The Strumbellas know that misery loves company, and that if we’re together, even in dark times, there’s some joy in that. Their songs of suffering and celebration date back to their 2012 debut My Father And The Hunter, and the band have obsessively chased big hooks, group vocal exuberance, and folk-rock propulsion through their 2016 breakthrough Hope to 2024’s Part Time Believer. The Juno and iHeartRadio Music Award-winning group’s new song Hard Lines gives listeners an urgent, new take on their iconic mix of intimate feelings with stadium folk sounds.
Determined to use every tool in their arsenal to write a good song, The Strumbellas started by looking inward: random song titles, non-sequitur ideas, scraps of paper, and voice memos of half-sung melodies came from everyone in the band. They then connected with their favourite collaborators, songwriters and producers anywhere from their home in Toronto to Vancouver, Nashville, or LA, to create demos that ranged from campfire-chord whispers to radio-ready productions. The long list was then whittled down by the band along with producer Chad Copelin (LANY, Sasha Sloan, Colony House), who recorded the band at his studio in Norman, Oklahoma. Copelin’s finely honed sonic instincts bring out a newly textured, insistently edgy side to The Strumbellas’ alt-folk stomp.

Amazing show by the Strumbellas 🎶They always deliver !!!! Disappointed with the attendance .
The band is very entertaining and upbeat! Such a great show!
This was my first time at History and I loved the venue. Great sound and an overall great vibe. School House were great and Strumbellas were excellent and full of great energy. Will definitely check out more concerts at History.
This band creates so much joy and love. Through the music and audience interaction, they spread happiness all night long. If you get a chance, see them. The first time we saw them was at a festival and they stole the show then.
What an epic show! Family friendly and amazing performance by the guys from the North! Loved every second of it.
From start to finish, the entire crowd was singing and dancing. Terrific show with a mix of newer music. So much fun and tons of energy. Happy they finally came down to the states!
The Strumbellas put on a really fun and energetic show. It was a great mix of all of their music.
The venue was really cool. Lots of room to dance and spread out but you could purchase seats as well. Both bands exceeded my expectations! The Strumbellas had the place rockin'!
This was a really great show. Was concerned at first about the venue, standing in general admission, checking/not checking our coats, etc... but History was great! Good sight lines to the stage, good sound and despite wearing a coat for several hours, I felt comforable the whole time. Bar was easy to get to, no big lineups, overall a very positive concert experience. Now the band, the Strumbellas were great. Lead singer commented that this was their biggest venue on the tour...maybe even ever...I'm not sure. Either way, this kinda blew my mind, how is this band not more popular?? I really enjoyed the music, the energy and the overall show. A band I'd likely go see again.
