Temptations Revue ft. Nate Evans on Tour
"My Girl." "Papa Was a Rolling Stone." "I Can't Get Next to You." "Ain't Too Proud to Beg." "Just My Imagination." "The Way You Do the Things You Do." "Treat Her Like a Lady." If you're a fan of classic soul music, you know all of them by heart. They're the hit songs of the Temptations, some of the most beloved ever written, performed by musicians who rose out of Detroit to eventually embody the aesthetic of Motown, both the label and the sound.
Over the course of their 50-plus-year career, the Temptations released four Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles and 14 R&B No. 1 singles. Their music has earned three Grammys, including the first for Motown for 1969's "Cloud Nine," and in 2013 they received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. The founding members — Otis Williams, Melvin Franklin, Eddie Kendricks, Paul Williams and David Ruffin — were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. "My Girl," "Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me)" and "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone" are among the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. This music is more than timeless. It's at the very foundation of pop.
Today, the Temptations Revue carries on the tradition started almost 60 years ago, performing concerts to sold-out crowds across the United States. The Temptations Revue is led by Nate Evans, the singer who was brought into the group decades ago by its founding members. Evans brings a cast of veteran vocalists to re-create the Temptations' definitive five-part harmonies, and they're accompanied by an eight-piece band that provides proper live musical backing. From the dapper suits to the gentlemanly dance moves to note-perfect renditions of all those songs you know by heart, the Temptations Revue is the full Temptations experience, delivered here and now.
Loved the show, great seats, great sound, just the right length. Would come again.
Very entertaining! Just loved the moves, the voices and the moves!!
Just an amazing group. Entertaining from the moment they walk on stage until walking off. Very appreciative of the fans. I've seen them twice and can't wait for my third.
Enjoyed being there. The music, band and of course the Temptations were outstanding
The concert started on time, the performers and their backup sound team were great. The audience was enthusiastic and well mannered. My seat on the second level was excellent for viewing. And the rain stopped before the performance began in time to keep us dry!
I've always loved the Temptations! I can recite the movie word for word. To see the Temptations live in person was an amazing experience. To see Mr. Otis Williams was legendary for me! I'm 45 so I literally grew up hearing them everywhere in everyone's home. Amazing!!! I wish it was a lil longer but it was great!
Loved the music! But for that price I expected more comfortable seats, a better mix of sound and a safe place. My seat was not stable and on the edge of a big step. The sound was fuzzy and distorted at times. The railing was movable.
OMG!! This was an awesome concert. I must say, "Exceeded my expectations."The band was amazing. All of the performers were very energetic, stylish, song beautifully, and definitely lived up to the name, Temptations. If you didn't know better, you'd swear they were the original group. Otis, you did it again. Love ❤️ guys. Be blessed 🙌.
The Temptations were at their absolute best!!! The were energetic, in sync, and truly amazing. Every song made me want more. They literally took us to church when they sang, “I Wish it Would Rain.” Each member of the group is a super star. MY ONE WISH: schedule a performance at one of the casinos in Mississippi. Temptations - YOU ARE THE BEST ❤️❤️❤️
perfect size theater to have great seats anywhere in the event center. the show was great
It was a night to remember . She love to see the temptation and to hear the music she grew up on
Fantastic show! One you don't want to miss! The venue is okay but could be better. The casino is very nice but where the concert is held needs improvement. Would have enjoyed the show so much more if people would not block the view and put down their phones. So annoying! If I had to rate the concert, I would say it is absolutely one of the best I have seen!
The Temptations were at their absolute best? Energetic, in sync, melodious voices wowed the packed audience at L’Auberge Casino in Baton Rouge. They literally took us to church when they sang “I Wish it Would Rain.” It was a beautiful evening. They were superb!! I hope they will do a live CD/DVD in the near future. All my love ❤️❤️ Southern Girl
The concert was excellent. We enjoyed their performance from the beginning to the end of the show. Great job Temptations.
The show was great. Seating is a little tight but great show.
The Temptations’ concert was great!! They have always had great music. Would like to see the Four Tops, come back to Kansas City… The seating at the Star Pavilion in the Ameristar Casino, lacks a lot to be desired. The seats need to be offset for each row. A video monitor of the stage would also be great. Something like what is at the Starlight Theater in Kansas City.
Easy entry and seating was great . The program was spectacular
Enjoyed every minute of the Temptations, looking forward to seeing them on Soul Train Cruise
The Temptations vocal ranges were amazing! Beautiful voices, great dance routines, and the back up band was one of the best I’ve ever heard. The horn section added so much fullness to the whole production and the band was so tight! We were dancing in our seats! Great way to showcase The Temptations music!
Excellent show! Couldn’t believe that the group has been together for 60 years and that one of the guys is 81 years young.
