Great show. They are obviously master craftsmen when tailoring their music. A must for anyone who likes rockin' bluegrass.
We enjoy their music, but were very surprised how much fun their concert was! People were up and dancing the whole time. Great job, guys!
The Wood Brothers are easily one of the best concerts I've been to in years! These guys are unbelievably talented and full of energy. Whether it's the work on the stand up bass or the changing pace of the lead guitar, these guys lit it up all night. I've been listening to them for the past 8 years and can say that seeing The Wood Brothers live should be experienced by anyone who is a fan of great music.
Show was amazing. Love watching these guys play. Big Mike is an awesome way to hear the music.
The bass intro let everyone know they were in for something special. The crowd were real fans who knew all the lyrics, and the band seemed to feed off the crowd. You could tell they were having fun up there. These guy's really are some fine musicians. I'm a little surprised they aren't more well known. I feel like I'm in on the best kept secret out there. They should be headlining The Grammys. They really got SOUL. Folk, jazz, country, blues, and they really rock the house. I can't see anyone not liking this band.
The Wood Brothers just keep getting better and better. They're amazing musicians and songwriters, and their shows are perfection. Moving songs and songs that move you.
The Wood Brothers are absolutely amazing especially when in a smaller setting such as Variety Plsyhouse!
Special performance by the Wood Bros. Love the Playhouse, very cool place to see a show
They put on an awesome show! Would highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of theirs
The Wood Brothers have delivered again. Their shows are always wonderful.
Just found the band a few months ago. Live performance was great. Sound was right on. Could have used a longer encore but just amazing musicians and song writers.
The show was great. The opening act was really cool with the different languages that were being sung. The main event was really awesome to watch with the neat instruments and relaxing sound of their harmonies.
While I have seen them many times before, this time the Wood Brothers came through Boston they slayed. They always have a great vibe, like you just walked into their family room, but they seriously delivered the musical goods this time. Thankfully someone decided to ditch the chairs from their last performance at the Paradise. A great mix of songs, some killer artistry and a great vibe...I love these guys.
These guys were even better than expected, and I went in with high expectations. Chris Wood is just a master of the upright bass. Incredible. I will see them again any time they are within driving distance.
...since the last time I saw them, of course! These guys never disappoint, and I was quite pleased with the venue as well. Brought a friend along who I just recently showed the Wood Brothers to, she immediately declared herself Obsessed and has bought all of their albums in a matter of days! They really are THAT GOOD.
I have seen the Wood Brothers almost a dozen times now. Since my first time seeing them live in 2005, they have improved and matured musically. I do not buy many CDs anymore, but no collection is complete without every Wood Brothers album. Not only does the music keep getting better, but the lyrics and flow keep improving as well. This show opened up with 3 new songs, leaving the crowd hollering for more. I would prefer seeing them play a venue with seats, because standing room only tends to welcome a rowdier crowd. You don't want to miss a note of this music, so silence is key for many of their songs. That being said, their catalog of songs does offer some floor stomping jams that you CANNOT sit down for. I give these guys 5 out of 5 because they are damn worth it. When you go see them, you are guaranteed to get Wood every time!
AMAZING. These guys are so incredible in person I am always blown away. I can't wait for them to come back to town!
One of the best concerts I have ever gone to. The music was great (being able to give perfect 3 part harmonies 2 hours into a set is just amazing), they played 3 encores, stayed after midnight for us, and then hung out in the bar after the show talking to fans.
The sound quality and being front row at the show was amazing. The harmonies and upright bass sounded great. Really enjoyed the set and the Big Mic tunes.
Fantstic performance from rayland and the wood brothers! Cannnnnot wait to see them again! I mean, what artists encourage you to join them downstairs for conversations and cocktails?!?
