THE STRING CHEESE INCIDENT IN CONCERT:
The String Cheese Incident may be America's quintessential jam band, effortlessly traversing genres and styles to create a truly sweeping live experience that incorporates elements of bluegrass, electronica, and psychedelia into their rock-based sound. Intuitively playing off each other, the band's talented roster of musicians improvise freely atop a full-throttle rhythm section that consistently brings fans to their feet for a dance in the aisles. With Song in My Head â their first studio album in nine years â due out in 2014, the band are sure to be sharper than ever on their tour dates in support of the release.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Named after a food fight that heavily featured cheese, the String Cheese Incident kicked off in Colorado in 1993, self-releasing their early bluegrass-influenced albums and building a regional following with their extended live shows. In 2001, the band debuted a more rock-oriented sound with third album Outside Inside, broadening their fanbase and touring extensively throughout the US. 2003's Untying the Not further expanded the band's repertoire of styles with its inclusion of electronic and trance elements, paving the way for the continued sonic development that has characterized their subsequent releases.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"The Cheese flowed smoothly from tune to tune, jamming effortlessly. As the sun started to set they cranked up the energy and the place was rocking. Dancing in the aisles abounded."
"These guys are extraordinarily talented performers and musicians, and the audience was the most fun, tolerant, and colorful group of people I've ever seen at a concert."
"Amazing musician's putting out amazing energy! Great blend of blue-grass style tunes that would repeatedly crescendo into amazing high energy jam sessions."

SCI is one of my favorite bands around, I've seen them probably 20 or 30 times over the last 25 years. But I'm done with Stubbs. They cram way too many people in. I tried the VIP thing this time but the VIP areas are either up on the balcony by the stage (good view, but horrible muddy sound) or way at the back of the venue (OK sound, but it's a long way from the stage). If you dig being jammed in tight with a bunch of people, you'd probably love it. But not for me. I hope these guys can play another venue when they come through Austin next time. Otherwise I'll just skip it and see if I can stream the shows.
So much fun jamming and dancing 3 nights at Stubbs to the incredible String Cheese Incident!!!!! Wonderful concert!!
OLG stage is a new theater in Niagra Falls Can. The sound was impeccable. If you like Grateful Dead,Widespread Panic and Phish these guys compete.
Amazing as always. Canât get enough and itâs been too long between visits to SW Ohio. Thanks for a real good time.
I havenât been to a lot of SCI shows where no one around me has heard of or seen the band before, this was one of those shows. I got goose bumps twice during the first set and once during the second! It was so good. By the end of the show everyone was cheering as hard as they could! I am sure most everyone left a fan.
One of the best jam bands I have seen, very entertaining show
I'll never forget..........................................................
outstanding show at Rose Music Center. awesome hand drums. waited a long time to see these fellows live and I was very happy to dance along with the groovy tunes.
Just a total 3 hour jam at a great venue! Would go back. Got front row with plenty of room.
First time seeing them live and they didnât disappoint! A great band to enjoy on a warm summer evening! Will hopefully see them again! đâď¸
Show was great! Beautiful venue. Security were taking their job way too serious. I was on the aisle and they were acting like the secret service with president in town. Venue was half full so people were trying to move to better empty seats which normally isnât a problem. They werenât having it. It was distracting. Loosen up guys.
I got tix from a friend that couldn't make it. I had no idea who this group was 15 minutes before the show. The sound was good as well as the band. The show was better than I expected from the 15 seconds of the video I played while making a decision to go. I would go again but wear older clothes. There were so many drunk people dancing in the isles I got splashed with several drinks. Good thing I didn't get caught in a DUI checkpoint; they would have given me a breathalyzer just because of the scent.
Magical MUSIC Magical Experience @The Rose in Huber 95% of crowd danced all night Thanks for going w me Christy.
The show was great! SCI had a great mix of country/bluegrass and trippy, spacey, exploration. It was a wonderful show! I hope they continue to visit PA. Penn's Peak never disappoints.
String Cheese Incident always delivers. Canât wait to see these guys in action again. Pennâs Peak was also a beautiful venue. 10/10 a great time.
Great concert! Unfortunately it got cut short due to rain. The venue was awesome. Seats were great, sound was good and overall a great experience!
it was a very good concert. i like the venue a lot, very nice and friendly people at the gate, food service, etc. easy parking and plenty of spaces. we only got to watch and listen to the STRING CHEESE band for about 1 hour 30 minutes total, because of rain and lighting, had to go to the cars. i hope they return to UTAH again, real soon !! THANK YOU !!
It was all good until the second set started, and the venue close the show due to weather that was on its way, but not there yet. so Iâm hoping theyâll be some type of refund available after spending as much money as I did on these tickets.
Only got to listen to one set. Violent storm. First set and the venue were great!
