I'm not much of a musical fan and went into the event with some doubts, but I have no regrets! The show clearly contained some of the best theatrical talent in Canada and some scenes left me in tears! The play was extremely well acted, choreographed and directed. The quality of the acting and singing was second to none. Definitely worth the price of admission.
Lots of fun. It was great to be able to sing along.
I enjoyed the production of The Sound of Music. The actors had tremendous voices especially the Head Nun and Maria. I also enjoyed all the nuns since my granddaughter played one of them. The performance was well organized and had several cast members that all played their parts to produce an amazing play.
The Sound of Music was a triumph! Very professional and talented young cast that kept us glued to the stage for the entire performance. The nun's singing in the church in the wedding scene was nothing short of spine tingling...just beautiful.
My wife and I took my daughter to see this musical. It was put on by a local youth performers group. Many of the performers were very impressive. It was a small venue, so my 5-year-old could see and hear everything that was going on. We had a very good time.
Great performance! Very entertaining. Kids did a very good job.
An amazing display of actor talent, from the youngest member to people who represented the adults!
This was put on by the Young People's Theatre so the actors were all kids. I was very impressed with the female characters and their voices were AMAZING. I got chills and cried even a little. I was less impressed with the boy playing the captain, but of course Christopher Plummer has BIG shoes to fill. Our family enjoyed it very much.
I love that there is quality entertainment that is both affordable and appropriate for little kids. This is an excellent way to introduce/share the theater experience with younger children. There are several other families with kids, yet the audience was respectfully quiet. The location is perfect with a $5 parking structure directly across from the entrance. The musical itself was beautifully done and the young people on stage were a joy to watch. Maria and Mother Superior especially had amazing voices. The character of Max was played by a very entertaining young man as well; he will be fun to watch in future performances! This is our second YPT experience and my boys (4 and 7) can't wait for the next one!
