About

The Tenors on Tour

Although The Tenors' sound is a combination of classical and pop, the group's concerts are impossible to pigeonhole. Their setlists have been known to include everything from Motown classics to Beatles hits, to renditions of "Agnus Dei" and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." No matter what style The Tenors lend their voices to, it's the power of those pipes that has fans around the world coming back to their performances. Each member of the group is a world-class vocalist on his own terms, and as they trade off on lead vocals, it only becomes more clear. But when their voices combine, they add up to even more than the considerable sum of their parts. Between The Tenors' unbridled eclecticism, out-of-this-world vocal chops and sheer stage presence, it's nearly impossible to walk out of one of their concerts unmoved.

The Tenors in Concert

The Tenors were born out of a vision to combine the best of operatic material with pop, presented by singers possessed of both flawless technique and intense emotion. The lineup has changed since they started, but the mission remains the same. The group first came together in 2004 in Victoria, BC, and early on they were known as The Canadian Tenors, but their moniker changed when it became clear that they could appeal to audiences far beyond their national borders. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2005, though it was the follow-up (also self-titled) that really put them on the map, hitting both the classical and pop charts in the U.S. as well as Canada. Since then, these Canucks have become virtual citizens of the world, playing the most prestigious venues all over the planet, and appearing on television everywhere from PBS to the BBC.

  • The Tenors. . . WOW! WOW! WOW!

by msrue on 8/9/16Sandia Casino Amphitheater - AlbuquerqueRating: 5 out of 5

So wonderful to hear great music performed by the awesome voices of the Tenors! The venue was fabulous with clean air after a rain, a rainbow framing the Sandia mountains and a magnificent sunset! Music choices were great - only the band could have been more "background" - it drowned out many parts of the performance!

  • Four Tenors was awesome!

This was an unforgettable performance. It was vocally superb and thoroughly entertaining. I look forward to attending their next performance at DPAC.

  • Amazing!

by ECUSLP on 2/3/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

The Tenors present one of the best shows I have ever seen. The musical choices while supporting their new album also include a wide variety of songs. Their voice blend perfectly no matter which type of music they present. Each performer has a segment where he sings a solo after explaining what the song means to him. They a friendly, share stories, and engage the audience throughout the show. The meet and Greet for those llucky enough to get that package is so relaxing with lots of hugs and smile and conversation. This is a group you won't want to miss. Five stars all around!

  • Heavenly Harmony and Blend

by Birdie01 on 2/2/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

Wow! What an evening. The audience was so appreciative of the beautiful sounds they were hearing, that its stillness was a beautiful sign of appreciation for the talent on stage. We will certainly attend another tenor concert.

  • The Tenors are the BEST!

  • Great as usual but...

by mrb2222 on 2/2/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 4 out of 5

...I wish they had sung a few more of their hits. They did a great job and are better at entertaining than a year ago. More audience interaction and more personal. They did a nice job showcasing the individual voices that make them such a pleasure to listen too. We will go again next year.

  • A great evening with The Tenors

by RDfanNSC on 2/1/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

Great seats, up-close, great sound and terrific performers. The audience was a bit stiff by usual Tenor fans standards but all the seats were filled and The Tenors responded appropriately with superb vocal performances. I would recommend any of their shows if for no other reason than they have been evolving over the years that I have followed them from a mostly operatic style to more mainstream and their fan base has grown and evolved as well.

  • Terrific Tenors!

by harpybear on 2/1/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

The Tenors gave a spectacular performance bringing the audience to their feet several times during the show! They blend family, spirituality, love, death ... so much of life is reflected in their music. And they blend their voices in harmonies that cause goosebumps! Plus each of the Tenors sang a solo spotlighting their wonderful talents. My daughter and I had an excellent experience and I will be going again when they return to Raleigh Durham.

  • Magical!!

by DM714 on 2/1/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best concerts I have ever attended! Such talented young men with engaging personalities, and, yes, they are very easy on the eyes, as well! The highest compliment I have is that I have already checked their tour schedule, and will make it a point to see them again (my husband wasn't able to go, and I want to share the experience with him).

  • Don't miss The Tenors!

by PWOCChick on 2/1/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

What an amazing performance The Tenors gave at DPAC! The voices are incredible, the music selection is varied, and the dialogue excellent. You feel like you've gotten to know these guys, their band, and even the support team during the show. There were even several surprises in audience interaction. We loved this show and would highly recommend it to everyone!

I so enjoyed this show. Classical Tenor goosebumps combined with humor, family, pop music. I absolutely loved it. Their rendition of How Great Thou Art touched every soul in the house.. And not one mother or father or child had a dry eye. Really great.

  • One word - amazing!

by Wildkrattsfan1021 on 2/1/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

The Tenors put on an amazing show. I loved their joy and energy throughout the evening. Together, they are fabulous. Each solo was wonderful - Nada Mais by Remi, Time To Say Goodbye by Victor, Something by Fraser, and Make You Feel My Love by Clifton. I can't wait to see them again!

  • WELL WORTH THE MONEY

by Anonymous on 2/1/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

I was so impressed with The Tenors. Their voices were amazing alone and with each other. They were funny, entertaining, full of energy, very thankful to the crowd for coming, made you want to hear more. Loved how they changed outfits, loved the dancing, loved the backdrops that went with each song, loved how they talked about their moms, dads, spouses and children. Loved that they spoke of their faith in God. You can tell they have a bond between the 4 of them. Loved how they joked around and told stories about each other. Clean cute men (handsome). My only negative is, I wish when they sang songs in another language that they would have someone singing the english version along with them or maybe sing 1 verse in one language and the next verse in english. Can't wait to go see them again.
