About

The Tenors on Tour

Although The Tenors' sound is a combination of classical and pop, the group's concerts are impossible to pigeonhole. Their setlists have been known to include everything from Motown classics to Beatles hits, to renditions of "Agnus Dei" and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." No matter what style The Tenors lend their voices to, it's the power of those pipes that has fans around the world coming back to their performances. Each member of the group is a world-class vocalist on his own terms, and as they trade off on lead vocals, it only becomes more clear. But when their voices combine, they add up to even more than the considerable sum of their parts. Between The Tenors' unbridled eclecticism, out-of-this-world vocal chops and sheer stage presence, it's nearly impossible to walk out of one of their concerts unmoved.

The Tenors in Concert

The Tenors were born out of a vision to combine the best of operatic material with pop, presented by singers possessed of both flawless technique and intense emotion. The lineup has changed since they started, but the mission remains the same. The group first came together in 2004 in Victoria, BC, and early on they were known as The Canadian Tenors, but their moniker changed when it became clear that they could appeal to audiences far beyond their national borders. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2005, though it was the follow-up (also self-titled) that really put them on the map, hitting both the classical and pop charts in the U.S. as well as Canada. Since then, these Canucks have become virtual citizens of the world, playing the most prestigious venues all over the planet, and appearing on television everywhere from PBS to the BBC.

    Canadian Tenors are OUR GIFT!

by Afanforever on 12/6/10Sony Centre for the Performing Arts - Toronto

It was a wonderful show. The Canadian Tenors never disappoint!!! They are amazing and their voices send shivers through me. Love the intimate feel of their concerts. The guest perfomers were good, but, I would have preferred JUST the Canadian Tenors, of course!

Having heard the Canadian Tenors at Dundas Square 2 years ago, I was so excited to go and see them at the Sony Centre. The concert was awesome. I could have listened to them all night. Especially enjoyed The Prayer and Hallelujah.

    Tenors Make Canada Proud

by BluzToo on 12/6/10Sony Centre for the Performing Arts - Toronto

As always the Canadian Tenors where amazing. The couple that performed were less than memorable (more so their choice of music) - a few less "friends" and more Tenors

    Canadian Tenors--great performance!

by Tula on 12/5/10Symphony Hall Atlanta - Atlanta

I would highly recommend the Canadian Tenors and will plan to see them any time they're in Atlanta. I just wish Symphony Hall had been full; it needs to be better advertised in the future.

    Canadian Tenors

by Suky on 11/28/10The Midland by AMC - Kansas City

They were average. I liked them better when they sang together. Two of them had stronger voices than the other two. Also the seating was very tight and uncomfortable. They started 15-20 mintues late and had a 30 minute intermission. I think they were stalling because their cd's didn't arrive for sales at the concert. Wouldn't go see them again.

    unforgettable but concert too short

by 2Tenorfans on 11/25/10Symphony Hall Atlanta - Atlanta

We've been fans of all the great Tenor groups around the world and when we saw the Canadian Tenors on PBS we knew that we wanted to get tickets. Their show did not dissapoint us. It was worth the long drive from our hometown to get to Atlanta. Also having just lost my father 2 yrs ago, Remigio sang a song in his father's memory, and I cried through the whole thing. We got to meet them after the show and I told him how he made me cry. They signed autographs and were very gracious to everyone. I now listen to their CD in my office all day. I only wish they sang a little longer, but their show was great and I hope to see them again.

    Tenor-rific!

by KansasCritic on 11/24/10The Midland by AMC - Kansas City

My wife & I went to the concert to celebrate or 42nd wedding anniversary a bit early (December 22nd). We usually go to K.C. anyway, so this concert was timely. We've seen the Canadian Tenors on PBS and were excited to see them in person. The show surpassed our high expectations! We described the goup to the 2 ladies who sat next to us before the show as, "Josh Groban times 4"! They told us we were right! The guys even signed CD's after the show and were very charmiing & "down to earth". We recommend their new Christmas CD, it's a great momento of the concert!

    The Canadian Tenors were Magic!

by BarryandDuffy on 11/23/10Symphony Hall Atlanta - Atlanta

We were literally on the edge of our seats... the guys were funny, entertaining and (of course) talented! We were honored to be at their first 'Headliner'show in Atlanta. I hope they never lose their 'down home' presentation. Victor, you are the next Pavarotti for sure! Clifton, you sing effortlessly. Remigio and Fraser, you are phenomonal! WE ARE FANS FOR LIFE!

    The Canadian Tenors were fabulous

by shypepper on 11/23/10Symphony Hall Atlanta - Atlanta

The tenors were in fine style in Atlanta. The music was amazing and they came out after to sign autographs. They came out within 10 mins or so and did not make us wait. The only disappointments were 1) Victor did not come out to sign autographs, 2) I wish Fraser would have sung "Bring Him Home" instead and 3) Victor did not sing a solo like the rest of the guys. Overall the concert was well worth the money and more. I introduced several new people to the Canadian Tenors and have since gotten them hooked on these fabulous singers. I can't wait until they come back to Atlanta and for a new CD as well!

Canadian Tenors need to be heard in person!

by DJ39 on 11/23/10Symphony Hall Atlanta - Atlanta

The guys sound even better in person. They are entertaining and their voices take over the room. The CD's sound good but live they truly command the stage. The only disappointment to the evening was the overwhelming sounds of the drummer at times during the first half of the show. For fans of the classical crossover sound, these guys are a must!
