THE STRING CHEESE INCIDENT IN CONCERT:
The String Cheese Incident may be America's quintessential jam band, effortlessly traversing genres and styles to create a truly sweeping live experience that incorporates elements of bluegrass, electronica, and psychedelia into their rock-based sound. Intuitively playing off each other, the band's talented roster of musicians improvise freely atop a full-throttle rhythm section that consistently brings fans to their feet for a dance in the aisles. With Song in My Head — their first studio album in nine years — due out in 2014, the band are sure to be sharper than ever on their tour dates in support of the release.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Named after a food fight that heavily featured cheese, the String Cheese Incident kicked off in Colorado in 1993, self-releasing their early bluegrass-influenced albums and building a regional following with their extended live shows. In 2001, the band debuted a more rock-oriented sound with third album Outside Inside, broadening their fanbase and touring extensively throughout the US. 2003's Untying the Not further expanded the band's repertoire of styles with its inclusion of electronic and trance elements, paving the way for the continued sonic development that has characterized their subsequent releases.

C'mon, the skydivers during the day and then again with sparks at night set a new standard. Well done, Cheese. by brittaber on 7/27/10Red Rocks Amphitheatre - Morrisonthis was my first incident and only my 2nd and 3rd time at red rocks. the show was incredible, such high positive energy, beautiful light performances and sound features. every moment of the show was magic. sci got downnn with the funk and at times put me into a trance, an awakening of my soul. the music made me alive.

In general admission we dont have reserved seats, yet, people take the initiative to save a ten foot squared space fr people who have not yet showed up for the event. Its kind of rediculous when everyone who has a GA ticket needs to fit in the GA area but yet, no one lets you stand anywhere. We sat in the reserved seats two nights in a row with red rocks staff trying to kick us out, where should we sit if no one alows us to sit anywhere?

Excellent songs played, including Black Clouds, Jellyfish, a ridiculous Johnny Cash and a jammy Roll Over. The parachute jumpers with smoke during the first set and fire during the second were a treat!
