    children were cute

by Keres on 11/21/10Mendelssohn Theatre - Ann Arbor

it was a children's theater production. For that venue it was well done. Several of the children acted well and several and a nice voice. The Mother Superior and an excellent voice. The sets were well done. If you want to see a play by a young group, thisewould be a good one.

    Fabulous show

by Snehal on 11/21/10Mendelssohn Theatre - Ann Arbor

We loved the sound of music play. It was superbly done and with a finesse comparable with a professional broadway show. The cast was superb and all the people blended in the character very well.

It was cute. The tickets were not represented as youth theatre.

    YPT did a great job!

by Leigh90 on 11/20/10Mendelssohn Theatre - Ann Arbor

This was my first show with young people's theatre, and I think the kids all did a great job. Max was fabulous. When he started, it was hard to forget he was a kid (much shorter than his co-star), but by the end, he had overcome all of that. He was fantastic. Maria had the most beautiful voice, and Leisl did a great job! She was the perfect sweetheart.

Had to be one of the best versions of Sound of Music I've seen in years. It's amazing the talent in Lexington and surrounding areas, from the youngest to oldest member of the cast it was perfection. Love to see that the local talent can bring a "broadway" production to life. Congrats to the entire cast, crew and orchestra for a great performance.

    Surprisingly Superb!

Very well done. Very professional. Julie Andrews has nothing on the lead singer for Maria. Couldn't find a single thing to fault. The packed audience gave a well deserved standing ovation.

    Sound of Music

by HENMAR on 8/9/10Lexington Opera House - Lexington

The production was extremely entertaining. The young lady who played Maria has a beautiful voice and peformed at a level much greater than her years. She captivated the audience with her eyes and voice.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC was a pure delight. All of the actors were good. I especially enjoyed the performances by Maria, Captain Von Trapp, and Mother Superior. The harmony achieved by the nuns was wonderful. The set, lighting, and costumes were just right. I loved the way the play moved along at a good pace - allowing me to remain involved in the story and the characters.

    A wonderful experience

by phorton on 8/9/10Lexington Opera House - Lexington

Following Julie Andrews & Christopher Plummer is a hard mountain to climb, but Paragon did it wonderfully. The talent was top-rate, the orchestra excellent, and the adaption of this timeless story to a stage performance was extremely well done and very moving. It's not every performance that will make a 40-year old guy tear up multiple times. Should've brought my hanky...

This musical was amazing and everyone did an awesome job. The music was fabulous. After going to Beauty and the Beast, I thought I was going to be dissappointed in this one since it was a local production. I was wrong. I look forward to attending more plays in the future.

Best I have seen in years

Spent the first 20 mins trying to see if the actors were lip-sinking the sound track. They were not. Excellent voice and acting of Sydney Steele - sounded better than Julie Andrews

    Sound of Music

by broadwaychick1 on 8/2/10Lexington Opera House - Lexington

Knowing this was a local production, my bar was not set very high. Boy was I wrong! I was blown away by the talent. I've seen MUCH less in professional productions. Maria was not only a beautiful singer but was quite the natural actress. Mother Superior raised the hair on my arms with the first notes of "Climb Every Mountain". All other cast members, including the children, seemed at ease on the stage and had great voices. I have already recommended attending the Sound of Music next weekend to a number of folks.
