The Tenors on Tour

Although The Tenors' sound is a combination of classical and pop, the group's concerts are impossible to pigeonhole. Their setlists have been known to include everything from Motown classics to Beatles hits, to renditions of "Agnus Dei" and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." No matter what style The Tenors lend their voices to, it's the power of those pipes that has fans around the world coming back to their performances. Each member of the group is a world-class vocalist on his own terms, and as they trade off on lead vocals, it only becomes more clear. But when their voices combine, they add up to even more than the considerable sum of their parts. Between The Tenors' unbridled eclecticism, out-of-this-world vocal chops and sheer stage presence, it's nearly impossible to walk out of one of their concerts unmoved.

The Tenors in Concert

The Tenors were born out of a vision to combine the best of operatic material with pop, presented by singers possessed of both flawless technique and intense emotion. The lineup has changed since they started, but the mission remains the same. The group first came together in 2004 in Victoria, BC, and early on they were known as The Canadian Tenors, but their moniker changed when it became clear that they could appeal to audiences far beyond their national borders. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2005, though it was the follow-up (also self-titled) that really put them on the map, hitting both the classical and pop charts in the U.S. as well as Canada. Since then, these Canucks have become virtual citizens of the world, playing the most prestigious venues all over the planet, and appearing on television everywhere from PBS to the BBC.

We thought this was superb. Audience was moved to their feet 5 or 6 times. I would go again in an instant. The only complaint we had was there were no programs passed out that might have given bios on the performers or other information that may have been interesting.

  • Tenors in Indy were awesome!

by TJKER on 6/17/13Murat Theatre at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I've been waiting 4 years to be able to hear The Tenors in person. Finally, they came to Indianapolis! The concert was everything I'd hoped for and more. Sometimes artists talk too much and don't perform enough for my liking. These young men shared a bit about themselves and kept the music coming. Getting 4 different solo voices to blend, as they do, is just so beautiful. Each of them brings a style and personality of their own. Their music just soars and lifts! Thank you, Tenors. I look forward to your return to Indy!

  • The Tenors in Minneapolis

by Joman on 6/17/13State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

The Tenors performance is a fantastic show! Each singer and their accompanying musicians are phenomenal artists. They had a good variety of music to keep the ear interested. However, the first part was too loud for the theatre that the sound was distorted. The second half was better. The Tenors told a bit about their backgrounds, which was interesting, yet spent the majority of the time singing, which is why we went to see them. It was a fabulous evening!

  • Alway amazing, those Tenors.

Another awesome concert previewing their new album which is now playing in our house. (The only glitch was a guest that came out for one song. Never heard of him. Sang a Christmas song. That must have been forced on the Tenors from the promotional team.) Other than that, it was great!!!

  • The Tenors are amazing!

by Zooglet on 6/17/13State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

The Tenors are incredible. Their voices are amazing, they are fun and interactive and span many genres, and they couldn't be nicer. They have a sense of perfection and it shows. They are passionate and so fun to watch. When they are serious it gives you goose bumps. I recently went with 3 generations of my family:my 2 daughters and my 3 year old granddaughter who loves them! I am so happy she is exposed to this kind of music as well and theer style is appealing to all. Wouldn't miss them. That was our 4th visit.

The most wonderful concert I have been to in many years. They are tremendous!! Bring them back as soon as possible. Loved their openness and making us feel so comfortable. They just seemed like normal guys who have fantastic voices. The whole concert was surreal.

  • Tenors were Awesome!

by Romaj on 6/17/13State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was terrific! The second half was better than the first. The sound system was disappointing and too loud. There were times that it was so loud it just sounded like a big vibration, not even music. By the end of the concert, the sound system had been adjusted to be less loud and the voice music sounded more natural and less electronic..

No one has ever made me tingle with one breath and cry with the next. Their music was so moving and powerful, their voices were indescribable. I have no words to describe how good it was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were disappointed in the change in venue especially when we recieved much different tickets. We had 5th row and was moved way in the back. The concert itself was the best one we have ever attended and we have gone to many. The overall style that the Tenors showed was amazing. They sang like they wanted to be there!! They were totally amazing. thank you for sharing your gifts with all of us!!

I have to say that this was one of the best concerts I have ever been to! The stunning quality of each and every one of their voices was breathtaking. Great personalities, great songs and voices beyond compare. Don't miss seeing them in person!

Great talents. However, the performance would have been more enjoyable had the volume been dropped just a couple of notches - and, it would have been more appropriate for the venue.

  • The Tenors were amazing !!!

    by skaters123 on 6/16/13State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

The Tenors concert was so fabulous and entertaining, more than I had imagined it would be. They are incredibly talented, their voices unbelievable. Victor's rendition of The Lord's Prayer took my breath away, as did so many of the Tenors' songs. They are humble and to hear their stories of how they brought music into their lives was so wonderful. And funny....they are so funny!! It really made for a well-rounded concert. Four of my family members came to the show with me and they all enjoyed it as much as I did. I definitely will see them again!!!!

  • Talk about amazing!

by SugaaLips on 6/16/13State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing The Tenors in concert and let me just say they did not disappoint. There was an excellent variety of songs including some classical pieces as well as some more modern ones. They had perfect harmony and sang at least 20 songs so it's well worth your money. I will definitely see them again the next time they roll around!

  • The Tenors

by sarahdownunder on 6/16/13State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Great concert with wide variety of music. The Tenors were enthusiastic, and made the concert seem very personal. My only compaint was the sound/mixing. At times the sound was way to loud and harsh. The second half seemed better.

  • Phenomenal

WOW! Truly an amazing experience with inspiring music and gifted musicians. The Tenors, each with amazing vocal gifts to share, together makes for a powerful, uplifting, transforming evening. Held in a beautiful theater with great sound. I am already looking for another opportunity to be swept off my feet by attending another performance by The Tenors!
