The Tenors on Tour

Although The Tenors' sound is a combination of classical and pop, the group's concerts are impossible to pigeonhole. Their setlists have been known to include everything from Motown classics to Beatles hits, to renditions of "Agnus Dei" and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." No matter what style The Tenors lend their voices to, it's the power of those pipes that has fans around the world coming back to their performances. Each member of the group is a world-class vocalist on his own terms, and as they trade off on lead vocals, it only becomes more clear. But when their voices combine, they add up to even more than the considerable sum of their parts. Between The Tenors' unbridled eclecticism, out-of-this-world vocal chops and sheer stage presence, it's nearly impossible to walk out of one of their concerts unmoved.

The Tenors in Concert

The Tenors were born out of a vision to combine the best of operatic material with pop, presented by singers possessed of both flawless technique and intense emotion. The lineup has changed since they started, but the mission remains the same. The group first came together in 2004 in Victoria, BC, and early on they were known as The Canadian Tenors, but their moniker changed when it became clear that they could appeal to audiences far beyond their national borders. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2005, though it was the follow-up (also self-titled) that really put them on the map, hitting both the classical and pop charts in the U.S. as well as Canada. Since then, these Canucks have become virtual citizens of the world, playing the most prestigious venues all over the planet, and appearing on television everywhere from PBS to the BBC.

Remarkable as usual. These guys bring so much joy to my heart. If not yet, please allow under 19 to this show so I can bring my teenage daughter who loves them also.

The gents were in fine form as was their band! Both the adult and children's choirs were fabulous and the stage design was absolutely gorgeous! The evening had some funny moments as well and it was sad when it was over--the 2 hours just zoomed right by! Absolutely beautiful music and voices! <3

  • Amazing, memorable performance

This was, by far, the best concert ever given by these three tenors. Their music was so soulful and moving. I have heard many of the concerts by the 'four' tenors, but these three sang with their hearts and we, the audience, could feel it! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

  • Better than before

by BarbNSC on 5/21/17DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

Having seen The Tenors many times, in many venues over the last five years or so I was expecting a good show but had set my sights too low. The one at DPAC in Durham was a GREAT show. The three showmen now under this name were more relaxed, more involved at all times, and much more in touch with their audience than ever before. These three clicked in ways not seen in the past. I highly recommend the NEW The Tenors and am already looking forward to the next tour so I can start planning to see and hear them again. They are worth the cost of travel to see.

  • Musical excellence.

The Tenors performance was excellent. The show was just wonderful. They are so talented and they offer such a range of music. It is rare that an audience gives a standing ovation for every song. They were that good. This is the second time we have seen them at DPAC. Saw them last year and just had to come back again. I would highly recommend it.

The Tenors are fantastic group of men who are pitch perfect and have vast repertoire of music and songs from Italian opera to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. These 3 men, accompanied by a superb band of musicians, make your evening worthwhile.

What an amazing show! The Tenors gave a wonderful performance, with many different genres of songs. They sang religious songs, opera, Oldies (Roy Orbison) and many others. The blend of their voices is perfect. They were funny and personable. I would definitely go to another of their shows.

Seeing The Tenors was on our "bucket list" and their concert in Durham just happened to be our 29th wedding anniversary. What an AMAZING concert from beginning to end!!! We loved how they kept the audience involved all the time and were just so down to earth. Love to see that they are so family oriented. It is obvious they love what they do!!! This is a "must see" concert.

Thought their performance was very good-enjoyed their diversity with song selection but thought they got a little loud on parts of some songs-almost like hollering. When they were softer it was absolutely beautiful.

The Tenors put on a great show ---- the guys are warm, genuine and so talented. Their music is uplifting and wonderful!!!! Just wish the show was a little longer and that they were touring in the Midwest. Hopefully next time! :) Also did the Meet & Greet, which is a great chance to tell them how much we are glad they are together. Their manager took the photo, which is nice, just wish it was a little more clearer/better quality photo - a bit fuzzy. For the price of the VIP tickets, it would be nice if they had a professional photographer take the photos. All and all, The Tenors are a class act and LOVE their music. Can't wait for their next album!
