television programs like “Person of Interest” and “90210,” as well as a Karl Lagerfeld runway show and NBC’s coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
Along with their own headlining theater tours and concerts alongside Friendly Fires, Hundred Waters and The Big Pink, the musical trio has performed at several festivals, including the Matt Groening-curated All Tomorrow’s Parties in 2010, Coachella, Sasquatch Festival and Lollapalooza, among others.
For their most recent effort, 2012’s “Coexist,” the indie pop outfit expanded their ticket-buying base with post-dubstep EDM influences. Though mellow, these touches can be heard in the album’s first two singles, “Angels” and “Chained.”

The XX were amazing!
by KnuxIfYouBux on 6/10/13Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - BerkeleyRating: 5 out of 5The XX played a great show and in one of the greatest venues for music. They played a lot of songs from their debut album, "The XX" and it was a good choice. The Greek Theater has great acoustics and is relatively easy to get to. Parking can be a little hectic but if you get there early enough this shouldn't be a problem.

Incredible.
by leonpmc on 6/9/13Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - BerkeleyRating: 5 out of 5The xx played an amazing setlist that flowed beautifully with it's transitions. Defintely incorporated their Coexist album more. I LOVED IT :)

Best show I've ever been to. Was absolutely amazing.
Audibly the best.
by ummshine on 6/8/13Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - BerkeleyRating: 5 out of 5The xx were mesmerizing. I found a new appreciation for their album Coexist. I'm a big fan of the xx , and was not disappointed. I love the venue and I dare say not one bad seat. You can see the stage at any angle. My music experience was enriched by this evening's events. I would totally go see the xx again and would definitely see a performance at the Berkeley Greek Theatre again.

by Anonymous on 6/7/13Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5It was the best show I have ever been to. This band has the most beautiful music and they are very good at maintaining the feelings of intimacy and emotional depth that you get listening to their albums alone in your room even when you are surrounded by hundreds of people. Their performance live is absolutely flawless, their stage presence is mesmerizing, and it is impossible not to feel your heart make a couple of jumps while listening to their music live. The xx is an absolute must-see.

Get your tickets ASAP!
by MrLawrenceLady on 6/6/13Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5This show blew my mind. I was excited at first so I bought my tickets early and as the date approached I was worried they might not be so great live. I go to multiple shows a month so sometimes it can be hard to impress me. Don't get me wrong, I love the Xx and their unique sound but I don't love every song on the albums they have released. When I got there and heard them and saw them do their thing my opinion completely changed. The whole stage set up was equipped with light/laser effects and it just enhanced the experience of listening to their music. Songs I was on the fence about finally made sense when I saw them performed live. And most importantly their sound guy was spot on in the venue I went to, the sound was amazing. So basically go see the Xx, I doubt you will regret it!

The XX Live
by Echo414 on 6/6/13Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5The XX has mesmerizing music, but the live show is so much more. The chemistry of the group and seamless playlist were highlights of the show. The artistic design of the stage lighting seemed to be custom made for the Uptown, and the architectural features of the venue were used in a wonderful way. The sound producers did a wonderful job with the balance in the theater, as well. Resonance without too much volume. Regrets: I wanted the show to be longer...
