About

The Tenors on Tour

Although The Tenors' sound is a combination of classical and pop, the group's concerts are impossible to pigeonhole. Their setlists have been known to include everything from Motown classics to Beatles hits, to renditions of "Agnus Dei" and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." No matter what style The Tenors lend their voices to, it's the power of those pipes that has fans around the world coming back to their performances. Each member of the group is a world-class vocalist on his own terms, and as they trade off on lead vocals, it only becomes more clear. But when their voices combine, they add up to even more than the considerable sum of their parts. Between The Tenors' unbridled eclecticism, out-of-this-world vocal chops and sheer stage presence, it's nearly impossible to walk out of one of their concerts unmoved.

The Tenors in Concert

The Tenors were born out of a vision to combine the best of operatic material with pop, presented by singers possessed of both flawless technique and intense emotion. The lineup has changed since they started, but the mission remains the same. The group first came together in 2004 in Victoria, BC, and early on they were known as The Canadian Tenors, but their moniker changed when it became clear that they could appeal to audiences far beyond their national borders. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2005, though it was the follow-up (also self-titled) that really put them on the map, hitting both the classical and pop charts in the U.S. as well as Canada. Since then, these Canucks have become virtual citizens of the world, playing the most prestigious venues all over the planet, and appearing on television everywhere from PBS to the BBC.

  • Increditble concert (alert:this will be gushing)

by mariros on 11/7/15McCoy Center - New AlbanyRating: 5 out of 5

As a rabid fan I bought the Under One Sky DVD when it came out & was disappointed. Very pedestrian; uninspired stage & back drop, the singing even seemed bland. It was nothing like the beauty or bravado singing of the Las Vegas Lead with your Heart performance. Luckily the Under one Sky CD was better. SO I WAS SO IMMENSELY PLEASED, HAPPY , SURPRISED & RELIEVED WITH THE NEW ALBANY CONCERT. The New Albany Under One Sky performance was perfection, truly100 times better than the DVD. This show was lively, happy, upbeat & smiles through out. Beautiful stage set designs, lighting & artwork, innovative. The band was spot on, music director & pianist Darren DeSouza incredible as always( he needs a solo spot). The TENORS were all in excellent voice & they sang full voiced not holding back. The singing & music were so fresh you'd think this was the only concert they did all year. The TENORS create a friendly intimacy with the audience; you are not being sung to, you are part of it.The TENORS sang like every breath gave them joy. It is wonderful to see true artist enjoying their gift, showing the talent they worked so hard to perfect & doing it humbly. There were so many virtuoso moments you want to stop time; let the notes, the arrangements the delivery sink in, then you want to hear it all again x10. Great variety of song for all music lovers. No weak moments or songs or deliveries. There are moments you want to applaud during a song but don't want to miss what's next so you sit there awed. The TENORS seem like great friends having fun & they pull you along. Incredible talent, incredible musicianship, incredible singers & incredible concert.

  • Uplifting and unforgettable

Fabulous. Very talented young men. Music was so beautiful and performed with skill. It was about faith family and love. I loved the variety of music. Their new music was beautiful as well as the much loved classics. I liked the visuals that brought them to be real people. We took 3 couples that had never heard of them. All were so happy and well fed both from a spiritual and entertains level. Just wonderful.

  • The Tenors are the ultimate performers!

by theatrecompany on 11/5/15Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The 4 gentlemen who make up The Tenors are ultimate performers in every way. From their warm, personal stories shared in a one-on-one style with the audience to the vast repertoire of music genres presented, they are a complete package. In the span of 2 1/2 hours, I laughed out loud, got teary-eyed and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening of music. And face it, while they do the Beatles and pop songs as well, they make opera cool! Definitely a "go see"!

  • tenors great, event staff pitiful and rude

    by kevin1455 on 11/5/15Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

what a great show! loved the showmanship, loved the music, loved the patter between numbers. the hall itself was magnificent and not a bad seat in the house. unfortunately the house staff was inept and rude. the first couldn't direct us to an entry, the second put us the in the wrong seats, and the third tried to interrupt during a song and ask us to move ten seats down. when i said i would, as soon as the song was over, she disrupted the show for tens of folks around us, by arguing with us. the folks who purchased the seats we were mistakenly guided to, waited til the end of the song. but for the staff, excellent

I've been enjoying The Tenor's music for years, so it amazes me to say that they were even better in person!! Their voices were perfect! They are very handsome and I admit I may have swooned a little at times! They interacted with the audience and were sweet and funny! They left you feeling like they were all truly good people! They were spectacular musicians and put on a truly wonderful show! I would highly recommend seeing them if given the opportunity!

  • The Tenors - Unbelievable!

by KittenKatDaisey on 11/4/15Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I was blown away. First this was an extreme surprise from my husband for my birthday. I did not get it until just, really, just before we had to put on our badges for the Meet and Greet. Three tenors were there, Remi missing, and they were wonderful. They hugged me for my birthday and high-five'd my husband for making it a surprise. BTW: Remi was not feeling well and he coughed during performance and apologized to front row people if they woke up with a cold the next day. While I was disappointed he did not attend the Meet and Greet, I was thankful that he practiced good cold hygiene and kept away. Oh, he sang beautifully!!! What a feat. It is hard to sing when you have a cold...I know. Not only did The Tenors meet my expectations, they far exceeded it. I really like the way they all sing a song. In that they weave in and out of each other singing the melody one after another. Such glorious sound. And truly funny too. I had no idea how funny. I found them approximately two years ago while I was switching channels and heard them singing the last three or four songs on PBS. I recorded it it was so wonderful. I have since, until the concert, been watching them on Youtube. I loved the fact that they sing both operatic and 'regular' voice. And what has amazed me is that they switch effortlessly between the two voices and that their 'regular' voices are so very very pure and their diction is terrific which is real important in a live concert as the sound systems vary a lot in their abilities and purity deliverance and hearing impaired or breached have a hard time discerning individual voices and parts. I liked the costume tweaking in the second half of the show. It surprised me and after a bit, it then delighted me. Happy Birthday to Me!!!!! (great husband don't you think?!)

  • Made in Heaven

by Queenbeb on 11/4/15Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I first discovered this group on Spotify... And have been listening to them ever since.. i love their music... Their concert at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra was just superb. These guys are drop dead gorgeous, smart and have a great sense of humor. When they sing you do feel like you are Heaven. Their voices are just amazing! Throughout the concert they shared anecdotes about their family and you can feel that they are truly down to earth! I have no regrets attending not their concert !!! Worth the price of the tickets which was very affordable and had a front row seat!!! I hope they add Atlanta on their roster anytime they are touring cause I will be there in the front row seat!!!

  • The Tenors were amazing!

  • Above Expectations

    by mikestoys19 on 11/4/15Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

We were thoroughly impressed with the group's performance, their individual and unique voices, the beautiful blending, and the selection and variety of music. But the most impressive part of the performance was the personal touch they embodied thru their stories collectively and individually that supported who they are and why they perform. Also, in a world where many performers are so internally focused on their own egos, these guys are giving back to society thru their talents, gifts, and time. We need more of that in the entertainment business.
