Amazing show!!! The band was great and the venue was nice.
The Wailers were great but the opening act, The Folkadelics, stole the show!! If you get a chance definitely give them a listen. I hear they are opening for Rusted Root, also at the Paramount, on August 24th.
The show started on time with the opening act. (Young) Wailers arrived at 9:30 p.m. and took us down memory lane. No assigned seats for general admission. Large hall with seating on the floor level and upper level which was one step up from main floor. Female security should have been on duty to check and search all ladies and not males checking females. This should not happen for future venues. Very disappointed no CD's or T shirts on sale to purchase of the Wailers prior to or after the show.
Great show as always! Love the Wailers! I wish they came around more often.
very nice, crowd was jumping..good sound..great crowd..very hot like the islands
The Wailers reputation is obviously well known, worldwide. We lost Bob many years ago - a loss that is incalculable. However, often in life, the most important thing is, to simply carry on. Well the Wailers don't simply carry on, they cement their place as Reggae Kings, in carrying the torch here, into the " ought teens. " Aston (Family Man) Barrett remains the finest bassist in reggae. Some of the other faces are new, but they can all have chops, and are clearly committed to reggae. The mix of songs was excellent. Hits and deep tracks were well represented. The two singers performed very well, as did the fine backing singers. I LOST WEIGHT during this show I danced so much! If you love reggae, do yourself a favor and see The Wailers now. It's living, breathing history. The opener, Destroy Babylon, has a very bright future. An excellent new band, carrying the torch. GO SEE THE WAILERS!
The Wailers were amazing!! One of my top five shows ever for sure. Played many though not all of my faves including 3 Little Birds. Only caught last tune of opening band. Tix were cheap but could have definitely purchased day of if I had wanted to. Downside was no separate will call window or line. First time at this venue. Despite the very hot day the venue was fairly comfortable. It is very well maintained with good acoustiics and lovely old venue with wood floors and cool wood slats above. Lots of ceiling fans. Line for the bar was long but moved quickly.Special watermelon kamikaze was not very strong but yummy and refreshing. Staff was friendly and efficient. Also it is adjacent to Hampton Beach so if you arrive early you could get some yummy beachy fare and sit on the beach or a bench and picnic. I drove in right at sunset which was gorgeous.
I could listen The Wailer's music all day, every day. The music puts an instant smile on my face and makes anyone want to dance. I've seen The Wailers 3 times and hope to see them many more times in New England- I hope they come back to The Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom :-)
Once the Wailers started to play, the music was pleasurable. The only advice is to have a quicker turnaround in between bands as approximately 1 hour was to long to wait.
Full of energy, high spirits and great songs from Bob Marley.
My husband is a huge Bob Marley fan and this night was one for him to never forget! Such a fun show!
Event had way too much bass. Could not hear or understand lead vocals. Did not play "Bob Marley song until very late in show by that time lost interest in show. Would not see them again.
great showas always, this is the second time i attend the wailers show and it's been a blast
First two support bands were better than main Act "wailers" very late in starting and not very impressed, we left before the end of the show.
Opening acts were okay. Wailers were awesome. Venue is nice. Would be better if there were sitting other than the balcony area. Makes for a long night of standing. The concert was awesome though.
This was a very good show. I will go see them if they come back to Orlando
I was happy to hear the Wailers doing new material to carry on Bob Marley's legacy. The audience really loved hearing authentic reggae from Jamaica. I was happy to hear my favorite "Could This Be Love".
Wailers didn't hit the stage until after 11:30, but besides that it was a great show!
The Wailers put on an awesome show. They were definitely fun to watch.
Words can't describe what I was feeling that night, seeing the Wailers 30
