About

The Wild Kratts Live! on Tour

What's the best way to get kids to learn about things like ecology and the animal kingdom and keep them entertained at the same time? Turn them on to The Wild Kratts. Ever since the show made its debut back in 2011, it's used exciting animal adventure tales and colorful animation to tell stories that clue kids in to valuable lessons about the natural world.

The stars of the show (at least the human ones) are actually its creators. Real-life brothers Chris and Martin Kratt write and direct the show that they brought into being, but they also appear as animated characters, providing their own voices. In each episode, the Kratts rub shoulders (and tentacles and paws and hooves) with another bunch of animals in a different adventure, from sperm whales and giant squids to porcupines and hippos.

In addition to knowing how to capture kids' imaginations, the brothers really understand their subject — Martin holds a degree in zoology, and Chris has worked as a professional ecologist. They also understand how to harness that combination of educational power and creativity that has made The Wild Kratts an international phenomenon and turn it into a thrilling live-action show.

With The Wild Kratts Live, Chris and Martin connect to their fans in a completely different way, as they bring their adventures to life. Not only do the men behind the Emmy-nominated program appear onstage in front of the kids who've grown up loving the Kratts, those kids also get a chance to interact with them when the brothers pose questions to the audience.

No Wild Kratts event would be complete without the animals. In keeping with the show's philosophy, the Kratts elected to leave actual creatures of the wild unhampered, opting instead to have actors play a host of larger-than-life animals onstage. Between the Kratts, the creatures, and the production, fans of the series will have the time of their lives.

The Kids were like Beatles Fans!

by So fun! on 3/11/24Fred Kavli Theatre- B of A Performing Arts Center,Thousand Oaks - Thousand Oaks

The Kratt brothers clearly put on the best live show for our kids. As a mom of a 6 year old who is obsessed with them, I too enjoyed the show! They made sure to include all the characters, had a live Zack Bot on stage, creature power suits, everything!

    Location

by BN on 3/11/24San Jose Civic - San Jose

At the San Jose Civic Center, the flat seating in the middle section presented a challenge for children attending the event. The limited sightlines made it difficult for them to see the stage clearly. As a result, many children were either standing or sitting on their parents' laps to get a better view.

    Fun show, bad venue

by Mom w/ 6 year old science-loving kid on 3/10/24San Jose Civic - San Jose

The show was fun, the seating at our venue was awful. We had floor seats, and there was no incline and the stage wasn’t high enough so all the kids had trouble seeing anything. Meanwhile I as a grown up hunched down to try not to block kids behind us. The venue also only opened concessions on one side but didn’t have signage saying which side was open. As a result, the line at intermission was so long we missed part of the show, and they had ran out of half their stuff by the time we got there. Badly organized. Probably wouldn’t go again if it were at the same venue.

    Disappointed

    by GMA on 3/9/24

We drove 2 1/2 hours in excitement to see the show. Very disappointed. Chris and Martin standing on stage in front of and interacting with a very large tv screen. We can watch that from home. We were expecting more for a live show. 👎🏼🥱

    Best Show Ever!

    by WildKrattsSuperFan on 3/9/24

Omg, omg, omg! Wild Kratts Live was AMAZING! I grew up watching the Kratt Brothers on Zoboomafoo when I was a kid and now I'm a Wild Kratts fan, so it was so awesome getting to see my childhood heroes in real life. The show was absolutely amazing. The Kratt Brothers have such incredible energy and really kept the audience engaged throughout the show. The meet and greet was fantastic! The Kratt Brothers are the nicest human beings on the planet. Such a fun show and now keeping my fingers crossed for a Wild Kratts Live 3.0!

    Childhood Reimagined

by Christy on 11/25/23DeVos Performance Hall - Grand Rapids

We loved the show! Chris and Martin do a great job of incorporating the animated series into the live performance. My now 17 and 16 year olds who grew up watching the series loved the performance as much if not more than my 5 year old! It was a great early Christmas present for the whole family.

    Great fun for all!

by JeanBean on 11/22/23DeVos Performance Hall - Grand Rapids

We were pleasantly surprised and impressed by the Wild Kratts Live 2.0 show! The costumes were well done, and the mix of cartoon action and live action was perfectly in line with Wild Kratts. Chris and Martin did a great job interacting with the crowd, and their ending of the show was perfect done--avoiding sadness for the kids that the show was over, and providing excitement for what was to come.

Brought the story off the screen

by Ken on 11/22/23DeVos Performance Hall - Grand Rapids

The Kratt brothers brought great energy to their show. The engaged and interacted with the kids in the audience well. The story was fun and they did a good job incorporating animal "creature powers"into it without actually having live animals as part of the performance. It was a fun family day. I'd say its best for kids between about age 5-10.

    Wonderful!

    by Momof3 on 11/19/23State Theatre - Minneapolis

We brought our 9.5 year old son, 8 year old daughter and 5.5 year old son. They all LOVED it! I thought our oldest might feel like it was too babyish, but he didn't. Our five year old had a permanent grin on his face. They did a great job of balancing live action on stage with the screen and incorporating the cartoon characters. It felt a lot like watching a Wild Kratts episode. All the interesting facts and tidbits mixed in with hi jinx and adventure. The costumes and set were great. Bonus, the merch on site was cheaper than I could find online. So glad we got to have this experience with our kiddos!
