The Tenors on Tour

Although The Tenors' sound is a combination of classical and pop, the group's concerts are impossible to pigeonhole. Their setlists have been known to include everything from Motown classics to Beatles hits, to renditions of "Agnus Dei" and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." No matter what style The Tenors lend their voices to, it's the power of those pipes that has fans around the world coming back to their performances. Each member of the group is a world-class vocalist on his own terms, and as they trade off on lead vocals, it only becomes more clear. But when their voices combine, they add up to even more than the considerable sum of their parts. Between The Tenors' unbridled eclecticism, out-of-this-world vocal chops and sheer stage presence, it's nearly impossible to walk out of one of their concerts unmoved.

The Tenors in Concert

The Tenors were born out of a vision to combine the best of operatic material with pop, presented by singers possessed of both flawless technique and intense emotion. The lineup has changed since they started, but the mission remains the same. The group first came together in 2004 in Victoria, BC, and early on they were known as The Canadian Tenors, but their moniker changed when it became clear that they could appeal to audiences far beyond their national borders. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2005, though it was the follow-up (also self-titled) that really put them on the map, hitting both the classical and pop charts in the U.S. as well as Canada. Since then, these Canucks have become virtual citizens of the world, playing the most prestigious venues all over the planet, and appearing on television everywhere from PBS to the BBC.

Absolutely fabulous show. The Tenors are amazing; their voices and showmanship make for great entertainment. I wish they would come to Boston more often. The Tenors are my favorite group!!!

  • A night with the Tenors

Wonderful evening! Beautiful voices! Lovely seats up front! Fun night!😋

  • Loved the performance. The Wilbur Theater was a poor match.

by Redhead on 11/12/23The Wilbur - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Love the Tenors on Thursday in Boston. The Wilbur does not deserve to host the Tenors. Shabby looking, cabaret style seating, crowded together on horrible seats. And not sure why there were so many empty seats. I saw The Canadian Tenors in 2015 with their debut after the PBS special in 2015 or so. Very few groups like the Tenors can survive and thrive after the loss of 2 founding members. But I believe that both Mark and Alberto are outstanding on every way. Good Luck. It was nice to have the members-Clifton and Mark showcase their individual talents. Both solos blew me away. Victor your hard work bringing The New Tenors back to us was hard work, creativity, and much appreciated. Clifton's My Way. It would have made old blue eyes weep! You do you father proud! Blessings.

I LOVE The Tenors, but when Clifton came down and sat next to me (in Boston), it just blew the whole night over the top!!! I’m still in shock!!! This was an early birthday present to myself, the BEST present of my life!!!

  • Interesting Evening

by GKL on 11/6/23NYCB Theatre at Westbury - WestburyRating: 4 out of 5

We received an offer for very inexpensive seats Row J.....so that was impressive. We both wished that they had sung more of the old standards [ or at least songs that we knew ] then songs they had written. The 2nd "act"was much better than the first "act". We would go see them again. Why wasn't the stage revolving?

  • We loved it!!

by June on 1/5/23Roy Thomson Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The first half was traditional Christmas music. So appreciated hearing them. Not sung enough. Would love to have heard Mary did you know. Second half contemporary but a great mix. Would definitely go again. Appreciated hearing about their background and how they got together. Amazing voices.

  • It was an amazing show! Got to sit on stage with The Tenots

  • Sound system balance terrible

by Skipp on 12/27/22Roy Thomson Hall - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

While it's easy to tell the Tenors are great, the sound balance for this concert was pretty bad. I could best describe it as "muddy" with a distinct lack of clarity. The band was too loud, couldn't hear the ensemble with strings at all except for the trumpets and couldn't hear the choir at all either. Roy Thompson Hall has excellent acoustics so there is no excuse to not balancing all the supporting elements. Even the tenor mics didn't seem to delivery clarity so I could hear even the individual voices when they were singing together. Just watched Il Volo perform in Meridien Hall earlier in the year and they were superb - and so was the balance of orchestra with the guys - everything had clarity.

  • Disappointed

These guys were beyond good and the depth, strength of their voices were exceptional .The venue helped create the atmosphere that made a night not special but marvellous .Bravo Bravo Tenors

  • Great foursome

by Gilly on 12/26/22Roy Thomson Hall - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Loved the energy and voices when The Tenors sang without the band. One very large problem...the bass guitar, double bass and bass drum were BOOMING through the speakers!!!! I was 2nd row 12 ft away from the VERY large speakers. Not great. The sound crew needed to tone the volume down for the band and ensemble and heighten the volume for The Tenors.

  • What an incredible way to launch Christmas!

  • Best holiday concert

by Pat on 12/21/22National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

The show was amazing and their performance incredible with all the choir ,orchestra my only little sadness is we heard every on on stage except the orchestra band was very low and find that the sound was not balance high enough since we could only heard them at the quiet moment but like i said on the overall me and my wife pass a very great evening,to repeat next years!!!

  • The light show was a blinding experience

by Tenors fan on 12/21/22National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 1 out of 5

The Tenors put on a most enjoyable performance. However the high powered spot lights were blinding. We had to look away many times and this ruined the experience. Our seats were row F seats 1 and 3.

  • Gives you all the feels

by The English Bird on 12/21/22National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Being a huge Remigio fan, I was skeptical they would be as good without him now they are back to four. They were amazing! I was enthralled, dazzled, mesmerized, excited….I can’t wait to see them again!

  • Fabulous!

by The Pelletier Sisters on 5/12/22Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This event was a Christmas present for my sisters. Although it was postponed a few times due to Covid, we hung in there. The whole evening was more that I could ever have expected or imagine. The music...the singing...the interactions with family in the audience and the audience themselves was wonderful. The repertoire went from the classic, to modern, to music their wrote themselves.i was teary the whole evening!
